Chapter 81: Training.
After my body was healed we had bought a nice place in America. We had a magical house that was hidden away and then a regular non hidden house which would be used for training. They had hired some of the best instructors in the world in martial arts, military training, and gun training. They were under strict contracts so they wouldn't be able to talk about who they were training all they knew was they were training a powerful and rich couples son to protect himself from potential kidnappers and hostile environments.
Training with goblins and aurors are much different than training with retired spec ops and mixed martial arts tutors. I was not allowed to use magic since we didn't want to blow our cover. I did however get to memorize lots of different fighting styles using my new eyes which was fantastic. Judo, karate, military boxing, Krav Maga, jiu jitsu. Every different kind of trainer I could get I would watch and steal moves from.
This wasn't just for me aswell this was also for the family. The flamels were learning with me as they found it interesting. The girls in my mind were also picking things up especially the vampire girls. What's more dangerous than a super powered vampire? A well trained super powered vampire.
I contemplated changing as that would be a huge benefit but it also came with some nasty backlash in the magical world. I don't even think I could be an heir as a vampire. Bella told me this was indeed true as technically only wizards and witches could be heir or heiresses to another wizard. So I gave that up. That was technically why my heirship of the potter family was stripped from me in this world. Being a squib I wouldn't be allowed to inherit.
I learned quite a bit about politics in this timeline from the more informed girls like Narcissa and both Bella's. I'm not going to lie and say I'm a master over everything. There's stuff of course I don't know. I can also improve on everything I already know. There's no such thing as mastering something you just get better at it.
During times I wasn't studying with my military or martial arts teachers. I was improving my magic with the flamels. Everything from potions to dueling. We abused the shit out of time turners and elixir of life.
Everything in this world was much more deadly and complex. A single misstep on my part could fuck me over. A super powered Voldemort was prowling around. My rituals to destroy horcruxes with magical feedback didn't seem to work. I couldn't use some of my other rituals. Magic here was strange and different. It was like this whole world was put at hard level difficulty and here I was facing some handicaps.
So what do we do to counter that? We get new magical eyes and a obscurus pet. We increase or knowledge to make up for our deficiencies. We quietly wait in the shadows while our fangs grow out. Hidden from our enemies until the perfect time to strike.
After a few years of training with different martial arts teachers we moved on to magical teachers. They had to take vows of secrecy and silence personally written by the old couple who had years of dealing and scheming under their belt.
We also hired a professional killer. The kind who would kill anyone for money including his own mother. For a massive price I had him teach me all of his skills. It took us a long time to find him as the best killers are the ones that are hardest to track down. If you can find them anytime you want then they aren't very good.
I learned everything from silent killing using poisons and hiding bodies properly, to walking into a crowd of people stabbing a major artery and walking out without anyone noticing. The man was a monster. It was fun learning from him. I learned how to frame people, how to mislead investigators, how to make it look like an accident, how to make it look like a crime of passion, how to make it look like a robbery gone wrong.
The man was good at what he did. He gave me tips and tricks that some of the best trained men didn't even know about.
The magical trainers taught me some things I was interested in like the body enhancing magic. I learned plant magic aswell. This one was more for a hobby. So was the mining and smithing magic I had snagged from a goblin book in the system.
Each magic I was taught I would relearn from books in the system. This would fill in gaps that the teachers made or just didn't know. Humans aren't perfect and make mistakes they forget things or change them to suit themselves.
The system doesn't have that flaw. It contains the missing parts I need it may only be in book form but it fills in gaps.
This was how we spent our time. I also took up magical meditation again to safely increase my magical core. Of course this doesn't mean we stayed idle.
We also did some scavenging for items. The locket, which was actually in the same place. There were some changes to this time line like the fact that Sirius was a free man and an auror also acting lord black. Peter Pettigrew was in jail. James and lily were both alive. Lily was a muggle studies teacher at hogwarts James was head auror.
Frank and Alice longbottem were sane. Nevilles grandmother was dead. Apparently she died fighting the lestranges and barty crouch junior. The sacrifice for the horcrux in me was actually a protective house elf named mipsy who stood toe to toe with Voldemort and paid the price. Apparently James and Lily were at an aurors Halloween event and had left us with mipsy who used powerful elf magic as a sacrifice. Then the rest you already know.
We also nabbed the ring which was heavily guarded by parselmouth wards and magic. This time when my stone absorbed the items it didn't bring them to me.
We also dug up the bones of old tommy boys father and replaced them with a jumble of transfigured animal bones. This was all we could get to right now.
