Chapter 3: Demonstrating our Elements
Having the first part of the test ended, We moved on to our next task.
"OK PEOPLE ARE YOU READY FOR YOUR NEXT TASK?" Asked Announcer-Kiyoshi.
"YEEEEEEEEEEEEES" "WHOHOOOOOO!" Shouted the crowd in response.
"So, for your next task, you will be doing 'Elemental Conjuration'." Said Goku-Sensei.
"Oh, I know what that is, Isn't it basically 'Element Creation', right?" Said someone in the crowd.
"Yeah, we will be showing 3 objects, and you will be 'Conjuring' them with your 'Element', And those of you who do not know what that means, It's basically creating an object with your 'Element'." Explained Goku-Sensei, "Also, I want to point out how we all know how elements have been evolving from generation to generation, it's still pretty rare, But we saw some applicants had what is being called a 'Physical Element'." Added Goku-Sensei.
"A Physical Power?" "What the hell is that?" "Why are we dealing with sh*t we don't even know"
"So, for those of you who have a 'Physical Element', we made your own type of tasks that are quite similar to the tasks of the 'Emitter Elements', But they are different in there own way so that those of you with a 'Physical Element' have the chance to enter the Academy." Goku-Sensei explained
"Instead of having to 'Conjure' something you will be showing us your special kind of trait that only your power can do." Goku-Sensei added.
"..... , THERE IS A SPECIAL TEST FOR PHYSICAL POWERS?!?!?" Shouted Announcer-Kiyoshi almost as if his eyes were to pop out.
"HE-HE'S CLUELESS!!!!" Shouted the crowd in unison with disappointment in their faces...
The day before the 'Test',
"So, What do you suggest we do with those that apply with a 'Physical Element'?" Asked one of the Staff members of E.A.C
"Well, From what we know, we should test their power, skills, and versatility, and separate them into parts the same way the 'Emitter Element' and 'Summon Element' users had." Suggested the other Staff member.
"Yeah that works, But I will give you that their physical strength is stupid." Answered the Staff member that started the conversation.
"Yeah I agree" Answered the other Staff member...
"Alright, Now we are going to present the 3 objects." Said Goku-Sensei
"Ok So, FOR THE FIRST OBJECT, YOU WILL BE CREATING A CUP!" Said Announcer-Kiyoshi with passion.
"That easy? I didn't expect to create something like that." "If this is how the 'Test' will be then I will pass no problemo." Exclaimed the crowd.
"FOR YOUR SECOND OBJECT, YOU WILL BE CREATING A BOTTLE!" Shouted Announcer-Kiyoshi through the loud speaker.
"Yyyyyeah, Im passing this 'Test'." "This will be one of the easiest things I have ever done in my life."
"But there's a catch, You will be blindfolded and will only be allowed to examine it for 5 minutes, and THEN, you will proceed to conjure it." Explained Goku-Sensei
"W-Why did I speak…." "I take back what I said, I hate this." "This is going to be harder than I thought" Started to murmur the people in the crowd.
"And for your last object... you will be conjuring, YOUR WEAPON!" Yelled Announcer-Kiyoshi.
"W-Wait, for real?" "IF HE'S NOT SERIOUS THAN WHY WOULD HE HAVE THAT FACE?" "YEEEEEEEES, THIS IS AMAZING, NORMALLY YOU ARENT TO CONJURE YOUR WEAPON!"
"O-our weapon? Seriously?" I said in shock.
"Oh this will be good." Said Jonetsu out loud, He almost looked like he was thinking out loud.
"Hey guys!" Said Misaki from behind us.
"Ah your back, Where were you? You suddenly disappeared." I answered as I came back from my shock.
"Yeah, I was just doing something real quick, So what are we going to do now?"
"Well to keep it short, We are supposed to conjure certain objects, The first object is a cup, then a bottle- Which has a catch, We will be given 5 minutes to examine the bottle while being blindfolded, and finally our weapon." I explained to Misaki.
"Well, It sound sound all too hard, But our Weapon? That's interesting." Answered Misaki.
"Oh yeah, Before I forget, I just remembered to ask you what your 'Element' was?" I asked with curiosity painted all over my face.
"My 'Element'? Sure thing! My 'Element' is 'Metal'." Answered Misaki.
"Metal? That's interesting, I swore it was some kind of wi-" I started until I was cut off by the loudspeaker.
"OK PEOPLE LET'S STAAAAART!!! SO OUR FIRST APPLICANT IS OGASAWARA TATSUYA!" Called out Announcer-Kiyoshi through the loudspeaker.
Everyone remained silent as we heard the loud steps of him walking down to the stage, At first glance I could tell he was a direct and focused guy, But what really stood out about him, was that he was accompanied by a DRAGON!
"Wait a second, We saw him earlier when we first entered the building!" I pointed out as I looked at Jonetsu, Yeah, I'm interested in seeing what he can do." Jonetsu said as he crossed his arms.
"Well, In your Application sheet it says you can use physical transformation and summoning ability. So for this phase I will ask you to use one of your skills or abilities, Which one you choose is up to your preference." Explained Goku-Sensei as he read Ogosawara's Application Sheet.
"Sure, You ready Rin?" Ogosawara said as he crouched as he patted his little Dragon pet on the head, "Raaaaaaaa" Said his little dragon companion in response.
As he got up he kept a smirk on his face as steam started to come out of his nostrils as his throat started to swell like a balloon until suddenly-
"Dragon Element: DRAGON BREATH!" Invoked Tatsuya.
HE WAS BREATHING FIRE!
"A-Amazing!" I said in total amazement.
"Now you don't see that every day." Jonetsu said out loud as he too was in total awe from what Tatsuya had done.
