Chapter 1: Chapter 1:Reincarnation
Gem was at a concert with his close friends Arya and coincidently, another one of his friend who also the same name as him Gem. Gem (Protagonist not friend) hates concerts. He was an introvert virgin otaku who reads novels all day and watched anime for his hobby. Though since Arya had two tickets, she thought she might as well not waste it and invited Gem and Gem to come.
As Gem Arya and Gem were at the concert, there was an explosion that killed him and Gem(The friend) due to a bomb planted by terrorists.
In this tragic incident one hundred and two casualties of people and children lost their lives, not counting the terrorists and Arya.
「Ah, seeing that the loud music and flashlights on the phone disappeared, I guess I've died.」
Gem felt a deep numbness as he realized his own death.
He was in a in a strange place, was in a all black place. He didn't what kind of place he was in. One minute there was an explosion, next minute he here in a vague place he didn't know what to think.
Gem wanted to cry out he didn't want to die, that he wanted to keep living, but he couldn't muster the energy to do so.
「Haha… In the end, I died in vain, huh.」(Gem)
The reason he said that was because before there was an explosion happened in the concert Arya got an urgent call from her Dad. She said that her mom was in a terrible condition in the hospital. She told Gem and Gem(The friend) why she had to leave so Gem and Gem said it's all right and only them two stayed behind to watch the rest of the concert.
But what Arya didn't know was that Gem stayed up all night for this day. The reason was because he decided that today would be the day he finally confessed to Arya. Arya was Gem's(Protagonist) childhood friend, so it was obvious he would develop feelings for Arya the more they got older.
Although Arya never considered Gem in that way because she's dense as fuck like most harem/rom com protagonists .
Sorry for getting sidetracked let me get back to Narrating.
It had happened in an instant; it was not something that he had thought about and decided on doing. Believing about it now, it seemed like a reckless thing to do. Even so, if she had been saved by his actions, he would at least have been able to console himself, but…
「Well at least Arya is safe and whoever she marries in the future is one lucky shit.」*Gem thought to himself*
Even if Gem died, nobody would mourn for him, anyway. He had lost his parents when he was young and he had no blood-related siblings. He had a poor relationship with his uncle's family on his father's side, who had adopted him. He had even been told,「get out after you graduate high school.」He didn't have any friends or a girlfriend. His uncle would be receiving the remainders of Gem inheritance from his parents and condolence money* for this incident, so he could consider the favor of adopting him as having been repaid. In fact, it was more than enough repayment considering his uncle's abuse… The clear discrimination from his own biological children, the way Gem had been treated until now.
His dreams of the future had only consisted of something vague like「become happy.」It would be fine if that dream would be granted in heaven. At the very least, his uncle and that family wouldn't be here. He didn't care about earthly desires such as money,fame,social media follwings or anything else. He would spend money on no one but himself. Some could say Gem was a hedonist in some ways.
However, reality was irrational and not so lenient.
「You soul who have lost your life once already, you have been chosen. I will now grant you special power, a new destiny and a recent fortune. This is because I knew you were supposed to confess to your crush today...I accidently killed you and bought up an unfortunate event to occur with the terrorists. Using my powers, I will wish for you to live a fresh life in a world separate from the『Earth』you lived on. From here on fourth Gem(The friend) you shall be born anew!」(God)
Wait what?!. Gem was confused because when he was in the special room with god. God was not even talking to him.
Gem looked up at the ground and what did he see...Gem(His friend)
Gem knowing this called out to God saying
"Hey god erm wrong person. The other Gem was supposed to be me who got didn't confess to my crush and was supposed to be reincarnated!"
Gem was too late as white beams of light appeared coming up from the ground surrounded his friend and was transported to another world.
God: Wait your the Gem that didn't get to confess to his crush?! I transferred the wrong person, oh no!. I was supposed to send your friend Gem to heaven and was supposed to send YOU Gem to be reincarnated for my mistake of not letting you confess to your crush. I confused the two of you. DAMN why the fuck do you have same names! *God said as he did a facepalm*
Gem smiled worriedly at god with tears rolling down his eyes.
Such an annoyance I died the exact day I was going to confess to Arya. If I was to reincarnate I swear I would go through on all my fantasies...wait reincarnation? I died by the hands of God accidently so shouldn't he give me compensation. *Gem thought as he put his hand on his chin, looking down at his feet*
I used to read a lot of web novels before I died and a majority of them were isekai. Since this is all gods fault shouldn't I ask him if I could be iseka'ed in another world as a payment.
*Gem looked up at the god in front of him*
Gem: "Hey God, since were in this predicament because of you.. As a repayment can I be reinca-"
God: Stop right there, I know what you're about to say young one. *God said as he pointed at Gem*
Gem: Wait what!? how did you figure out what I was about to say.*Gem said shocked with his hands on his head*
God: What do you mean I'm God. Fool ha haha.
Gem: da..damn I forgot I was in going off on a tangent a bit much for a minute *Gem said as he looked to the left embarrassed*
God: Don't worry, young one. I will reincarnate you like did to your other friend Gem though due to oversaturation of reincarnated individual. I will have to give a special dice that will determine what sort of power and world you will be in. You will get one dice roll for the world you will reincarnate in and another roll for what sort of power you will have. I know you like anime so the world and powers will be anime oriented.
Gem: Okay.
Gem agreed to God's commands because who was he to defy him. Also, he will get to reincarnated, so how could he complain.
God used his powers to make a board appear out of thin air. He gave the dice and told me go on.
Gem: hmm...
Gem was happy to reincarnated...but what if the dice rolls on a number that will reincarnate me in a world like attack on titan. Only to have the power of some weak protagonist. Gem didn't even want to think about those horrible circumstances.
As he shaked his head, he regained focus and rolled the dice.
*Please please, please give me something good. Gem thought to himself.*
*The Dice landed on 4 the first time. The second time the Dice landed on 7.
God nodded at Gem. And said...
God: Oh aren't you the lucky one you will be reincarnated in My Hero Academia world with the powers as your faviroute character. Dio Brando.
