My hands shook with excitement and my smile stretched across my face as I took in the letter of acceptance for Hogwarts. I took a deep breath, held it for a second, and breathed out. This was it, I had dreamed of this since the first time I watched the harry potter movie and reading the books made me want it more.

Dream of every geek that loved the Harry Potter franchise was to get the Hogwarts letter and go to the castle built by the four founders. I wondered which of the four houses I would go to, I mean I did have some qualities of all four houses but I had other qualities that went against the houses as well.

Ambition, Shrewdness, Cunning, Leadership, and achievements are what the Slytherin house is about. While I do have ambitions aplenty, it's mostly to be powerful and rich. Powerful enough that no one comes after me or my family and rich enough that I can live in luxury and never have to work.

As for shrewdness and cunning, they come and go. What I mean is that I am naive to my friends and I prefer not to lie. Convoluted plots are not my thing. Achievements, I could care less about. They matter only as much as they can to help me with my ambition.

Slytherins also tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done. While I do this sometimes other times I go for my gut and let the dice land wherever they may.

So not sure Slytherin house is for me. Plus the fanfictions depict Slytherin's house from a rapist house to a house of misunderstood people. Labeled as dark witches and wizards because of Voldemort. I don't know if any of it is cannon but I would like to stay away if possible.

As for Hufflepuff, I know for sure this house is not for me. Hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play, while great-sounding buzz words but really hard to emulate.

I mean, I am not afraid of hard work per se but my motto is to work smart, not hard and that goes against the biggest Tennent of Hufflepuff. Just take my life goal, for example, become strong so people don't bother me, become rich so I don't ever have to work in my life but still live a life of luxury. The ambition that was positive in Slytherin is negative in Hufflepuff.

Now Loyalty is something I do like. Unless the sky is falling I like to give loyalty to those who give me loyalty. Betrayal is something I hate with a passion. If my best friends gave me a million-dollar safe for him and give it back to him 2 years later. Even without a contract, I would do that.

Fairplay is great for sports but in real life, everyone has advantages and disadvantages. I am not someone who would share my advantages with my friends just because they are my friends let alone strangers or acquaintances.

As for dedication and patience, I can take them or leave them. So in conclusion Hufflepuff, while a Greathouse is not the house for me.

The last two are Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. The Ravenclaw House prizes learning, wisdom, wit, and intellect in its members. Thus, many Ravenclaws tend to be academically motivated, and talented students. They also pride themselves on being original in their ideas, and methods.

Now, this house is the house that most closely resembles my qualities. In my last life, I was a member of Mensa. For those who don't know mensa is a society for people with High IQ in the top 2 percentile. The minimum requirement to get into mensa is to have a 132 IQ. Between 100-110 is average for most people in the world, so this shows how high 132 is. I had an IQ of 147, which put me at a 99.9 percentile.

In my last life, I was in the top .1 percentile, and in this life, with the kind of Occlumency I asked from God, I should be even higher. Intellect, wisdom, wit, and learning are something that is ingrained in me. This house is the most compatible with me.

The Gryffindor house emphasizes the traits of courage as well as "daring, nerve, and chivalry," and thus its members are generally regarded as brave, though sometimes to the point of recklessness. Some Gryffindors have also been noted to be short-tempered.

Bravery is an interesting concept to me. Is it an absence of fear or being more afraid than anyone and doing it anyway. When I read the Harry Potter franchise the person I felt that was the most afraid and yet somehow the bravest was Nevile Longbottom.

I remember the harry potter series book 3, Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. In the book at one point, Professor Lupin had a class about Boggarts. The Bogart is a creature that embodies your greatest fears.

For most this is a fear they keep deeply hidden, sometimes even from themselves. Fear of failure, of not being enough, of death or even of a giant spider. The students confront this fear for a couple of seconds before using a spell to get rid of it.

Then Professor Lupin refuses to let Harry do it because he is afraid that the boggart would turn into Voldemort. Harry corrected Professor Lupin that what he is afraid of the most are dementors not Voldemort. Professor Lupin was impressed that what Harry fears the most is fear itself. This is a moment where the readers are shown Harry's heroic quality and leaves a lasting impression on us for the rest of the series.

Many of my friends treat this as a defining moment and forget about other people's fears but I don't. For you see, while other people only have to confront their fears for a tiny moment and then forget about it and Harry has to learn the Patronus so that he can fight his.

There is someone in that class that has to confront what he fears the most daily and there is no spell he can use to fight it. That person is Nevil Longbottom. The Boggart turned into the professor Snape when Nevil confronted it. When he used the Boggart-Banishing Spell (Riddikulus) to change Professor Snape dress everyone laughed and made light of the situation but think about it.

No matter what he does, no matter how he does it or what he learns, he still has to attend Professor Snapes Potion lessons and there is nothing he can do about. While others confronted their fears for a second he has to every day and there is no spell he can learn to combat that situation and yet he still goes to that class no matter how much he is mind-numbingly scared to do so. I wonder if that's bravery.

I don't know if I have that kind of courage but I admire it. I would wish to go to Gryffindor to develop the same kind of courage he does. If I had to choose it would be Gryffindor.

Don't worry, not long until the Hogwart's part starts. I will take maybe 2-3 more chapters to define and illuminate my self-insert and then I will start to make the story move a lot faster.