"WOOOOW! THAT'S SO COOL!" Yelled Misaki as she was clearly the most amazed one out of us three.
"WOOOOAH, HE CAN BREATH FIRE! NOW THAT'S SOMETHING WE DON'T SEE EVERYDAY." Shouted Announcer-Kiyoshi which he too was in total amazement.
"Hm, Not bad. I'm looking forward to seeing you passing." Goku-sensei, said as he wrote something down, "Either way, Let's move on." Added Goku-sensei.
"AS MY GOOD FRIEND GOKU SAID, WE WILL BE MOVING ON, AND FOR OUR NEXT APPLICANT IS SUNADA MUSAMI, DUE TO YOU HAVING A 'EMITTER' KIND OF ELEMENT YOU WILL BE CONJURING THE CUP!" Yelled Announcer-Kiyoshi through the loudspeaker.
Sunada is a flashy guy, As he walked down he wore clothes that look like some kind of glittery cape of some sort. It's one of the things that stood out of him, But not the one that stood out the most.
Once he got to the center of the stage he flapped his shiny cape back and struck a stunning pose.
"It's time to shine! Digital Element: Copy Script!" Invoked Musami in a shout.
"Di-Digital?" "Are you serious?" "This guy can practically copy anything!"
"Hey, Goku" Said Kiyoshi, "Yeah?" Asked Goku back, "Just sayin, But Sunada Musami, He has real good chances to get in, Sure it's only a cup, But aside from making a replica it had color and everything." Kiyoshi pointed out, "Yeah I know, He's gonna be a good one, IF he passes." Goku added.
The 1st Phase of the test started to go swiftly as we saw amazing 'Elements' such as a girl that was able to control plants, Until it was Jonetsu's turn that really shook the crowd.
"OOOOOK PEOPLE, OUR NEXT APPLICANT IS KONETSU JONETSU!" Announcer-Kiyoshi shouted.
"It's my turn." Jonetsu sighed as he got up, "Shock everyone with 'that', good luck!" I said with a smile, "Yeah yeah, You don't have to tell me." Jonetsu answered, "Yeah good luck!" Misaki exclaimed, "Thanks" Jonetsu answered.
As he walked down the stairs everyone kept a close eye on what Jonetsu would do, This is due to the fact that Ice is very versatile which kept everyone at the edge of their chairs. Once he got to the center of the stage, his skin got pale and he started to exhale cold air.
"Hey is that cold air he's breathing out." "He looks like he's frozen from the inside out." Said the people in the crowd.
After he blindfolded he took the bottle and slowly studied it. He didn't use all of the time he had, he only took two minutes and a half, Once he took off his blindfold he threw a glance at me and threw a small smirk that kept the crowd confused, Once he created a perfect replica of the cup everyone thought his performance had ended, But in reality it wasn't.
"Ok you can-" Goku-sensei was saying until he was interrupted by Jonetsu
"Ever since I got up from my seat, and came down here, everyone kept their eyes peeled because Ice is widely known for being amazing at both offensive and defensive abilities, at the same time being great at both range and close combat, But In my case those aren't as far as my skills go." Jonetsu explained, "As you can see both of these pieces of ice are different, Once is darker and the other is lighter, Why would that be Mr. Announcer?" Jonetsu asked
"Why do I- I would imagine it's because it's denser than normal ice." Goku-sensei said with a sigh.
"Your right, Just as expected from a Teacher at this Academy." Jonetsu said as he proceeded to take the bottle, and placed it on the ground.
"Also I forgot to mention, If I'm in range, whatever it touches it will freeze." Jonetsu pointed out as the ground under the bottle started to slowly freeze, "It will only work with Ice I created, For example, if I make a small ice rock and someone swallows it, On my command it will start freezing them from the inside out." Jonetsu added.
"He-Hey the floor is freezing!" "I-Is there another kind of Ice Element!?" Shouted the crowd in confusion.
"No, there is no other Ice Element, I'm actually the first 9th Generation Ice user." Jonetsu pointed out as he started at the stairs.
"Th-That guy is amazing" "He will definitely pass this 'test'!"
"Wait, that has to be him, He will definitely pass… Because he was recommended as a Student in this Academy" Goku-sensei said to himself.
"Well, Moving on." Goku-sensei said with a sigh.
"Uhh ok, Well, NEXT APPLICANT IS SOSHIKABE ZAKOU!" Announcer-Kiyoshi shouted through the loudspeaker.
"Ok, it's my turn." I said with a gulp as I shaked uncontrollably, "Y-YOUR SHAKING!" Jonetsu and Misaki pointed out as he came back.
"I can't really control my 'Element' well it's going to be hard but I still have to try and pass it." I thought to myself.
"Ok, calm down, it's only a bottle, it's just making a bottle." I said to myself as I walked down to the stage.
"Its that plain kid again" "Last time was probably a fluke" Whispered the crowd.
Once I got to the middle of the stage I blindfolded myself, I took the bottle and studied it, once my five minutes were up I felt like the world was ending, but all I could do was do my best.
I focused really hard, But my hands were shaking because I couldn't, I couldn't control my 'Element' and for years, I dreamed of going to this academy, But, I'm not going to fail!
Once I tried creating it everyone was silent I hadn't known at that moment but I thought I didn't make it.
"I-Is that bottle multi-color?" Said Announcer-Kiyoshi through the loudspeaker.
"So this is what the director told me about…" Said Goku to himself.
When I took the blindfold off I wasn't nervous anymore and the bottle was only made of wind.
"I-I did I…" I said as I fell down to the ground as Jonetsu made me float with his 'Wind Element'.
"You did well." Jonetsu said with a sigh.
