Chapter 55: His House (3)

He laughed. As soon as he saw me, the stupid man let out a roar of laughter, his eyes crinkling at the corners. It was such a different combination from his previous mood when he'd come to pick me.

"Stop," I groaned, shielding my face with my hands.

The bottoms were truly ridiculous. They were only slightly loose around the waist but the material was gathered up at my calves since it was so long. A faded print of spider-man greeted me every time I looked down. Not something every girl dreams of. Especially not this girl here.

I straightened when a friendly-looking older woman came over to the table we sat at. The view outside was just wonderful; an enormous pool with an equally gorgeous waterfall. It was truly a delight for one's eyes.
