Chapter 35: Chapter 35: I'm your new secretary.

While Xavier was busy at home now, Nick had taken over Knight Groups for now as he is the Vice President. Jeremy was assisting him in every possible way buy Jeremy had the work to manage Knight Groups as well.

On the other hand, Aden was bust with StartArt. He enjoyed entertainment I industry so he was handling the matters there in the absence of the King of Entertainment, Xavier.

"Nick, I've assigned a new secretary for you who will help you", Jeremy informed. Nick nodded while reading some documents. "Send my secretary as quick as possible", Nick said looking up at Jeremy.

"Okay, she will be here in about ten minutes", Jeremy said and walked out of the office.

Ten minutes later, a knock echoed in the office. "Come in", Nick said coldly.

Sound of heels ticking against the marble floor was heard in the office. A young woman in her early twenties walked inside the office wearing a beige knee length pencil skirt and white sleeveless blouse.

"Good morn...", Nick cut her off. "No time for greeting. I have a meeting in an hour", Nick said coldly without looking up. "Okay, sir", the girl answered calmly and stood there.

"Are you just going to stand on my head like this?", Nick asked still not looking up. "But sir...", Nick cut her off. "Go outside and arrange my schedule. I don't have time for chit chat", he said coldly.

The girl look a deep breath in and put a smile on her face. "I know you are my boss but which boss acts like this on the very first day?", she asked a bit rudely. This time Nick looked up to this rude woman.

"What the hell?! Why are you here?", Nick asked in astonishment. "I'm here to work. What else do I need to do in the office of a grumpy old man like you?", she rolled her eyes.

"Mind your language. I'm your senior and boss", Nick said in a cold and firm tone. "Yeah, senior. The one who got beaten up by me", she said while laughing loudly.

This is Crystal Long, 23 year old. She has light tan skin, dark brown hairs, black eyes, pointy nose followed by pink full lips. She was probably 5'5". She was the junior of Nick in school. They were rivals because of different sports teams.

Nick rolled his eyes at her. "But see you ended up being my little secretary leaving your millions worth family business", he mocked playfully. "So what? You were also enjoying because your brother was in charge", she retorted with a mocking smile.

"You talk too much. Being my secretary means obeying and respecting me", he said with arched brows. She nodded in a serious way. "Good. Now go get me a cup of coffee", he ordered. She obeyed and got him coffee.

Everything Nick said, Crystal obeyed without saying a word. Tch! Why is she being so obedient? How I wish to see that carefree girl again. Wait what? Brother has made my mind go insane with this work load. How does he manages so much as well as sis in law? Nick thought and admired Xavier.

A while later, he received a call from Xavier. "I'll be taking some more days off. I need to look for the Evans and get some points equal for my wife. You will handle K.G for now and Aden will do the StarArt", Xavier said sternly.

Nick sighed deeply as he had no way to reject the order of his brother since because of Xavier, he was able to rest a lot while his elder brother handled everything but now it was time for the younger brothers to show what they are capable of.

Nick hung up the call then asked Crystal to arrange the meetings and conferences for the coming week. Crystal followed the orders without saying a word to him that was making him frustrated.

This continued for more a few days before Nick lost his patience.

"Ms. Long, did I say something wrong to you in these days?", Nick asked when Crystal gave him the documents. "No, sir. Why do you think so?", Crystal asked very politely which was surprising to Nick.

The girl who never talked to him properly was now obeying him and was being polite. He wanted to spit out blood. That wasn't something he expected when he saw her in his office the first time.

"Stop being like this. I don't like it that you are not lashing out at me or insulting me. You stupid woman, you're making me go insane", he yelled at himself. Crystal stared at him as if he was some psycho.

"I think you need some rest. Do you want me to call psychiatrist for you, sir?", she said looking at him. He glared at her. "You are the one who's a psycho not me", he said sternly.

"I shall go", she said and walked out leaving the annoyed Nick.

"Let's see for how much time you can stay calm", Nick smiled wickedly.

"Ms. Long, get me coffee", he ordered on the intercom. A while later, Crystal came in with a cup of coffee. Nick spat it out after taking a sip. "Do you want to kill me? It's so bitter", he complained.

"I'll make it again. I'm sorry, sir", she bowed then left. She made another coffee and this time, Nick said it was too sweet. She once again made a cup and served it but Nick said it was not like he wants.

Crystal once again made the coffee and served it patiently. "Its too hot", he complained. She gave him a are you serious look. Of course, it's hot. You asked for hot coffee, idiot. She screamed in her mind but on the surface gave a calm look.

This time she made cold coffee and he said he doesn't wants cold coffee. "Okay, let it be. You can't make it", he stopped her when she was about to leave. She nodded.

The fact was that he drank all the coffee and he was full right now.

He made her do things that would anger her yet she didn't get annoyed.

"Go to the marketing building and get me the files from the managing department", Nick ordered. Crystal bowed and immediately went to get the files. Nick once again sent to different buildings.

"You can't use the elevator to go. Use stairs", he ordered. Crystal nodded.

Is she really going to go all the way down from 67th floor? Nick thought. He decided to see what she does and opened his laptop as he watched the CCTV.

He chuckled when he saw that she first used the bridge connecting the two buildings and then went to the floor. She was smart because both the buildings were connected so once she reaches the other building, she would have to go only 8 or 9 floors down.

Crystal came back with the files and kept the files on the table as she panted. "You can rest for now", Nick said that surprised Crystal. She thought she was hearing things so she asked again to which he patiently replied.

Crystal went back to her office and threw herself on the couch there. Soon, she fell asleep sitting on the couch. Nick came to her office and knocked on the door but no one opened so he entered.

He saw her arm hanging while her head was about to fall off the couch. He chuckled looking at her. He walked towards her and knocked on her head making her open her eyes widely and glare at him.

"Sorry, I fell asleep. Do you need anything?", she asked in an apologetic manner. "Don't come to the office tomorrow", he said sternly. "What? Why? I already apologized. You can't do this to me", she started talking.

"Will you let me speak?", he asked but she kept talking. He moved forward and kissed on her lips shutting her mouth. She froze and her eyes went wide. Nick didn't let go immediately and took the chance to devour her mouth.

One of his arm wrapped around her waist while the other pulled her head closer to his. He let go once he was satisfied. "If you don't shut your mouth then I will do it again, understand?", he asked sternly.

Crystal nodded without saying a word. "Good", he patted her head then continued. "I will pick you up from your house tomorrow at 9 AM. We need to leave for Canada for a business trip."

Crystal's lips formed an O while she gave a nod. "I won't wait for you if you get late. So be ready on time. Also, it's a trip for a week so pack accordingly", he informed and she nodded. "Speak", he ordered.

She shook her head. "I will kiss you if you don't speak", he warned. "I got it. I will be ready and won't you a chance to complain", she said in one breath to which he chuckled.

"Do you want a ride?", he asked. She widened her eyes. "A ride to your home", he said. "What?", she nearly screamed. He gave a confused look but then understood why she was so shocked.

"You pervert girl. I meant if you want me to drop you", he said to which she sighed and shook her head. Idiot. How can you think such thing about this loser? She scolded herself inside her mind.

"Okay, then. Good night. Oh, your sleep is already over", he teased to which she glared.

As soon as Nick left, Crystal held the left side of her chest and sighed deeply.
