Chapter 20: A Time to Mourn?

Jin's POV

Though he stayed steady,  I had never seen Master Liu like this. He seemed to be about as messed up as I was in finding Aya dead. 

When I glance at her face as her head rests on his chest,  I feel my heart constrict. She looks so young and yet she's older than all twelve of us combined. It's astounding, and hard to accept at times. 

Finally we walk up to the Elders hut and gain entrance. With utmost care,  Master Liu lays her on her back, off to the side of Mako. "I see you found her then." He states as he turns  toward her body. 

Master Liu sits down on the other side of Aya running his hand through this short hair. "Yes Mako we found her. Though unfortunately it's too late." wiping at his eyes he sniffles a bit and I sit down next to him in a similar condition.
