Chapter 25: The Quirk-Mystery Club
Akane was in her room, currently looking at a display. She was interested in it. This was the second thing she ever saw in her life. She needed a moment, she couldn't read letters, so she was confused for a moment what these words meant, but after a moment it got to her naturally.
In the corner of her eyes she saw two displays, one box with her name in it, her LV, Hit Points and how much currency she had.
According to it, her name is Akane, her LV was at one, she had 200 out of 200 Hit points and her currency was currently zero yen, that seemed about right for her.
The other box had three words in it, Items, Stats, and Equip, she could select those options. She chose Item, then suddenly a big display appeared in front of her, bigger than the two others.
Her item box was apparently empty, but from the look of it she could store eight items, she tried putting a chair in her inventory, which worked, but now Akane felt something heavy and chair like in her back. She checked her body by using echolocation, but Akanes' body shape was the same as always. Thinking about if for a moment Akane theorized that she probably could carry around her body whatever she wanted and it would be concealed, the penalty for her would be that she could feel the form and the weight of the object on her body, which probably would be very annoying.
She then tried something different, she put her hands on her back and tried reaching for the chair, she felt something and then she pulled a chair from behind her back. It felt strange to say the least, but Akane ignored it, Akane decided to never put unproportionally big things in her inventory in that moment, she would feel extremely uncomfortable with the big stuff on her body.
Next thing was stats, a window the same size appeared before her, she looked at it, barely seeing a difference to the little panel right beside it. Her name was fully written out as 'Seigi Akane', right below it was her LV and Hit Points again and right below that was her Attack, Defense, Speed and Luck stat, in the row beside them was a stat that said EXP and NEXT in it, she guessed it meant how much EXP she needed to get to the NEXT LV.
She apparently had an attack of 50, a defense of 35, speed at 41 and luck strangely was at an 'SS+'. EXP had a 0 beside it and NEXT said 10.
Below the stats was the amount of currency she had, she tried putting a one-yen coin on her, then the stat said currency: 1¥. That was straightforward, huh?
And the last thing, the Equip option. She selected it and suddenly a window as big as the two previous windows put together appeared. It showed her body and beside it were her equipment slots, currently only 'Upper Body', 'Lower Body, 'Upper Underwear', 'Lower Underwear', and 'Feet Underwear' was filled.
She suddenly decided to unequip her panties from her equipment window, unsurprisingly she now held her underwear in her hand and felt breezy down below, she kind of felt ashamed right know, but she put her pride aside for now and...
...put her panties inside of her inventory, she know selected her panties and an equip option appeared, she selected it and equipped her panties, she then walked to her favorite shirt, put it in her inventory and pressed equip, she know wore her shirt, but her school uniform was in the inventory.
"Huh, this is useful for speed dressing, isn't it?"
Akane played around with her menu for a while, until she fell asleep.

