Chapter 3: The Forest
Amethyst woke up to the sound of her mother's voice. "Wake up, my hatchlings. It is time to go outside and get food." mom said as she made her way to the entrance. Getting up and stretching Amethyst followed her mom her siblings behind her. Outside the cave was a forest. Amethyst could hear sounds of life all over the forest in front of her. Her mom lead her threw the forest until they came to a clearing.
"Ok hatchlings go find your own food and bring it back here." mom said turning to look at us. "Don't go too much deeper into the forest or you will find stronger creatures who could kill you." mom warned. Amethyst activated sneak and snuck through the forest in search of food. Not much time passed before she heard movement on the ground. When she was close enough she could see the creature. Amethyst studied and was rewarded with a notification.
"Bing ability, inspect Lvl 1 gained," said the system. She used inspect on the creature. Level 3 Cockatrice. She decided to use her wind magic. Gathering wind mana from the surroundings she used mana manipulation to shape it into a sharp blade before throwing it at the cockatrice. The wind cut the cockatrice's head off.
"Bing, Level gained," the system said in her head. She decided to allocate them when she got back to her mom. She started dragging the carcass back to the clearing her mom was waiting in. Amethyst heard leaves rustle and a cockatrice popped out. She used inspect on it. It was level 5 she sent another blade of wind at it. The cockatrice was hit, it wasn't dead yet but it was out of the fight. She sent a ball of fire at the other killing it and cooking it as well.
"Bing multiple levels acquired," the system said. She dragged the first one back. "Hey, mom, dad, there are two more cockatrices that I killed over there," she told them. Her father went over and retrieved them both. One her carried in his talons the other he made appear out of nowhere. By then her siblings had returned. Crimson and Jasper shared boar. Sapphire had a big squirrel. Amethyst opened her stats while she ate.

The ability to see and sense mana
Thinking about where she wanted to add her points she willed her stats to give more description.
Strength - The stat that represents physical power. Used to determine how strong you are and how hard you hit.
Dexterity - Represents a physical nimbleness. Used to determine fine motor skills, reaction time, and aiming.
Constitution - The stat representing a character's physical toughness. Used to determine how much Hp, how well you resist poisons, illnesses, and how much endurance you have.
Intelligence - The stat representing how smart you are and how much Mp you have
Wisdom - The stat used to determine your perception, willpower, and decision-making skills.
Charisma - The stat representing your force of personality. Used to determine how well you can influence others by speeches, diplomacy, fear, lying, etc.
Amethyst decided to focus on strength, dexterity, constitution and intelligence. She put 3 into strength and constitution. Then put 2 in dexterity and intelligence. Accepting the stats she glowed purple as the changes happened. She felt more muscular now. Finishing her food she looked at her updated stats.

Happy with the results she closed her stats. "Amethyst what level are you know?" her mom asked. "Level 4 now," she replied. Her mom nodded. She and her siblings practiced battling each other. It wound up being her verses them because she was stronger. Then they practiced their magic abilities.
The sun was sinking below the trees when they all gathered around to finish their kills from earlier. After they finished mom lead them back to the cave to sleep. Curling up beside her mom and sister Amethyst fell deep asleep.
The next few days passed with hunting and training, because of this she gained a level. She quickly distributed them, putting 1 in strength, dexterity, constitution, and intelligence. She thought about where to place the last point. After pondering she decided it would be useful in charisma. She accepted the change and glowed purple once again. Then she decided to try to collapse her abilities to shorten her stats page. It worked now her stats were shorter.

Today she sat with mom and dad and they taught her more about the world. "In this world there are towns were magical beasts and creatures with high intelligence live. They are like human towns But some are run by non-humanoids" mother explained. Her mom went onto explain about how the humanoids acted, but she stopped listening. She remembered her past life as a human and from what she read then. When the topic changed to dragons she eagerly listened. "Dragons in some places are rulers some are good some are bad. Lesser dragon species and cousins of the dragons often work for the dragons." mother explained. "Tomorrow we will journey to present you three to the dragon of these wildlands. You are now old enough and strong enough to make the journey." Father said.
