Originally, the City Lord wants to spend this whole month of him recuperating by teaching Kence when he saw how talented the young man is. Too bad, buying the rights of a part of the Thousand Beasts Forests involved too many formalities and paper works. Otto would be quite busy in the mean time

But him healing from poison is actually good, if he bought the rights and immediately entered the forest, it will attract lots of eyes to him. He can't immediately harvest the treasures

"Thank you, teacher" Kence bowed in gratitude and went to his master's side to help him walk. "I'm sorry young master, this is my fault. If I'm strong enough you don't need to endanger yourself" Kence said while sighing helplessly. As of now, he was too weak. He can't do anything to help his master. This caused him to blame himself

If he was strong enough then he can just give everything Calter wants and needs. No need for Calter to work hard and put himself in danger

Calter smiled bitterly but Kence never failed to touch his heart. He used his fingers to flick on Kence's forehead while smiling at him lovingly. "Silly, this is not your fault. You helping me walk now is a great help" Kence only smiled at his master but deep inside him, he was blaming himself

His master was always there to protect him and give him anything he needs but he cannot give back anything to his master. For Kence, he was always on the receiving end and not the one giving

The two side by side exited the room, leaving the City Lord alone. Otto just shook his head at the two, with how close and important they are to each other, how can his Caizha win over Calter? There's no chance at all

Throwing the matter at the back of his mind, Otto took another piece of paper. This paper was much more exquisite than the one he previously used for him and Calter's agreement. There were some gold designs on it, one look was enough to see that this is a high-quality paper. If normal people learned the price of this paper, they might stare hatefully and greedily at it

The City Lord started writing a letter. Every single word was written with care. Otto didn't dare used any inappropriate words in the letter and he made sure that it would be as formal and respectful as possible. This is after all a letter that he will send to the Enchanted Alliance

The Enchanted Alliance is the overlord amongst the humans living in the realm. They were under no one and they are the rule makers! For normal people who cannot affect the Alliance, they won't need to fear them. But to those who have the power, the Alliance is like a nightmare for them

If they do anything that will throw the balance of the world in disarray, the Alliance will use their manpower to hunt you. After finishing his letter, the City Lord went out from his Wizard Tower and saw Kence and Calter slowly walking amidst the snow land

This made Otto realized how hard it is for Calter to walk on a pile of snow. He was too pre-occupied on the treasures he will get and forgot Calter's current state

Even with all the time that passed that the City Lord used to write the letter, the two still hadn't gone that far. In truth, if it was just Calter alone he can ignore the pain and forced himself to travel faster. But Kence, taking care of him like this was something he cannot resist and he was savoring any moment of it

Calter's arm was on Kence's shoulder while Kence's arm was supporting Calter. Too bad, the young master's sweet time with his lover was bound to lessen because of the City Lord

Surrounded by this much snow, the snow and ice land were the City Lord's lair where he is at his strongest. Although he was still poisoned but he was still a level 3 Magician and the poison doesn't affect his magic that much

The City Lord reached Kence and Calter position. He stomped his foot on the ground and the soft snow were frozen into solid ice. It wasn't the smooth ice that will make one trip but it was a rough patch of ice. It would be easier for Calter to walk on that kind of terrain

The two turned their backs and saw the City Lord smiling at them. Kence's eyes lit up and he threw Otto a grateful look. "Teacher, thank you!" With this patch of ice, it would be easier for his master to walk. This filled Kence with joy

The City Lord nodded his head but when he turned to look at Calter he saw the dissatisfied look on the youth. How can Calter not be dissatisfied? This was supposed to be his sweet moment with Kence and he planned on taking his time. But with the City Lord helping them like this, their travel time would significantly lessen

The City Lord was taken aback and he didn't know what made Calter dissatisfied. He can only cursed Calter inside him as he was being too ungrateful. The three walked in the ice together with Otto turning their path into solid yet rough ice

They reached the stairs leading to the outside world and Kence helped his master in walking on the stairs. It was harder to walk on stairs, fortunately the City Lord was kind enough to wait patiently for them

They reached the small secret room outside. As soon as they got out from the stairs, the formation in the room did its wonders and the stairs vanished

"I'll order someone to prepare a carriage for the both of you. It would be troublesome to ride on a horse in that condition" the City Lord said out in kindness before taking out a sound transmission stone and gave out his orders

This caused him to not see another dissatisfied expression on Calter's face. If they rode in a horse, their position would once again be intimate with Kence hugging Calter. But now, his moment was ruined by the City Lord again!

