Chapter 125: Chapter 6 Meeting Before The Massacre Part 1
"It's the tail of a girl and her pet dragon"
"The girl was the daughter of a human and a dragon and she was raised as the dragon princess"
"One day her father, a dragon, made a double of himself in the form of a baby, so that the girl would have a friend"
"But then...in an effort to gain control over the dragon princess a king killed her beloved pet"
"The girl went mad with pain, grief and rage"
"With the power she had inherited from her father she destroyed the king along with his entire nation, including tens of thousands of people"
"It was then that the girl transformed into a demon lord and when she did...the baby dragon miraculously came back to life"
"But since the creature had lost its soul when it died it came back as an evil monster with no will of its own and destroyed everything in its path"
"It was known as the Chaos Dragon"
"Though it pained her greatly, the girl sealed away her once beloved companion"
"This was her very first task upon becoming a demon Lord" and so Eren finished her story.
Listening to that story I...I had already heard the gist of it from dad but hearing the whole thing, it honestly hurt me a little to hear it all. It wasn't hard for me to figure out who the story was supposed to be about because from the knowledge that I currently have there is only one demon lord that this story could possibly be referring to.
"There you have it, that's why I'm going to become a demon lord"
"Same" I muttered, causing everyone to look over at me slightly surprised.
"What? I'm not going to take the chance that dad can't resurrect Zeref just because he's an abyssal creature or some other stupid reason like that. I'm not willing to gamble with his life and ruin our chances of ever bringing him back" I explained while getting slightly annoyed at all of the stares that I was getting.
I was currently sitting at a long table surrounded by several others that were all here for the meeting as well. The people here were mainly from tempest like Benimaru but there were also some others like Eren and her party. We were also using some kind of magical telephone-like thing, it was so that the people who were trapped outside the barrier could hear and talk to us.
"There's an army heading here from the kingdom of Falmuth" Rimuru said after everyone had excepted why I was also doing this.
"I'm going to use ten thousand soldiers as nourishment to evolve into a demon lord" this got several different reactions but no one interrupted to argue against it.
"And even though I don't want her to do it...I know that Suu is right, we can't take that risk"
(I'm happy he finally came around but I would have done this even if he had disagreed with me) I thought while sighing a little, I really didn't want to get in a fight with him over this but if he had actually tried to stop me it probably would have ended that way.
"After all, the information we have on how the abyss actually works is extremely limited and we don't even know if the souls of Abyssal creatures work the same way as normal souls do"
Rimuru had already asked great sage about it but the problem is that great sage actually doesn't have much if any information on how the abyss works on a more deeper, theoretical level. She said something along the lines of, the abyss works by its own twisted, ever changing rules and laws of reality, it basically doesn't work like our world does and the way it works is constantly changing, so in the end there is actually no way to tell what exactly would happen to a soul that was corrupted with abyss magic after its body has died. So for all we know the chances of Zeref's soul still being around could be higher or lower than the others. Sadly it all comes back to the fact that we just don't have any understanding on how the abyss actually works, a problem I plan to fix once this is all over.
"But anyway, the chance of Shion, Zeref and all the others being resurrected is a whole three percent" that got a lot of surprise gasps.
"Wait! Are you serious lord Rimuru?" Shuna asked after a second of shocked silence.
"Yes he is, and even though it's not that high of a chance...it is at least a chance to save everyone" I hummed softly before smiling slightly and continuing
"And all we have to do is slaughter a crap ton of racist, child murdering bastards, so personally, it sounds like a hell of a fun time in my opinion" I chuckled darkly which ended up earning an annoyed look from Rimuru but honestly it's hard to tell when he's in his slime form.
(Yama would have agreed with me) I thought with a roll of my eyes.
(Not that that is a surprise to anyone)
"I'm sure each of you have questions and concerns but I'd like for you to hear everything we have to say first"
"Alright" Shuna nodded respectfully, everyone wanted to ask something related to the current subject of conversation, including her but for now they waited.
"Suu..." before continuing Rimuru looked over at me with a concerned look, I knew exactly what he wanted to ask at that moment and just shrugged in response.
"Go ahead. I honestly don't give a shit at this point and it is probably for the best that I come clean as well, however it is also probably for the best if you go first, after all my past is a bit...of a heavier subject" that was the understatement of a lifetime.
Rimuru took a deep breath before starting. "The truth is I was once a human myself and I lived in the same world that your other worlders usually come from...but one day I, well I died"
"I was reborn in this world as a slime. At first I was completely on my own but even in this new form that I found myself in I was able to find new friends as well as allies. Haha, I even found myself an edgy daughter" I sent a mocked glare his way for that last part.
"Hey! I take offence to that" I hissed, getting a chuckle in return.
"That's you guys, you're my family...and you're important to me" he looked a little embarrassed having to say that but I don't think anyone noticed other than me.
"That...that was touching, extremely cheesy but touching nonetheless" I whispered under my breath, it was only then that I noticed everyone looking at me and I realized it was my turn.
"I'm not going to get too much into this mainly because my life before I came here wasn't a fun one and we already have enough emotional crap to deal with at the moment"
"To put it in the bluntest way possible, I was abused and mistreated by basically everyone from the moment of my birth without any real justification for it. I ended up starving to death after years of physical and mental abuse, after my death though I ended up being reborn here in this world where slime boy found me" normally I'd hate bringing this up but considering how I currently felt I honestly didn't care, though I did decide it would be for the best not to get into the more painful details.
"So yeah, my life was basically a literal nightmare before I came here" I tried my best to ignore all the shocked and sad looks I was getting from everyone. Actually the fact that I had ended up starving to death probably hit Geld and Kuro the hardest, after all they also know how that somewhat feels.
(I'm not going to tell them about my missing memories yet, mainly because I don't want to open that can of worms but also because it's not really important right now)
"Lady Suu..." Yang tried to say something but I cut her off before she could.
"Let's just move on already"
(We can save all the feely stuff for after everyone is revived and those fuckers are all burning in hell!) Killing them was the only thing on my mind at the moment, so for now everything else could wait.
"You sure?" Rimuru asked.
"Yeah, let's just move on please"
"Alright..."
