Chapter 13: Answers with a Demon

Upon seeing his Queen and Goddess, Lucell immediately kneels. "Is there something I can assist you with, my Queen and Goddess?" Lucell asked. As he waited for their response, they both just walked past him and approached Mia.

Morain placed her hand on Mia's shoulder and smiled at her. "Did you enjoy your first day of school?" The Queen asked. "I wanted to make sure you were doing ok with your new life."

"And I just wanted to see my Sir Knight!" Vanessa chimed in.

"My first day was great!" Mia answered. "Everyone was very nice!"

"Really? Jasper wasn't a dick to you, was he?" Morain asked. "Because I will punish him if he gives you a hard time."

"No, he was nice, well Sabrina yelled at him for calling me the human, but other than that we got along great." Mia answered.

"Jasper has never really like humans." Morain sighed. "The Goddess found him in the woods after a hero attack sleeping."

"Oh, I remember that!" Vanessa replied. "He was sleeping all over the place, but I put him back together and woke him up! He was such a sleepy head." Vanessa smiled, remembering that day.

"Right, so he hasn't cared too much for human's especially heroes, since that day." Morain continued. "After that, no matter how hard he tried he could not transform into his battle form, so we have him teaching the school now. The human issue has never really been a problem until now since no humans live here."

"Oh, I didn't know!" Mia said. "That's so tragic!"

"Oh, don't worry yourself too much about it!" Morain explained, "that was over a hundred years ago." Morain now looked back at Lucell and then back to Mia. "You sure you want to stay here with him? I saw how you slept last night."

"I want her to stay with Lucy!" Vanessa demanded. "I want to see the babies!" she whined. This of course caused Mia to blush and Lucell to blush as well.

"I don't think Sir Knight is quite ready for that, my Goddess." Morain told Vanessa, while looking at a terrified Mia.

"Oh well, maybe they will make me some babies soon!" Vanessa sighed. "See you later Moory!" As Vanessa walked past the still kneeling Lucell, she bent down and to look at him face to face. "What you doing Lucy?" She asked.

"I am awaiting your command my Goddess." Lucell answered. "What is it you would have me do?"

Vanessa thought about it for a moment, and finally answered. "Oh, just keep taking care of Sir Knight for me!" With that she smiled at Lucell and left the room.

"Lucy if you are quite done kneeling you can join us over here." Morain instructed. With that Lucell got up and joined Mia and Morain. "I'm just going to say it, please don't impregnate Miss Mia, Lucy. I know that's what the Goddess wants, but it would spoil all of our plans."

"I would never violate Miss Mia in such a manner!" Lucell defended himself. "I only act as her guardian and caretaker, I would never take advantage of my position."

"And I don't want to be pregnant either!" Mia shouted. "I have no desire, to you know, do that!"

Morain began to laugh. "That's good! Just wanted to remind you we have a lot of plans for Miss Mia." Morain finally calms herself and stops laughing. "Oh, you two have a good night." With that Morain left and left Mia alone with Lucell.

"I am sorry about that Miss Mia." Lucell said. "They are just merely concerned for you; worry not I would never harm you."

"I know you wouldn't Lucy!" Mia teased.

"Please don't let yourself become corrupted by the demonesses." Lucell sighed. "Let's head to bed, you have your second day of school tomorrow and you need your rest."

"Ok Lucy!" Mia smiled. "I really do hate you sleeping on the floor though. Why don't we just share the bed? It was fine last night."

"If it prevents another argument, I shall agree." Lucell complained. "But please try to stay on your side of the bed." Lucell then noticed that Mia's clothes were still dirty, having not been cleaned since she got them. He went through his drawers and found an old shirt of his. "Here." He said as he threw it at her. "Sleep in this, I need to wash your clothes."

Without hesitation Mia started removing her clothing. "Ok" she said as she stripped.

"Wait until I leave the room!" Lucell shouted.

