Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Moving
On the way to her apartment, Jiang Xi was a bit curious of her youthful driver and asked him how old he is.
The cheeky guy asked back, "How old do you think I am?"
"Hm… 19?" Jiang Xi guessed. At first, she wanted to go with 16, but thought that was too young for Li Chen to trust him.
"19? Alright, I'll go with that. From now on, I'm 19 years old!" Yu Jing declared.
"What's that's supposed to mean? I asked for your age, not for you to let me tell it to you."
"Mrs. Jiang Xi, trust me, if I tell you my real age, you'll be shocked."
"Try me."
"… Have you heard of Jade Moon?"
Jade Moon, the mysterious immortal sect that opens its doors only once in a hundred years. Anyone able to enter have a high change of not only obtaining immortality, but also to ascend or even reach nirvana, cutting off the boundaries of karma and reincarnation.

"… You're joking, right?" Jiang Xi felt that it was unreal.
"You're right," he agreed with a serious face.
Jiang Xi let out a relieved sigh, ignoring the playfulness in his tone. "Right, there's no way anyone from Jade Moon would come to the mortal realm and become a driver to an… ordinary magician. Is Li Chen a magician?"
"You two are married and you don't even know?" Yu Jing sounded shocked.
"We've only met last night," Jiang Xi retorted in embarrassment.
"Wow. Then you ask him what he is."
"Can't you tell me?"
"Well, if you say he's a magician, then he's a magician," Yu Jing lazily answered.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Li Chen grew up in the west, so he did indeed study and learned western magic."
"Oh, so he's a western magician. I've never met a western magician before."
"Jiang Xi, let me tell you, knowledge of the west is no different from the east. Everything originates from the same place and everyone has the same basic idea. They think that only those born with powers can cultivate or master magic."
Jiang Xi is confused. "Isn't that the case?"
"Of course not!" Yu Jing strongly denied. "As long as there's a will, there's a way. It's just that, because of fear, many subconsciously suppressed their powers and the later generation forgot them or completely sealed them off. But I suppose it's a good thing."
The car pulled into the driveway of Jiang Xi's rundown apartment and the conversation ended as both made their way to Jiang Xi's room to pack.
Jiang Xi's apartment, unlike Yu Xiang's condo, is very small, only having a small kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The reason why she lived in this run-down apartment instead of a condo was because Yu Xiang refused to let her move in with him, saying that it'll be bad if she was caught by the paparazzi. He also told her not to find him too many times using this excuse as well, telling her to call him and he'll come find her instead. However, he never answered her calls, call her back, or even bothered with her texts, his excuse being that he was busy writing lyrics and practicing, so he forgot. But even so, he never forgot to update weibo or bring women back to sleep. Thinking about it made Jiang Xi want to throw something.
Having thought that, she looked directly at the life-sized cardboard picture of Yu Xiang and looked around at all the posters of Yu Xiang and his CDs, and she snapped.
"Yu Jing!" she shouted.
"What?" Yu Jing was started and cautiously looked at her.
"Help me pack all these trashes and throw them out. I don't ever want to see anything related to Yu Zhang ever again!"
"Yu Zhang?" Yu Jing tilted his head a bit in confusion. "Isn't this idol named Yu Xiang?"
"Little brother, let elder sister tell you a secret, before he was Soaring Jade, he was Fish Archer!"
Yu Jing burst out laughing and held his stomach. "What kind of parents would name their child Fish Archer? Hahaha."
"The good ones. Let me tell you, that guy is actually from a line of bears and his parents named him Yu Zhang becuase they wanted him to be as swift, accurate, and skilled in hunting down his pray as an archer, but that stupid boy hated the name and rebelled. Ah, I shouldn't have listened to him. I'm so angry thinking about the past. I want to hit him so much; I want to rub it in his face!"
"Then live better than him," Yu Jing suggested, helping her clean up. "Become dazzling and make it impossible for him to reach you. Only then can you make him feel the ultimate regret for throwing you away."
"But I can't become a singer, my singing voice is terrible." Jiang Xi shivered just thinking about how terrified everyone was of her singing.
At the beginning, she wanted to sing along with Xu Yu Zhang, but then found that her voice was terrible, so she gave up and started learning to play various Chinese instruments instead.
Although she hated the lessons, for Yu Zhang she preserved until she finally mastered the dizi, the erhu, the pipa, and the guzheng. Seeing her talents in the arts, Mother Yu also taught Jiang Xi dances. Due to this, she became the top entertainer at their hot spring resort. But none of these instruments or dances were ones that Yu Zhang liked or wanted in his music.
"Then become an actor. Your husband's one any, learn from him," said Yu Jing.
"That's not a bad idea."
The two finished cleaning the apartment and packed Jiang Xi's belongings, which wasn't a lot and can easily be carried away by two people.
After that, the two got in the car and drove to Luna's school to pick her up.
