Chapter 207: Torture and Interrogation of the most Despicable Scum

"Big Sis, you're a bit late, aren't you?" Wei asks.

"Yeah, I was out for a bit and got into a fight with a couple of chickens again when they crossed my path, but they were just normal chickens this time," Yue says.

Wei looks as if he wants to say something, but before he can, Shuren says, "I have no idea what you're talking about but we should get started rather than dwell on Bis Sis fighting with some chickens."

"But I have so many questions to ask about that," Wei says.

"Forget about the chickens, let me do the torture, I'm good at that," I say.

"Ok with me. Aurelia, can you stick around to make sure whatever he says is true?" Yue asks.

"Sure, but I would suggest most people leave the room especially if you've eaten recently since it looks like Cordelia wants to vent her frustrations, so I don't expect this to be pretty," Aurelia says.

"Why is she upset?" Yue asks.

"Because those three guards sold this guy out and made it look like they were trying to stop us when in reality they were just taking it easy and wanted to maintain the facade of professionalism. Cordelia's upset since she didn't really get to fight. But if what they thought about this guy is the real deal, then he truly deserves death," Aurelia says.

Upon hearing that his hired hands betrayed him as they did, the tied up fool starts making some noise as he attempts to thrash around, but there isn't much he can do with his legs and arms tied down to the chair.

"Well then, let's find out what he's hiding. Anyone who isn't ready to see some their dinner again should probably leave for now," Yue says, causing a few people to leave the room, leaving only Yue, Wei, Shuren, Lia, Aurelia, Wanjing, and myself.

"Let's get that gag out of the way and see what he has to say first," Wei says as he goes to remove the gag that's preventing the old man from speaking.

"Finally, just who do you think you are! Nothing but a bunch of peasants and you dare to kidnap an illustrious member of the Hong family! I won't tell you anything, you criminal scum!"

Yue simply signals with her head without saying anything for me to shut him up, with force of course. First I cover my fist in corrosive acid then give him a good few punches to the chest, but he's a hardy old man as he begins to berate us again as soon as he catches his breath. Without wasting any time, I cover my hands in more corrosive acid and begin giving a nice head massage, making absolutely sure to destroy all the old man's hair follicles, causing some tears to form around his eyes that Aurelia confirms isn't from the pain but the loss of his hair.

"Willing to talk yet, old man?" Yue asks.

"J-just what do you want?"

"Everything in regards to all your misdeeds."

"So what, I've accepted bribes from a few people, big deal, not like others don't," Hong Cheng says.

"Oh, but what about this little slave trade I hear you've gotten involved in?" Yue asks.

Hearing this, Hong Cheng's changes slightly, but in the end, he says, "false, I don't know anything about that. I've answered your questions, now let me go or face the consequences!"

"He's lying, even if pass the change in his expression as surprise of hearing the accusation, he can't hide the truth from my eyes," Aurelia says.

"You seem to be misunderstanding something, Old Cheng. You were never going to leave here alive, this is just a matter of giving you a swift and painless execution or death from torture. Cordelia, your up," she says, signalling me to begin once more.

Without giving him a chance to protest, I spit out my corrosive acid towards the most precious place for a man, causing him to cry out in pain. But that's not all as I inject my venom into his leg, letting him taste the pain before finally amputating it so it doesn't spread. After dishing out a few more injuries and then using magic to heal them before repeating the process, I finally give the old man a moment of respite.

"I-I'll talk, just p-please, end it quick," Hong Cheng says, completely winded and exhausted.

"Gruesome and not very pleasant, but I have to admit, very effective. Usually takes me a lot longer to get to this point when I usually do the whole torture and interrogation thing. Let's hear it old man."

Hearing the old bird talk, we're all left absolutely disgusted as we hear about everything he was doing. If anything the man had the whole gender equality thing going for him, but it certainly wasn't put to good use. Picking up young strays on the streets and orphaned children, grooming them as obedient slaves for the highest bidder. Not to mention his personal hobby of forcing himself on some of the children, both boys and girls, the true definition of a paedophile. I've met some truly irredeemable people in my life, hell, I'm not exactly a good person myself, but this guy takes first place as one of the worst and most sick people I've ever met. Needless to say, we chose not to give him an easy death as I made a large tub with Lia help and filled it up with my corrosive acid then we slowly lowered him in feet, or rather, foot first, as we then healed him to prevent him from dying quickly before got to his heart and just dumped him in.

"That wasn't exactly a humane way to end someone, but in this case, I believe this scum deserved every moment he got. Let's get some rest, I'm pretty sure we all need a break after going through this ordeal so let's take a day off tomorrow," Yue says as we al leave the room.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
Akkre_Kojuuin Akkre_Kojuuin

A bit of a dark chapter covering some sensitive topics. I did what I could to make Hong Cheng as unlikable as I possibly can, and while I probably could have added a few more things, what I already put in was pretty fucking bad as it was.

On a lighter note, I'm working on a little side project that I expect to release in the upcoming month or at the latest early March. It's something I've been putting together in bits of my spare time so its progress is much slower than this story.

Over the past few months, I've been reading some fanfiction and decided to try my hand at that and the background for this new project is in the DxD world. Female protagonist, no harem, and there will be yuri, although romance isn't the particular focus of the story, it's more important in this new project than in Cordelia's story. The point of the story could have been written using an original work of my own, but I flipped a coin when choosing what to do between original and fanfic and got fanfic, I then used an online spine wheel and put a bunch of different names down and got DxD (I may or may not have rigged it by adding DxD multiple times because of certain characters I like).

As for the purpose of the story, it's supposed to be how an inhuman and mostly emotionless person comes to truly understand human emotion. Oh, and the protagonist will be ridiculously overpowered from the start, having powers from Lord of the Mysteries, particularly from the namesake of the webnovel.

This was quite long, but as always, have a nice day everyone.
