Oh, I was angry. It wasn't Knight's fault but I was angry.
"It happened in my hotel," his voice was like steel—determined. "I'm promising you we'll clear the misunderstanding. Do you trust me?"
"Of course," It escaped my lips without a second thought. "Of course, I do. Please be quick. Please."
He stepped closer, "Hey," he whispered, "Look at me."
I did as asked, though my vision was blurred with tears. Honestly, the rage was eating me inside and it all came out in the form of crying.