Akane woke up the next day and started her morning routine, lately she decided to not clean the house each day, it costed time, time she needed for her morning workout. Thanks to it her body wasn't weak anymore, but she couldn't let up, so she continued to train to stay as healthy as she currently was.
After finishing her workout she showered, made breakfast for herself and then speed equipped her uniform by using her menu, she then bolted out of her house and sprinted to her school, she wanted to arrive first in her classroom, so she could hide somewhere, until the classes started, she would give people the opportunity to talk to her if she arrived on time.
The class started and Akane magically appeared on her chair, after the clock rang, surprising everyone that thought that she would come late. She won't. She will never come late, she wanted to be perfect after all.
The lesson was nothing special again, Akane sat there again and thought about other things, she thought how she should approach people, try to interact with someone, or how to make other people not uncomfortable in her presence. Akane yawned, she was bored again.
"Ms. Seigi, if you find my lesson so boring, why not solve the question on the blackboard?"
And here was that again, Akane lied a bit yesterday to her homeroom teacher, Akane was perfectly fine reading the chalk on the blackboard, if she concentrated, she could hear the little height difference between the chalk lines and the blackboard. She stood up, walked to the blackboard and then looked at her teacher, he was confused about the action.
"Sensei, I can't see, didn't this information already make its round through the teachers room, now if I could please ask, can you tell me what's going on the blackboard, and after the lesson please tell each teacher that has me, that they should read me the problems if they want me to solve it."
The guy just scoffed.
"Why should I do that, doesn't that prove that you didn't..."
"Before you continue your words, do you want me to erase your complicated problem to write your desired answer, because I can. You see, I listened to everything, but do you expect me to know the location of the words, where everything stands? Do you expect me to not write over what you have written? Should I make the problem on the blackboard a problem of deciphering what you and I wrote in it?"
"You just could have listened to the sound of the blackboard and me writing, know quit stalling for time and write, and if you write over the problem you are going the get a bad mark for this."
Huh, this teacher really wanted to make things difficult for her, she put the chalk down and walked to the door, opening it, preparing to leave the room.
"Where do you think you are going, Ms. Seigi?"
"To the director, going to complain how a teacher makes things difficult for me, good luck finding a good lawyer, or if I think about it, don't search for one, would waste your own money if you did, we'll see each other in court."
Before the teacher could say anything Akane already walked out of the room, to the direction of the directors room, she wouldn't care if he is the same corrupt asshole as her teacher, she recorded the conversation on her phone, with that evidence her mother could sue the school if she wanted, suing it and winning of course.
The teacher realized who the girls' mother was and quickly stepped out and called after her.
"Wait, we don't have to solve this problem through the legal system, look if I tell you what stands on the blackboard, are you going to forget this incidence."
Akane turned around to him and glared at him murderously, scaring him a bit and making him take a step back.
"Only this once."

