Chapter 3: Chapter 2: New Face

Mei Bai was looking in the mirror and contorted her face as if to check if it was real and not some sort of plastic surgery thing.
First, she did a fish face and moved her lips around. Hmm seems pretty natural. She pinched her chin. It didn't mold to her fingers so that was a good sign. She closed her eye to see if there was any scar from double eyelid surgery. The double eyelid wasn't static and moved with her closing of the eye. She then slapped her face.
Now that I think about it. That scumbag's girl probably had some work done. She had a scar on her stomach. Looked like a tummy tuck scar. So she probably had something done on her face.
Although she acted pretty strangely most of the time, Mei Bai was very passionate about figuring out whether someone had plastic surgery after watching a Korean idol survival show and finding out that the contestant did not just have the same name as a girl who bullied her for being chubby and pimply. In other words her high school bully.
Turns out, the contestant WAS her high school bully. She'd completely changed her face with plastic surgery.
Mei Bai was devastated, she was really rooting for her.
After that betrayal, Mei Bai had made it her duty to train her eyes to look for plastic surgery.
Thinking of that, she continued to manhandle her face.

So the scene Lian Li walked into was this:
His new fake wife was making a fish face and winking at herself in the mirror. She was slapping her face and it had already turned red and stood out on her white skin. Her chin had scratch marks on it. All in all, it was quite a ridiculous setup.
He stopped and his tracks and stared at the originally quiet girl acted like a madman. He decided to keep his voice down and sneak up on her to try to figure out what was wrong. As he got closer to her he could hear her mumbling "it can't be over and over again".
Lian Li reached out his hand to her shoulder and was almost to her when the floor creaked.
