Chapter 2: the wolfe family
when I opened the door there was a boy about my age maybe and he had just gotten out of the shower. i couldn't help but stare. he was....perfect. his body still covered in droplets of water and his hair still wet. I couldn't help but notice how perfectly his body was sculpted. rock hard abbs, and strong muscles and with the water dripping off of him it just made him 10 times more hotter.
"Like what you see" he said and it caught me off guard.
"I...uh..um" I stuttered I didn't know what to say.
he chuckled "you must be the new foster kid that everyone's talking about"
I took a deep breath getting myself back to gether.
"yes, yes I am and I don't know who you are but if your eating here jane told me to come get you and tell you that dinners ready"
"alright ill be out there in a bit"
"ok"
"wait! whats your name and don't you want to know my name" he remarked.
"no I don't want to know your name because I don't care, and you'll have to figure out my name your self" I said with sass. and then I left him there moth wide open and I shut the door. I guess he wasn't used to being rejected. ha well he better get used to it cause I'm not east to get. Not after what....he did to me.
as I was walking down the hall to find Andrew I couldn't help but think of that boys body again and my cheeks flushed immediately and while I wasn't paying attention I ran into something or someone. It was Andrew, and I had fallen to the floor hard. he laughed and asked if I was OK and I nodded and laughed all little to at my own clumsiness.
"jane had asked me to come get you and the boys but I kinda got lost and I couldn't find you guys" I said.
"oh that's alright you can go ahead and head back down to the dinner table I will get the boys so you don't get lost anymore"
"Are you sure" i asked
"yes, its fine do you need help finding your way back"
"No I'm ok I remember how to get back down there"
"Ok see you at the table".
I had turned and left and headed back down the hall and ignored the thoughts of the boy i had ran into in the bathroom and made it to the table.
I helped jane set the rest of the table and put the food on it. the boys were already down there and sitting at the table ready to eat. me and jane finished putting the food down and we had sat in our seats. we started to eat and andrew started to ask me a few questions.
"So why don't you tell us a few things about your self Ava" he asked
"Well as you know I'm a foster kid, and I've never stayed with one family for long, well there was one family but i wanted to leave that place, and I love animals but wolves have to be my favorite animal by far". i answered.
"why did you want to go back to the foster care away from the family" one of the sons said.
"umm, things I'd rather not discuss right now i don't know if I can trust you guys with that much yet."
"why"?
"son thats enough" Andrew said.
"No its fine I just don't trust people easily. like for instance I don't even those twos names I only know jane's and Andrew's name" I said
"oh my, I had forgotten to introduce you how silly of me, Ava this is Alex my son and his friend Cole, and im sure you two know who Ava is". jane said.
"i do now" cole said with a smerk. Obviously he still remembers me walking in on him in the bathroom.
"Yes i know, you never stopped talking about her mom. I'm surprised she hasn't talked your ear off yet Ava."
"no not yet, but I wouldn't mind having someone to talk to" i said with a chuckle.
"Why do you lile wolves so much Ava" Andrew asked curiously.
"Well i don't really know the just fascinate me so much and I've ran into one before while I was at another family, and surprisingly it wasn't scared and it didn't attack it jist stood there looking at me until I got the courage to walk up to it and it still didn't move. since then I've just felt more connected to wolves than any other animal I've seen."
"Wow" jane said.
they all didn't look surprised like they knew something about wolves that I didn't and I could t figure it out so I just ignored it and we all finished dinner and they asked a few more questions.
later that night after i took a shower and was in my pajamas jane had came in and asked if i wanted to watch a movie with them and I just wanted to sit here and read maybe or listen to music, possibly play my guitar i haven't done that in a while but I didn't want to seem mean so I agreed. a little while into the movie we heard the door knock and Alex went and answered the door and a man walked in and Alex and him hugged each other i figured it was his brother because the look alike, and jane had jumped up and gave him an even bigger hug.
"Hey mom" he said
"oh son I've missed you so much"
"its only been a month since I've been gone"
"i know but that doesn't mean a mother can't miss her son"jane said and the boy laughed.
"who's this" he motioned to me.
"Oh that's Ava the foster girl I told you about" she answered.
He just nodded and said "I'm James" i nodded back and jane pulled him over to the couch to watch the rest of the movie. After the movie it was pretty late so we all went to bed and of course I couldn't sleep so I started to read a book. I started hearing noises down the hall and my curiosity got the best of me and followed the noises and they stopped in the kitchen. Could someone possibly be trying to rob the wolf's house.
