Chapter 21: Chapter 21 - Losses and Gains
I stared at the big bear and sigh in relief seeing it asleep. This explains why it did not come together with the two bears before. Imagining if that situation occured makes me shiver. Seeing that it is asleep, I used that time to appraise it again.

This bear has a different race compared to the four other bears. It must have had evolved into a variant bear. This can be tricky, It has high STR and VIT making it a pure power built. It was like the kobold berserker but with double stats.
"Rory, we'll do the same tactic like before. I will only focus with restraining it while you and one of my shadow attacks. I'll leave the other clone for emergencies."
Rory nodded at me while waiting for the signal to attack. I looked at the bear one last time before whispering.
"Attack."
I then used ice magic to trap the bear's limbs to disable the bear and that attack from mine made the bear awake from it's dreams. It looked mad at me for disturbing it's sleep.
"RAWR!!!"
I covered my ears from it's piercing shout. This bear has such a loud voice. It hurts my ears pretty bad. The shout of the bear made Rory stop for awhile but that was enough time for the bear to break my ice. The bear then made a sprint towards me.
I then covered the floor with ice and made a run for it to make a distance. I have a higher DEX making me able to put a distance between me and the bear. I run in circles inside the room and made ice spears with every opportunity while the bear chased me, sometimes even stumbling. Rory and my shadow clones tried to damage it but the bear having high vitality makes it hard to give a devastating damage.
"Rory this can't continue, my mana is already almost depleted we'll die if this continues."
I worriedly said while making a run for it. How I wish Akira was here but I can feel that it will take a long time before he wakes up.
"Master Ave you can leave me if you want. I can act as a decoy while you escape outside. I can afford to die anyway and revive later master Ave."
Shit! I don't want that to happen. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, leaving Rory here while I escape but the situation is going worst by every second.
"What will happen if you die? Will there be any penalty?"
Rory paused for a minute before saying:
"I will not be able to be summoned for a day if I die, master Ave."
This makes me enraged at the bear but having no choice I made my decision to escape.
"Sorry Rory but I have to do this. I'll see you the tomorrow."
Rory nodded while I run towards the cave's exit. The bear tried to follow me but Rory stood between us and summoned many fireballs making it stop.
When I was outside the cave, I made a run towards the kobold's cave leaving my shadow clones behind me. My dexterity is high making me arrive at the kobold's cave by only 30 minutes.
I feel guilty for leaving Rory in the cave with that bear. I feel so powerless right now. I can't shake the feeling of fear when I imagine the bear. I was so confident in my attributes that I forgot that I'm still weak when it comes to combat.
Put it together Ave. I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself. I need to avenge Rory's death and kill that bear without mercy. After calming down, I see my shadow clones show up while I took out one bear corpse. I was determined to level up higher to be able to kill that big bear.
I eat the bear raw and chomped on it with anger coming out of me. I was so mad that I did not notice that I already finished the whole bear.

I was happy hearing that my title leveled up. I checked the title to see the upgrades and I have this:

It increased my capacity to eat more so I brought out the last two bears and ate it immediately.

I was already level 47 and I would like to level up three more times to upgrade my ring. I wish that my ring will give me a new skill that will help me kill the bear. I took my shadow clones outside to hunt some monsters.
Once we were outside the cave, we walked towards the opposite direction from the bear's cave and searched for an hour to look for monsters. After an hour of searching, we saw some deers with three horns in it's head.
It has horns with each side of the head and a third horn on it's forehead. It has the same size of a normal deer but it has blue skin. I can see that there are five of them. I appraised the group and saw that they were all level 25.

I then summoned a dozen of ice spears at the top of there heads and immediately killed them.

We then tried to search for more monsters but we can only see some weak monsters so we left them. An hour passed but we still did not find any so I go back into the cave seeing that it was almost dark.
After we reached the cave, I took out 2 deers to eat and I ate them raw again. I missed Rory suddenly, remembering the taste of the cooked meat that he makes but I can still feel the guilt of leaving him behind. I ate the deer ferociously with the feeling of revenge towards the big bear.

Fueled by revenge, I immediately clicked 'Yes'. I was then enveloped by light. I don't now how long it lasted but I can hear my system say:

Corrupted Humanoid Cat (Child):
A cat that has attained the body of a human child. It has three tails and has the ability to destroy villages. The cat was corrupted because of a particular sin. The sin can be anything from the seven sins. Will learn a unique skill from the said sin.
I looked at myself and was surprised to see that I really do have a body of a child. A 5 year old child to be particular. I summoned an ice mirror to see my body clearly.
I have a pale skin. I have a human face except that I don't have a human ear but instead I have cat ears. My hair was color blue and I can see my ears are colored white. I can see that my eyes have different colors. My right eye retained the blue color while my left eye turned into red. I turned back and I can see that I really do have three tails but nothing change on it and it was still the same. The thing that mostly change is my genitals. I can see that I already have human genitals. Now I really need clothes to cover me.
I tried using ice magic to make clothes and this time I'm surprised to see that it does not hinder my movements anymore. So I made some short first and then a shirt covered by a long sleeve ice jacket. I also created some boots to cover my feet. I looked at my ice mirror again and nodded at my look.
I then checked my MENU to see the changes in my stats. I can see Rory's name and it was colored grey. A little more waiting and I will be able to see Rory again. I continued checking my stats and I was happy to see the changes.

I wanted try using Consume so I brought out one deer. I then used it and was startled to see a mouth coming out from my hand. A tongue came out of it and went towards the deer. When the tongue came in contact with the deer it started to shrink in size until nothing was left on the deer. The tongue then go back into the mouth and the mouth was gone from my hand as if it was not there in the first place.
THE HELL IS THIS CREEPY SKILL!?
