Well, Why Not? (GL)

I love this book so much! It has heartbreak, love, and mystery! What I want to know is what happened to Shay?! And what happened at the family dinner!? I strongly suggest that you read this book! If you haven't already then stop reading this review and start reading already!!!! [img=recommend]

The book opens up depicting a young girl trying to get out of her comfort zone and seek employment. Great, nothing wrong with a working girl trying to earn some dough. The MC goes through some less than desirable situations in life and struggles to pick up the pieces of her life. While also being conflicted about her sexuality after meeting her supermodel roommate. (wow, they were roommates~) One of the things that bothered me was the transitions between dialogue and action. In some chapters it plays out like this, for example: “Hey, do you want to go get coffee?” Person 1 asked. “Sure.” Person 2 responded. Now, I might just be nitpicky, but in my opinion, for chapters written like this, I had to reread a few times because I couldn’t pick up anything they were saying. This type of writing just takes me out of the story, and now I’m just flipping through pages, mindlessly. I understand that this is the author’s first book, but I believe there is a lot of potential if the author adjusts some parts to make the chapters more engaging. Okay, now for some ranty stuff that I have with just the plot alone. (mild swearing) The story starts fine until it takes a strange turn when the MC meets her new coworker, Shay. One who seems to be a bit too handsy and a total b*tch, in my opinion. But then the story takes a sudden twist when her coworker locks her in a room with her. And the proceeds to ASSAULT the MC! Excuse me? (👁👄👁) Trust me when I say this, I had to reread this book several times to grasp what I’ve read. I seriously had to put on my f*cking double seeing glasses, because I can’t even begin to see the amount of bullsh*t coming from this scene alone! Argh! And then Shay dares to say that the MC and she had a ‘thing?’ Like WTF? B*tch, no! Sigh. Shay honestly gives lesbians a bad rep. Okay, rant over. Overall, the story is good, especially for someone’s first book. At the time of writing this, the novel isn’t complete, so I can’t say how it will turn out in the end. I know I’m a bit harsh in this review, but I hope the author won’t stop writing just because of what I said in this review. Keep up the good work!

This was a good story so far, I can't wait until a new chapter comes out. At first, I thought it was over and didn't like the ending because I didn't think that that would be it with shay. I would recommend this book.
