Chapter 8: 7.Home

7.Home

3rd Person's POV

Carnage was currently crouching stiffly, hands planted in front of her as her manic smile had turned into a frown, occasionally stubbornly twitching upwards before being forced down. Gwen didn't know what to think, especially when she never had that Symbiotes were able to physically frown. One moment they were having an intense battle, then suddenly, their enemy had suddenly jumped away from them and looked to be conflicted with herself/itself.

"_-They're here!-_" Came the sudden exclamation of both Venom and Petra, which Gwen didn't need much clarification on as she already knew who they were. It must also been why Carnage had suddenly backed out. And the only logical thing Gwen could think as of why is that she realized that it was Iron Man and knew he had a much more painful device for her.

Gwen knew that even if outnumbered, Carnage can hold her/its own and probably even kill them, but Tony Stark was most of the time, prepared for anything, and he could always adapt when overwhelmed. Then, Gwen had a sudden thought if Carnage would be afraid of Thor, however, thinking about it now, it probably wouldn't. The blonde had an inkling that Symbiotes can never feel fear, and would rather be more focused on making tactical retreats against overwhelming enemies before coming back for them once stronger, or at least be on the same plane of strength.

Soon enough, Iron Man landed in front of them, and surprisingly, with another person in a female version of his armor in the color scheme of grey and dark green.

"Hope we weren't late for the party. Had to refuel." The man inside the armor casually mentioned, even taking off his mask to show a smile that matched his tone and the only response he got was a growl from Carnage, who wasn't even paying attention to him and was intently staring at the person he brought with him.

"Aww~. You're actually prettier in person! I mean, you're pictures were blurry, but a bit of tweaks on it made it clearer and WOW! The face is kind off a turn off and not, but lower than that and da-" Tony, as he usually is, practically didn't care about the situation they were in was shamelessly...flirting? But before he could say more, the woman in the armor had surprisingly punched him straight to his face, and luckily, his instincts had taken over and had his mask cover his face just in time!

"Shut your trap Tin Can! Can't believe no one filed sexual harassment on your ass!" Then, for some odd reason, her voice was familiar to the two herions, and the tense atmosphere from earlier had been comically been broken by her action. It still didn't mean any of them wasn't prepared to quickly attack each other if something happened.

"Uhh. I actually get a lot of those from parents." He admitted whilst rubbing his forehead, only he was actually rubbing the forehead part of his mask.

"Before we get off topic." He continued, then was once again cut off by his female "counterpart".

"We weren't even on a topic." The woman had quickly snapped at him, but he had ultimately ignored it.

"Let's just address the fact that you should quickly talk to Red over here before she swings away like our spiderlings here." The only man in the group pointed at Carnage, who was looking just about ready to swing away, or rather, jump away with the constantly tensing muscles on her/its legs.

"Don't you dare!" Surprisingly, the woman's voice had become louder and commanding, and Petra and Gwen was confused as to why her voice sounded so familiar to them, and why Carnage was so focused on the woman in the first place.

"_Grrrr._" A low growl was the response she got from the red symbiote, but a closer look showed she was slowly inching away, and the woman didn't miss it.

"Frey! Don't you fucking run away!" The woman commanded, voice filled with fury and indignation, but still calm, nearly mirroring a certain one-eyed pirate that Tony well and not.

Gwen and Petra were now truly confused. Moments earlier, they were practically fighting for their lives, since Carnage was their current opponent, but now since the arrival of their "boss" and his companion, things just got really confusing. They even saw how Carnage seemed to have listened to this awfully familiar woman behind the armor.

"You don't get to run away because of something stupid like that BITCH! cheating on you!! She doesn't deserve you either way!" Suddenly, an argument had begun, and the two heroines just didn't know what to do anymore. Weren't they supposed to apprehend Carnage? Why were they suddenly in the middle of something that came out of a cheesy drama scene of a second rate movie.

However, they did understand that these two, the woman in the armor and the current host of Carnage had a relationship, family perhaps, and somehow, the woman knew that her daughter? was Carnage's current host. Gwen thought about asking Tony about that later if they wouldn't find out about it here.

Speaking of the playboy, he was sitting a safe distance away from the two, watching cross-legged like he was in a play.

Still, back to the matter at hand, even their argument had went to something the two were familiar with. The word "cheating" had hit a sore spot, especially since they had committed said act against Gwen's ex, Freyja, which, thinking now, had sent their minds into multiple speculations.

In their minds, they had made multiple scenarios where Carnage's current host was Freyja, taking in how she was called "Frey", Freyja's shortened name, Carnage's current host's gender and sudden appearance, and the disappearance of the young woman herself. Though, this was mere speculation, but everything is impossible, and one, or rather two, who were bitten by "radioactive" spiders and were given powers cannot casually cast aside such a farfetched thought.

