Chapter 11: Entrance Exams

Momo walked into the UA entrance exams. She surveyed the area like Izuku taught her to and got information about their quirks. Three people seemed excessively powerful: one boy with a burn on his eye, another boy who had the appearance of a bird, and a third boy with light blonde hair. Momo decided to keep a low profile while Izuku monitored from the outside. She opposed, but he insisted. Everything went well with the written part because Momo wasn't stupid. It was time for the practical exam. The actual exams consisted of the students fighting villain bots, and they earned points for the ones they took down. Students are not allowed to fight each other, and they unknowingly got points for heroic acts, such as saving others.

The test started. Because Momo went on patrol every night, this was a simple test for her. It wasn't even hard to find the bots because they placed them where villains typically stay. Momo was on a roll. She also had a chance to try out some new moves she had made. She made modern armor. She equipped the armor with weapons, smoke bombs, and Izuku's anti-gravity shoes. Izuku wouldn't let her go unless she agreed to wear them. She was cruising through the streets and taking down villains when she saw that a boy was falling at a rapid speed. From a distance, the shoes couldn't take her to him in time, so she had to take a gamble and throw a trampoline where she predicted he was going to fall. She saved him.

He was fighting a big robot who's remains managed to smash on the building he was on and mess up his balance. He fought the robot to protect a girl he saw. Izuku was watching the fight from a distance. He didn't notice when Momo saved Bakugou, but he was surprised that Momo could do this well on her own. He was happy she wasn't the weak, unreliable girl she was a few months ago. Izuku took a moment to breathe and take in what had happened in the past few months. He still cried all the time, worrying about his mother and how she would be doing without him. He was still dumbfounded. He thought that this was all a dream. The way he cleaned up the city, living in a run-down shack on the beach, Making money off fighting, he still never believed that so much was wrong in Japan. He had yet to apprehend the masked man that had Eri and Neri.

The exams were over. Momo started to converse with the guy she saved. He was one of the three guys that she found tough at the start. He seemed well-versed, and he was brawny. He looked like he could do some hero work. She still didn't know that he knew Izuku. She went back to the beach and told everyone how the exams went. She most likely passed. She was so ecstatic, and Izuku even threw a small, quiet party on the beach. Momo went back home early because Izuku gave her the night off patrol because of the exams. It was a regular patrol. They apprehended some criminals, Eri made them into babies and tied them up, and Neri made them adults again. The thugs were so confused. They never knew what happened.

Izuku decided to make new weapons for himself. He started to work on some firearm based weapons. He had no gadgets that he could use from a distance instead of close up. It was a good idea. He made a stun gun, using a sleeping drug he bought when he looked older. It wasn't complete, but he decided to take it for a spin. He first tested it on animals like fish. It worked. Then he tested it on himself, making sure to tell Eri to rewind if anything went wrong. It worked again. Momo came running in with a smile on her face.

"I got in! First place," she said

Izuku ran up to her and kissed her. He was happy for her. She was so skilled that she even outclassed everyone else taking the exam.

"Deku, I have something you would like to know," Momo said. She looked serious. A side of her Izuku had never seen before.

"What happened?"

"All Might is going to be teaching there as well," she said.

Izuku looked outraged. Thinking about what All Might said to him all those months ago triggered him. He went inside and shot himself with his gun so that he slept. Izuku had a weird dream. He was lucid, but he still couldn't control his thoughts. He was dreaming about All Might again. All Might was telling him that he couldn't be a hero. Over and over again. Then Bakugou came and exploded him. He woke up hours later, covered in sweat. He was still angry when he woke up, but he had cooled down. He was in control now. He had to accept the fact that his girlfriend would be learning under the person who betrayed him and with his bully.

Izuku couldn't do anything about it, or else he would either be classified as a villain, expose his identity, or lose the girl he loved. He punched the ground. After all he had done, he still couldn't get rid of these feelings he had for All Might. He kept on hating him. He had to keep calm. He remembered all the good he had done, and others did for him. He met his soulmate, and he reunited two inseparable siblings. He was happy to be this impactful to their lives, even if it meant damaging his. He smiled at his new life. As frugal as it was, it was filled with happiness and excitement. Izuku chuckled. He never thought that he would be a vigilante cruising the streets with handmade weapons that defied gravity. He accomplished a lot. And never would he forget that.
