Eona: Hi! I'm Eona!
As she came close to me my mind shut down. Maybe I had a concussion from the earlier fall. It didn't help that I got a whiff of a sweet fragrance.
Aster: I uh...Hi Aster, I'm Eona...No wait!
She let out a small chuckle.
Eona: Wow we got the same name. What are the odds?
As I calmed down, my mind rebooted. Seeing her still looking at me I spoke again.
Aster: Ahem! Let's try this again, my name is Aster.
"This woman seems dangerous. I know I'm a bit bad with women but not that much. She must have done something to me."
I started to put my guard up just in case.
Aster: I take it that you've been here from the start?
I said somewhat accusingly.
Eona: Yes, it was cute watching you do all that while being giddy as a child.
She let out another small chuckle. Good thing I have a helmet on cause my face is probably red as a tomato.
"Aaaaa! I want to bury my head somewhere! So embarrassing!"
I went to a column to lean on and crossed my arms acting like nothing happened while hoping she forgets.
Aster: I'm sorry that you got to see that. I have some reasons.
Eona: I guess you're new here? I don't think I've seen you around. And I'm certain I wouldn't forget an interesting quirk like that. So here's my bright conclusion. Since you're not a UA student then you came here to join. Am I right?
She actually seems surprised that she doesn't know me or my quirk and her face seems to brighten as she deduced my identity.
"How did she get it right? This woman is scary!"
I was scared. I've just arrived to this world and I haven't even tested my powers yet and I met a person like her? But, even though I was scared, I act like nothing is wrong while keeping my senses to the max so I can be prepared for anything.
Aster: Very impressive Eona, very impressive indeed. Would you like to hear my deduction?
I could barely keep my voice from trembling.
Eona: Ho? Please do tell.
She seems genuinely interested.
Now let's see if I can match her Moriarty with my Sherlock.
Aster: First of all, the fact that you were really surprised that you don't know me or my quirk means that you've in a position that has access to such information otherwise you would probably just be a little interested. So taking this to account I can probably narrow down your potential identity.
I saw her smile when I said that. that got me even more worried so I stopped leaning and stood straight, legs ready to dodge anything.
Aster: People with such knowledge are 1) part of the government but you seem too young for that, 2) Reporters but even they have their limits and you don't seem like the Lois Lane type to me, 3) UA Teachers but if you were a teacher I would know and you could know for certainty if I was a student or not and finally and most likely...
At that point I jumped back to widen the distance.
Aster: 4) You're a villain that's out looking for talents to either recruit them or eliminate them. If you're not any of these, especially the fourth then forgive me but you can't be too certain.
I said with a grave tone. She seem to frown at my deduction and her eyes were hidden by her hair's shadow. Did I get it right? Is she going to attack me?
"Ordis can you hear me? Do I have any weapons? Or even my Exalted Blade?"
I tried speaking to Ordis in my mind so that I wouldn't be that obvious.
Ordis: Sadly operator you can't use any. As I said, even Excalibur's use is limited right now.
As I begun to feel desperate I heard her...
Eona: Hahahahahahahahaha
...laughing.
She actually doubled down from laughter and I lost it for the second time today. The laughter didn't seem maniacal or the kind of "you amuse me so I will kill you last". It seemed like a sincere, honest to god, girlish laughter. And it was quite cute too.
Aster: I uh...did I say something wrong?
I was honestly baffled by her response.
Eona: Hahaha..gi-give me...a...minute..hahaha
She managed to say between her laughter.
"Ok now this much laughter is uncalled for."
I thought, while feeling like an idiot.
"But she's cute. And amazingly beautiful. Got to stay away from her from now on. She's too beautiful for my own good."
Eona: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, it's just that the way you talked, the certainty of it and your body language didn't match. Not to mention that I didn't even have to see your face to figure out what you thought.
Aster: So I take it that you're not a villain?
Eona: No silly!
She said and chuckled while she walked towards me.
I put up a hand.
Aster: Stop! Don't come any closer. You seem like a nice girl but don't you think it's stupid to take your word for it? I mean...meeting a stranger that's interested in you while being in a deserted place during the night seems kinda fishy, don't you think.
She stopped and looked and me accusingly for a second but then she relented.
Eona: I don't want to admit it but you're right. So...are we going to keep staring each other all night?
Aster: I'm leaving, you can do whatever.
I said while walking towards the exit while paying attention to her. When I got out, I heard Eona shout.
Eona: Hey Aster! If you want to talk again you can come back here. Same time!
I stopped and lingered.
"There's no way I'm doing that. At least not before I get used to Excalibur"
I walked away without even replying. I went to a food stand to eat dinner and went home since it's already dark. I didn't forget to go through different roads so that I wouldn't be followed to the point of almost getting lost myself in this unfamiliar city.