Akane prepared to stand up and walk to her home, she sighed, another day where she didn't make any friends, then suddenly a girl approached her, Akane didn't back away, Akane could feel that the person didn't have any tainted intents. Well the person seemed like an airhead to her, but Akane didn't have strong opinions of them.
"You are Seigi Akane, right?"
Akane nodded.
"Are you in any clubs yet, if not how about visiting ours! Aki promises it will be fun, there are three other members besides Aki, so could you please come over for a minute? Of course, you won't have to join if you don't want to, but Aki swears we are not suspicious in the least."
Akane chuckled, standing up from her seat, before going to the door, the girl thought that her offer just now got rejected.
"What are you waiting for? Lead the way, I don't know where your clubroom is, or do you expect me to search for it?"
"Nonononono! Aki will lead the way, follow Aki!"
The girl grabbed Akanes' hand and lead her to her clubroom, where they arrived just in a moment. One inside Akane could see the three other girls the girl talked about. As the, she guessed, club president wanted to make a pompous introduction Akane interrupted her.
"Say it in 20 words or I am leaving again."
The girl jolted up, before she followed Akanes' instruction.
"Yes! I am Suzuki Yuiko the club president of the quirk mystery club, we wanted to invite you to it."
Exactly 20 words, Akane was impressed.
"Why should I join?"
Yuiko was nervous at her words, the girl was famous, could she really convince her to join, but then said girl just bursted out in laughter.
"Why is the club president so tense? What was the name of the club again quirk mystery? What are you even doing? I don't understand."
"Well..."
The club president shyly started to introduce her club.
"...we search for paranormal activities and try to explain them through the power of quirks and how they could affect the environment in such a way, afterwards we start an investigation on that, searching for clues and evidence to prove out theory."
The room was silent.
"Look, I know it might be silly, but this is my passion! Don't you think it's interesting finding out the reasons behind incidents, you know, it might be...
"I've heard enough."
The room was silent again.
"I'll join, what is the order of the day?"
Silence, then loud exclamations.
""""EEEEHHHHH!""""
"You really are joining this club?"
"It's been so long since we got a new member."
"Welcome to the club!"
"Yay!"
"Woah, woah, get down from me, how about we first introduce yourself, I can't do anything if I don't know who you are."
After a while the mood in the room calmed down again and everyone sat down at the table.
"Well, that happened, well it's time to introduce ourselves, who wants to start?"
"Oh! Oh! Aki, Aki wants to introduce herself! I am Kobayashi Akita, Aki is a second-year student at Gakkou Academy, Akis' hobbies involve eating and sleeping and Akis' quirk is named Shiba Inu, a mutation type quirk, Akis' friends call Aki, Aki, so please don't be shy and call Aki that way too, pleased to make your acquaintance!"
Akita apparently was the cheery, airheaded type, she seemed a bit like an excited and happy dog and she is probably affected by her quirk on a personality level.
"Well, then I guess I am next, I am Kanade Kanna, the nickname my friends gave me is KanKan, as Aki I am a second year student at this school, my hobbies include reading and eating sweets, ah but I am quite easily scared, the only reason I joined the club is because I have been childhood friends with Yui! My quirk is an emitter type quirk, it's nothing special, I can create a faint glow with it, comparable to the lowest brightness a phone can emit."
Kanna was the elegant, too nice type, she only joined the club because her relationship with Yuiko, a light emitter quirk, wouldn't that be useful for this kind of club? Poor Kanna.
"I am Tokou, Saitou Tokou, first year student, I like Aki, my quirk is a transformation type, I can turn anything into an object of my choice as long as I have enough material, it only works for very simple objects though."
Toukou seems a bit shy, she said she liked Aki, something connects them, it looks like Toukou would do anything to protect Akita, she is a first year same as me, her quirk lets her transform things into a bat.
"Just to clarify, can you do it with living things too?"
She shook her head, glad I asked.
"Well, I guess I am the last to introduce herself, I am the club president of the quirk mystery club, Suzuki Yuiko, second year student and lover of mystery novels, that's why I created this club, to solve mysteries, my quirk is the transformation type change! I can change the position with anyone one I want! Here look!"
I didn't really feel anything.
"You know it actually would have been more impressive if you showed this ability to someone with sight."
She was embarrassed at my words.
"Sorry, I am not the type who thinks her actions through, I am a just do it kind of gal. But you didn't introduce yourself, it's your turn."
"Well, I am Seigi Akane, famous music prodigy, basically retired from the scene two months ago, first year at Gakkou, likes are music, sweets, learning new thigs and doing sport. I newly transferred here this year and my quirk? I don't have one."
The room was silent for the third time already, before all girls looked at her surprised.
"EEEHHHH! You don't have a quirk?"
"I thought someone like you would definitely have one!"
"Is that really true?"
"Can't you move perfectly? How do you do that without a quirk?"
Akane sighed, several loud exclamations, and an explanation of echolocation later the room calmed down again.
"That is so awesome! Despite this big of a handicap you never gave up, I seriously can respect that! I don't want to seem rude, but can I get a blood, saliva and hair sample of you, we have a DNA tester here and I want to see if you really have no quirk factor!"
"Just take it, but how do you have a DNA tester, aren't these things expensive?"
The girl smiled.
"My parents owns a company that produces electronic devices."
Akane nodded, and so the day passed, with conversation between the five of them and several more surprised exclamations.

After school closure:
The girls had a mysterious place to check out, it was near town and so they decided to walk there, to the pain of Akane.
"Goddammit! Why do I have to carry ALL of you?"

Akane facepalmed, Akane was strong, there was no mistake about that, but still carrying four girls, one in a princess carry and three in a piggy back was still difficult! She had to carry approximately 210 kilograms of total weight! And 150 of it was on her back. But she didn't want to give up, she was determined like that.
"At least you four are all cute and soft girls, if not I would have thrown you all off!"
"Oh my, Akane could it be! You swing that way!"
Akane shook her head.
"I don't really know yet, but what I meant is that you are at least not hard and angular objects, it would be uncomfortable to carry that kind of thing."
All the girls nodded, carrying soft objects would definitely be better.
"Akane I am bored, can't you carry us faster."
Akane stopped walking.
"Akane?"
"Akane, I am sorry if I offended you! You are right, we are working you too hard, but please don't throw us off!"
"Hold tightly."

On that day four screams of girls could be heard on the edge of the city, creating the famous rumor of the mourning women.