"You're too much of treasure, and that blonde bimbo doesn't deserve you!" She continued with the one-sided argument, and Carnage had slowly morphed into a puppy, whimpering and growling lowly. This greatly surprised the two heroines once again in addition with Venom, who was the most surprised since she would never expect her daughter to act this way, whoever her host may be. She was sure that Carnage would rather eat her own host than let it show weakness. Then, once again, they yelped in surprise when the woman had suddenly blasted Iron Man on his thigh when he off-handedly muttered something that involved "mass murderer".

"So calm down. Let's talk it out. You don't have to keep doing this...unless if you want to be a badass vigilante, but we can talk about it later. Just...come back home. If I don't, you'll have to deal with mom next time. You know how she gets when she's mad." From aggressive and commanding, to caring and calm, the woman did a complete flip on her approach as she slowly inched closer towards the seemingly pacified symbiote.

"Mmm." Slowly, a voice different from Carnage's or two voices speaking at the same time agreed softly, but Carnage had remained as her/its suit. And after all this time, Petra and Gwen are still confused as to what is happening, and all they could do was to speak to each other quietly and continue to make assumptions.

"Good. Brooding and being a psychopathic mass-murderer doesn't suit you anyways." The woman had, at this point, reached Carnage and was able to carefully able to offer her hand.

"Though an anti-hero with a penchant for killing would suit you better. Don't think your big sister wouldn't notice what you do." With Carnage taking her hand, she pulled the red symbiote-clad woman off the ground, a sign of peace, in a way.

"You know, I expected more blood and explosions and guns involved. Never really thought a one-sided heart-to-heart would actually work." And the silent moment was ruined with Tony Stark rejoining the conversation that didn't exist between them.

"At least the power of friendship wasn't involved. If you used that sappy shit, then I would have been immensely disappointed. But I guess this is the power of family? I mean, there actually scientific-" Once again, the playboy billionaire received a direct hit, this time to the crotch with a miniature gatling gun.

"Would filing any kind of complaint or whatever work against you? If there is one, I'll use it on you." With her daughter? now standing beside her, the woman had turned cold and annoyed in a matter of seconds. But one must understand that Tony Stark, though handsome as many women would agree with, had a very punchable face.

"Ah! That actually hurt? I rarely get hit on the crotch, better check on it later. And! If there was one that would work against, remember, spawn of the pirate, I. Am. Rich!" Understandably, he received another flurry of bullets on his current weak spot. In truth, he wasn't receiving any damage physically, but the image of getting shot on the dick is still painful for a man mentally.

"I'm definitely keeping the suit. I'll call you if there are any problems with it." And just like that, she scooped up her daughter? from the ground and just flew away, leaving a rather perplexed pair of heroines and a "hurt" arrogant man-baby.

"Not even a thank you!?" He complained, but the person he intended his words for was already a distance away.

"She better give me daily updates on that. Pirate jr. shouldn't be too much like Pirate senior." Muttering to himself, he ignored the two heroines who had once again went to their imaginations with the mentions of "Pirate jr." and "Pirate senior". They had already given up on finding out what had happened and just went with their imaginative theories.

Michelle's POV

With Freyja now secured in my embrace, still covered in the symbiote goop?, I felt super relieved. It was really a good thing that Stark was able to make sure that Freyja was the current host of Carnage with multiple cross references and other technological help, the bad thing though was that Freyja was the current host of Carnage.

I never would have thought that she was capable of killing, even with her past experiences and knowing that she was "broken". Her past was a touchy subject, but she was able to share it with mum and I in the context that we were family, but honestly, I knew that it was that she just couldn't fully hide from us, or rather, from me because mum already knew it from...him.

"Stay suited up until we reach the Avengers' HQ. I'll still need to pick something up so that Stark wouldn't keep on annoying me when I take this armor." Feeling her tighten her hold around me, I told this suit's A.I., Paris, to boost the speed up a bit, enough that it would be uncomfortable for a normal person, but having some knowledge about Symbiotes, taken from videos and proven research from the government that they allowed to be given out to the public, I knew Freyja could handle this type of speed.

Paris had actually been a big help, constantly guiding me and was even able to predict what I wanted to do, already telling me how to acces the weapons and on how to use them. It also gave me lots of information that I needed at the time to remain calm and to further prove that Freyja was the person behind the red suit whenever I thought that she wasn't.

As much as it pained me to know that this, the murdering psychopath, was the sister that I grew up with, I just wouldn't let myself be disturbed by that fact, knowing that Freyja needed me more than the fact that she had killed someone and that I should be afraid and be disgusted. It also seemed that Paris had given me a chemical mix that helped me stay calm and avoid any kind of misunderstandings that would lead to a problem between my sister and I. The suit really is great, and it was a good thing Stark still owed him enough that he'll let me use this prototype, or rather, model.

Still, back to the topic.

"Let's go home."

[A/N: I think there's a lot of weirdness and plot holes, but I just want this part to end and progress to something else. I'm just getting impatient and get to the juicy bits.]
