Chapter 1: Jiang Hua Becomes The President Of Jiang Group Of Companies
Jiang Hua is the heiress of Jiang Group of Companies in Z city. She lost her both parents in childhood.
Her grandfather, Jiang Bao, the chairman of Jiang Group, took care of her. She had no close relatives other than her grandfather. Her father, Jiang An, was the only child, he had no siblings. And her mother, Chen Fang, was an orphan. Her parents were classmates in university. They fell in love and got married.
Jiang Hua was only five years old when her parents died. Her grandfather pampered her. And never let her feel the absence of her parents. But she became cold after the death of her parents. She is only kind to her grandfather.
She is not arrogant but she doesn't like to approach people, because she became used to living alone since her childhood days.
She is engaged to Ji Guozhi. She didn't want to get into a relationship. But her grandfather was old and he suffered from a heart attack and wanted to see her getting settled in his life.
Jiang Group of Companies is the biggest company in Z city. And Ji Group is the second largest company in the city.
Ji Guozhi is a tall and handsome man. She had no feelings for Ji Guozhi in the beginning. But his gentle behavior and kindness gradually led her to like him.
Jiang Hua turned 23 years old a few days ago. And her grandfather handed over the Jiang Group to her.
Today is the official ceremony of her becoming the President of Jiang Group. All the important personalities of Z city are invited by the Jiang Group in tonight's party.
In a luxurious villa in the rich district of East Garden, Jiang Bao was sitting on the sofa and waiting for his granddaughter.
After a few minutes, Jiang Hua, who was dressed in a beautiful red dress, appeared before him.
Jiang Hua, "Grandpa, I'm ready."
Jiang Bao looked at the girl who was standing in front of him. He was surprised to see his beautiful granddaughter.
His granddaughter had the features and qualities of her both parents. She was beautiful just like her mother and cold like her father. Jiang Bao got emotional after he remembered his deceased son and daughter-in-law.
He signaled Jiang Hua to come near him and then patted her head, "My little baby has grown up!"
His eyes filled with tears, "If your father and mother were alive, they would have been so happy."
Jiang Hua hated to see tears in her grandfather's eyes, "If you would cry like this and waste any more time, then I would resign from this position even before joining it."
Jiang Bao laughed hearing this, "My cold and fierce little baby! You won't cry yourself, that's okay. But you won't even let me cry. This is not fair."
Jiang Hua said indifferently, "I hate tears. Let's go, otherwise I would resign."
Jiang Bao made his expression like he was really afraid of her resigning and said, "Okay, okay, let's go. Ji Guozhi would be waiting for you."
Jiang Bao and Jiang Hua drove in a luxurious Bentley to the venue of the celebration.
The venue was a seven star hotel. It was decorated beautifully for the celebration.
When Jiang Bao and Jiang Hua reached the venue, Ji Guozhi was already waiting for them. He took the blessings of Jiang Bao and walked towards Jiang Hua.
Ji Guozhi smiled, "You look beautiful today."
Jiang Hua simply answered, "Thank you."
Ji Guozhi knew that Jiang Hua didn't like to talk much. She preferred to stay silent and only speaks when needed.
He knew he needed to work hard because his fiancée was cold and unapproachable. He didn't force his feelings on her because he wanted to give her time and wanted her to accept him gradually. And he has already succeeded a little as she is no longer cold like ice as before.
He still remembers when he first met her. She didn't even look him in the eyes and treated him like he was invisible. He'll wait for her.
Then Jiang Bao asked Ji Guozhi to accompany his granddaughter to meet some important business contacts.
Ji Guozhi asked her, "Come, I'll introduce you to some important people in the city."
He took her hand and walked towards a group of businessmen. Jiang Hua let him hold her hand. She has been engaged to him for the last 3 years. She is no longer so cold to him. Maybe it's because she has accepted that one day she'll marry him and she has to live her life with him.
