"You okay?" He pulled my chair closer to where he sat on my desk and observed my face like it was a medical mystery. "You're looking tired." 

"Gee thanks. Here I thought my concealer was putting in overtime." I muttered sarcastically, finally feeling some sense of fatigue and wishing I had a pillow. "I'm fine. Why aren't you out to lunch?" 

"I already ate and came to make sure you did too." Jason looked me over and immediately frowned in disapproval. "How long have you been here?" 

"I got in around eight in the morning? I stopped by the project to check in with Emily on my way here. Why?" 

"Shouldn't you be at home?" My husband sighed and let his head fall back. "I sure wish I was."