Calter can only grit his teeth angrily. "Big Brother?" Kence saw the unnatural look on his master's face and he called out his name. He feared that the pain was too much for his master to take

Calter turned to look at the man on his side and plastered a smile on his face. "I'm fine"

After giving out the orders, the three headed back outside where their ride would be waiting for them. As soon as they got outside, two carriages were already waiting for them

One was a luxury carriage that has Calter's Cloud Stepping Horse on it with a coachman. The other one was only a simple looking carriage with a normal horse

"Go inside the first carriage" The City Lord said while pointing at the luxury carriage. This filled Kence with confusion, could it be that his teacher will ride a normal carriage?

With his teacher's position, why would he ride that kind of carriage?

Otto can read the questions inside of Kence's mind. "I don't like being too high profile" hearing the City Lord's words, Kence nodded his head in realization. With their interactions and the few rumors, he heard about the City Lord, it was really possible that Otto wants to keep a low profile

"Then, we'll go ahead now Teacher. We still need to take care of my master's injury" Otto nodded his head and waved at them before walking to the normal carriage

Kence and Calter also went inside the luxury carriage with Kence still helping the latter. As soon as they sat inside, the coachman controlled the horse and they started going back in the Sternix Clan

The driver was considerate not to drive the horse too fast. "Big Brother, does it hurt?" Kence asked worriedly while looking at the injuries of his master. Calter was still covered by his clothes but there were some patches where his robe was destroyed and you can see the insides of it

In truth, it was mostly flesh wound. The bones were not that damaged and with a healer mage, it can go back to normal in less than a week. If they were willing to fork out cash, they can ask a priest from one of the churches to heal him immediately. Even with magic, Calter's injury still needed some time to fully heal. However, using the Divine Arts of the priest's, things would be different!

Not only they have powerful and destructive Divine Spells but their other abilities are even more useful. Just like their healing, not even the best doctor/healers outside of the church can match them. That's why even though mages pursued the truths of the world through magic and believed that Gods are just powerful magician, there were still some churches striving inside the Enchanted Star Realm

After the long ride, their carriage finally reached the Sternix Clan. The guards immediately clamored in the gates to see who was the distinguished person to have a Cloud Stepping Horse and ride inside a luxury carriage like that

The coachman opened the carriage's door and bowed at the people inside. He wants to help Calter as the youth was injured but Calter didn't let him. Kence was the first to exit the carriage and helped his master

The guards watched with wide eyes. Their young master was actually injured and from the looks of it, it doesn't look like a light wound

Calter's dark eyes turned to look at the Sternix Clan's guards. The guards recovered from their shock and hastily opened the Clan's gate to let masters enter the house

"Young Masters, the City Lord said to leave the horse and carriage inside your Clan" the coachman said respectfully. Calter nodded his head and asked the guards around to take care of the horse and carriage

The two entered the Clan and went inside their home. Coincidentally, the Madame and Patriarch were currently in the Clan and the guards already informed them of their son's current state

As soon as they entered the house, Kence and Calter saw the young master's parents waiting for them worriedly.

Calter's parents were looking at their son worriedly. Too bad that it wasn't purely because of concern for Calter's wellbeing but they worried that the Sternix Clan's next patriarch would be crippled. Of course, the two were still worried for their son but their biggest concern was the Clan's well-being

"What happened at you?" Narry asked his son. "I met a powerful magic beast in my training. Nothing serious" Calter coolly answered

"Come inside, I already called the Clan's healer"

They walked to the living room where an old man was already waiting for them. The old man may look weak or actually he was weak but no one in the Clan dared to look down at him. His position was quite high as he is the Sternix Clan's main healer!

Of all the healers inside the Clan, he was the one that can use the most powerful magic to heal people. His importance can be seen from that

"Son, sit. Let the healer help you" Calter just kept his mouth shut and walked into one of the sofas and sat on it. The old man immediately went to Calter's side and his wand appeared on his hand

"Young Master, please remove your clothes first" the old man said and Calter subtlety looked at Kence. He smirked on his mind as he was confident on his body. After going back in the past, he made sure that he'll be in shape to make Kence drool. Finally, he now has the chance to show off his hard work

Calter turned at Kence's direction before slowly removing the pieces of his clothing. Kence didn't know why but there were some anticipations when he saw his master slowly removing his clothes
