Chapter 3: Concept of Wind
It was basically New-Game+ just with some more realism and a tad bit weirder.
However, that was for the future. Lin Feng had to deal with his unfair assessment from the Elder.
Standing on the fighting platform that was dozens of meters big, Lin Feng was surrounded by the five fellow outer disciples with equal cultivation as himself.
If he didn't have his cheat of a himself (herself?), he would have been worried to see if he could have gotten out of this battle in one piece.
With overflowing confidence, he stepped towards the five. He smiled in a calm manner.
The five disciples seeing his demeanor laughed and had no thoughts of him ever resisting. He was just putting up a front.
The beard stroking Elder looked on at the disciples on the stage. He was not really offended about Lin Feng's act earlier. He was simply curious. Lin Feng would not arrive late to the assessment with unshackled arrogance if he had nothing to show. No one could be that idiotic, especially at such an important event.
Lin Feng did not show hesitance in planning to put up a fight against the five either. This made him further interested in the boy's abilities and what made him so confident.
He was not disappointed. One of the five disciples launched the sect's standard art, the Rumbled Layer Fist.
Lin Feng in response dodged in elegance, flipping over the disciple in a somersault and landing steadily.
No wasted movements. His speed matched someone who would be a half-step into the 3rd stage.
'Perhaps this was why he was so confident,' the Elder thought.

The disciple who Lin Feng leaped over, looked behind him in disbelief.
'How? A 3rd Stage already? No. A half-step.'
However, he wasn't hopeless.
'Even so, he is only fast, not strong enough to take us all down.'
It was only what happened next when he was truly convinced that he stood no chance against this arrogant disciple. His fellow disciple also attacked with the Rumbled Layer Fist, piercing the wind, hoping to catch the fast Lin Feng by surprise but Lin Feng stood still in a relaxed posture, waiting for the fist incoming.
Right before the fist hit, Lin Feng swept his hands, directly blasting the attacking disciple dozens of meters away.
The surrounding became silent.'
He was too powerful?' thought an outer court disciple.
'Outward Qi attacks? This is only something a 9th Stage Body Transformation could have!' thought another in denial.
The beard stroking Elder saw Lin Feng's attack and determined his abilities fearfully.'
"He is a genius. A raw, powerful prodigy that will sweep across anyone in his way. To be able to use a Concept so early on in his cultivation?'
Concepts were one's understandings of the laws around them, of the laws that make the world what it is. The more one understood the more power one held over the world. Lin Feng, a mere 2nd Stage was a pure prodigy based on his comprehension alone.
"Stop the fight. There is no more reason to. Lin Feng has more than demonstrated his prowess to become an inner disciple. What his last move showed was his usage over the Concept of Wind. Something only realms above the Body Transformation can display."
The Elder immediately stopped the fight, seeing as testing a rising prodigy like Lin Feng was an insult to his power. He explained Lin Feng's abilities as a way to pacify the chaotic hearts of the other disciples.
Hearing that, the surrounding disciples couldn't help but look at Lin Feng in shock and admiration. They heard of Concepts. It was a power that most of them would never reach in their lifetimes and was only usable by realms above.
A male disciple clenched his fists in determination. 'You will be my goal!'
A female disciple looked on at Lin Feng in awe. 'So powerful! So handsome!'
How would they react when they realize Lin Feng could freely bend Time and Space to his every need?
