Chapter 13: Getting new stuff.
After gathering up our new trunks we made our way around the alley. I bought just about everything I could think of. Starting with a list of hogwarts books from year 1 to year 7. You always need to start off with the basics. I got everything from transfiguration to potions books. I'll probably see if I can get gringotts to hire me some private tutors. I bought up just about every book on subjects that interested me. From dueling to herbology. I'd see if I could purchase some of the more dangerous spells from Arcturus. I know for a fact the black library has a lot of nasty items.
I bought some potion kits including cauldrons, along with spare items like bezoars. I even stocked up on some potions they had for sale. Who knows when I would need them. I bought a set I'd keep in my inventory and a set for my trunk.
I bought myself a nice owl and all of the accessories for it. It was a nice big eagle owl. I named it Dr.Whoo.
It didn't seem very pleased with my naming sense. While I was at it I subscribed to the daily prophet and some owl order shops. It would be good to be able to buy stuff from home.
I wanted to go and search for some nice dark items from Borgin and Burke's but I figured I was trying to work on Bella's darker attitude and me going and buying dark items at this point in time would probably be Ill advised.
I visited the candy store where I got myself tons of junk food along with the excited little girl. What kids don't love candy? My favorites happen to be fruity things or sour candies. I did buy all the original candies like Bertie Botts and chocolate frogs. I skipped the licorice wands cause black licorice is absolutely disgusting. I did get the pumpkin cakes though I'd throw some whip cream on them later on.
I had some lord robes made by request of Arcturus since I might need them at some point in the future. "Honestly I don't know why you guys keep wearing stuffy old robes they went out of style over 200 years ago." I complain.
"And are we supposed to just wear muggle clothes?" Bella asks.
"Clothes are clothes technically those robes your wearing were originally muggle clothes literally every single set of clothes ever made or will be made will count as muggle." I point out. "Besides my clothes are way more comfortable without having to use cooling or heating charms and I get a pack of 4 shirts for a tenth of the price you pay for a single robe." I say patting my nice fruit of the loom t shirt.
"I'll give you guys some clothes to try on later. I'm sure you'll like the feeling and then tell me if you still want to wear those stuffy old robes." I say looking at the two who look like they are wearing coats. It's fucking summer and hot. They are sweating up a storm even with the cooling charms.
I finish my fitting for my stupid robes which I'll probably never wear and then we head off.
We go back to gringotts since it's a bit past lunch time. I quickly ask ragnok if he could find me some tutors and he easily agrees. I also ask if Bellatrix could join in on some hand to hand combat training since she seems like the rowdy type.
He also agrees to that.
Writing down my address on a piece of paper I quickly show it to Ragnok, Arcturus, and Bella before using my new wand to burn it to ashes with some sparks.
I put my hand on Bella and Arcturus before using my ring to portkey us to my house. As soon as we are there the wards come up locking them in place.
I quickly write their names in the ward book so they aren't considered intruders anymore. They look around at my beautiful house which is very well lit and comfy thanks to central air. I love air conditioning. Like I said most houses that wizards own are still lit up by things like torches.
"This is a beautiful home. May I ask how are you keeping it lit?" Arcturus asks me.
"Muggle electricity I've given most of the set up plans to the goblins who will be implementing it in some of their shops. I don't have to worry about hot torches or anything like that as it's all renewable and self sustaining." I explain flipping a light switch on and off.
"Muggles came up with this?" Bella asks in shock.
"Yep they come up with a lot more than you realize." I tell her heading off to the living room.
"Before we get started on fun activities how about we change those hot clothes into something more comfortable." I guess their sizes for clothes and head off to a different room buying them all sorts of new clothes from my time.
I walk back in and hand them the clothes. "There's bathrooms only each guest room you can use to take a shower to get rid of all that sweat I'll throw some food on and take one myself." They look at me in confusion for a second.
"Have you guys never taken a shower?" I ask in shock.
"No we usually bathe in tubs." Arcturus says.
Ah I figured that would be easier. I lead them to the shower room and show them how to work the shower. I also show them the shampoo and conditioner and body wash.
After making sure they knew what to do I went to the kitchen and pulled out some pizza from the freezer and showed my chef elf Loppy how to work the pizazz. Today lord black and Bellatrix we're going to learn the wonders of pizza and movies.
I was going to hit them with the classic Jurassic Park and see if they enjoyed that.