"Why?" Mia asked. "You've seen me naked a lot of times." She continued to undress. "I don't see what the big deal is."

"It's just very unladylike to change clothing in front of a man!" Lucell insisted.

"Oh, I'm sorry, still new to this whole lady thing." Mia said as she has finished changing now. "All done now anyways, come to bed."

With that Mia and Lucell went to sleep. Although they started the night at opposing sides of the bed Mia kept inching closer and closer to Lucell. Until finally she was cuddled up next to him gripping him tightly with her leg over him. "Such nice muscles." She whispered in her sleep.

The next morning Lucell had awoken first to find Mia latched on to his chest, drooling. "I told her to stay on her side." He sighed. "Guess I should get up and wash Miss Mia's clothes and make her some breakfast." He then tried to peel her off him, but she had a vice grip and only tightened her grip with every attempt to push her away. "I didn't want to have to do this." He sighed again as he began to tickle Mia. With that she immediately let go and Lucell was free. "Finally." He rejoiced.

A few hours passed before Mia woke up to an empty bed. Her clothes freshly cleaned folded next to her. The smell of bacon was also in the air. "That Lucy." She smiled. "I wonder why he takes such good care of me?" She wondered to herself. With that thought she got dressed and made her way into the dining area. "Good morning Lucy!" Mia yawned.

"Good morning Miss Mia." Lucell responded. "Please enjoy your breakfast, I have prepared bacon with various fruits and grains."

"Thanks!" Mia was thrilled. "You take such good care of me Lucy!"

"I am pleased that you are pleased, Miss Mia." Lucell answered.

With a mouth full of delicious food Mia had a question she just had to ask. "Why though?" She continued to eat waiting for his response.

"Because the Goddess commanded it." Lucell answered.

"Has to be more to it than that!" Mia shouted. "You go above and beyond for me; it has to be more than just a simple command from the Goddess!"

"I do whatever the Goddess wills." Lucell responded.

"That's not true!" Mia snapped back. "The Goddess wants me pregnant, remember?! You are not trying to make that happen. I am super happy about that! But still, it proves that it has more to do than just a command!"

Mia's argument was sound and Lucell was unable to hide the truth any longer. "Because I failed the Goddess, and this is my way to make amends." He answered. "The twenty-one heroes before you all died by my hands. This time my Queen forbade me from fighting, and because of that the Goddess was attacked. I vowed that whatever her next command was I would go above and beyond, to make her truly proud. Her next command to me was to take care of you. I also hoped to get to understand you, I hoped to understand why my Queen held me back." Lucell paused allowing everything he had told Mia to sink in. She had stopped eating and was listening intently. "I think I understand the reason now. You are not like other humans I have met. You have no malice in your heart, even being changed into a woman did not cause you to hate. You are the first human I have ever seen with a genuinely good heart and love for the Goddess. So that is my reason, both to honor the Goddess and because I wish you to be happy."

"Awe Lucy!" Sabrina was listening the whole time and could not contain herself after hearing all that. "You really are a big softy, aren't you?" Sabrina teased.

"Miss Sabrina, I did not sense your presence." Lucell stuttered out. "How long have you been here?"

"Oh, did shot stack dull your senses?" Sabrina teased some more. "I have been here for a while, nice breakfast by the way." Sabrina had already made her way to the table and started eating with Mia.

"That food is for Miss Mia!" Lucell shouted.

"It's fine Lucy!" Sabrina responded. "She is only one person and there is way too much food for just one person." Sabrina continued to eat.

"Well if it is ok with Miss Mia." Lucell answered.

"It's fine." Mia said. "I don't mind sharing."

After the meal Sabrina left with Mia to take her to class. They arrived just as class was about to start. "Hey Jaspy!" Sabrina teased her brother. "Teach short stack lots today ok?" She smiled as she left Mia in the classroom.

"Miss Mia, please take your seat, today's lesson will be about magic." Jasper said in his monotone voice.
