Chapter 9: A Moment To Reflect
"I'm home!" I sighed as I walked inside of the door.
"Welcome back!" Laughed out Mom & Dad.
"He-Hey, What's with that arm?" Said Dad with a gasp.
"Ugh it's a long story, I will explain at dinner, I'm exhausted…" I sighed as I walked in the kitchen.
A moment later someone knocked on the front door.
"Oh, Hey Jonetsu, How's it going, come in!" Exclaimed my dad.
"Sorry for the intrusion Mr. Soshikabe, But apparently my parents are not home right now and they didn't leave me the key to the house, So I thought I would just stop by for a little while." Jonetsu very politely explained. (Lol, just love this bit)
"Sure thing, you have to stop worrying about politeness here, you're practically part of the family you know you're always welcome! Come and eat dinner with us." Dad patted him on the back with a smile.
"Thank you very much, and again sorry for the intrusion." Jonetsu answered.
"You really gotta drop the act man, why can't you treat me like that from time to time…" I sighed.
"Yeah yeah, the day you speak to a girl without freaking out you can ask me about treating you nicely." He answered with a smirk.
"Pfffffffff, HAHAHAH, You what!?" Dad laughed, almost choking on his food.
"Is my little boy in love?" Mom smirked while looking at me.
"M-Mom I'm not a little boy!" I blushed while chewing on my food.
"Well, so how did your tests go?" Dad asked after regaining his composure.
"Well, Zakou destroyed half the stage." Jonetsu said while chewing on some rice.
"Y-YOU WHAT!?, HOW?" Dad yelled, slamming his hands on the table.
"And it turns out he used Body Dislocation for like 15 minutes." Jonetsu snarled while looking at me dead in the eye (that dirty snitch >:( )
"Zakou…" Dad growled while looking at me with deadly intent.
"EEK, D-Dad I-I can explain." I squirmed while slowly standing up.
He teleported behind me and grabbed onto my shoulder, it felt as if he was going to break my arm again. I got free from his grip and ran away, but he ran right after while using silent step.
"So Jonetsu, What happened inside the test?" Asked mom after punching dad and I on the head.
"I sometimes wonder who's more dangerous, your dad or your mom…" Jonetsu trembled , "Well, for starters it turns out Zakou has 5 elements."
"Hm Hm, I see, Wait, WHAAAAAAAAAT!?"
Jonetsu: Well It happened like this.

"You're like a cold sea waiting to pull their prey and drown them, But me, I'm a ferocious beast, A beast waiting to grab ahold of his prey and rip them apart, Lets see which one of these will powers wins." Ogosawara smiled as his eyes turned into those of a reptile.
He quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me close towards him which he tried to take advantage of the extra force that would get added on to his punch, But I used 'Soru' a special technique only certain clans and families can learn how to do which allows me to teleport short distances. As soon as I teleported behind him I tried kicking him in the ribs, But he blocked me.
"Looks like the ferocious beast will come out as the winner." He grinned.

"Wow, What a bloodlust…" He said in a sarcastic tone.
"Assassin Style: Nerve Dart…" I whispered as I got close to Ogosawara.
"DRAGON ELEMENT: DRAGON BREATH!" Invoked Ogosawara with a shout.
"HOLY-THAT KID CAN ACTUALLY FIGHT" "THIS IS GETTING GOOD!" Cheered the crowd.
"Wha- GOD DAMN IT!" I thundered full of anger.
"Oh god, ZAKOU DON'T DO IT." Jonetsu shouted at me as he aggressively grabbed a hold of the metal railing.
"ASSASSIN ART: BODY DISLOCATION!" Zakou exclaimed, "Fine, If you're going at it, I WILL TOO!" Tatsuya exclaimed,
"DRAGON ART: DRAGON CLAWS" Ogosawara invoked as his nails quickly grew into large dragon-like claws.
"GRAAAAAAAA!" Ogosawara and I growled in unison.
My body feels different, I feel lighter.
"FIRE ELEMENT: FIRE FIST!"
"COME AT ME!" I shouted with all my might, "IF YOU SAY SO!" Ogosawara smiled as he kneeled back and leaped forward at an immeasurable speed.
"Water Element: TIDAL WAVE!" I invoked with a shout.
He kicked me in the gut with great force flinging me across the stage colliding with one of the walls at the other end of the stadium. At this point the match should have been over, Due to me being out of bounds, But my emotions drove me to keep going.
"O-OGOSAWARA, COME AT ME WITH YOUR ABSOLUTE BEST, LET'S SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!" I shouted full of pride as I fell off of the ceramic wall leaving my imprint on it.
"WELL SAID YOU ELEMENTAL BASTARD!" Ogosawara shouted in response.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" We yelled in unison with anger.
"LIGHTNING ELEMENT: FIRST FORM…" - "DRAGON ART: FORCE GROWTH…" We both invoked with rage.
"THUNDER CLAP" - "DRAGON RAGE" We invoked as we both released both of our abilities.
"SOSHIKABE ZAKOU IS OUT OF BOUNDS!" He added.
"And that's what happened." Jonetsu finished after a long period of explaining.
"I see, You still did amazing, but man to think you trying out for this test would bring out this much from you is amazing!" Dad exclaimed full of joy.
"I think you will definitely make it into the academy." Said Mom with a warm smile.
"Yeah, with his performance, he's getting in no problem, there was also this girl named Misaki we met today."
"Yeah, Misaki is really nice and cute." I answered, "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Said Dad while looking at mom, "I think I do." Answered Mom.
"Anyway I met the school director." I said over them with a sigh, "Anything important worth noting?" Asked Dad while crossing his arms, "Well he visited me after I had lost my rematch to Tatsuya and he told me the backstory of our family, about this guy named Saito Soshikabe." I explained, "Mm, yeah. I've heard the name before from my grandfather, but I don't know too much about him though." He elucidated
"How come you never told me about him?" I asked full of curiosity since this is the ancestor my powers come from, "Never thought I had to, but I guess in this case that story- no, that Origin is true, which will play a huge role in what will be ahead of you." Dad answered with a sigh
"Well what I do know is that It turns out the Director already knew about my powers, I don't know how, but he intended to accept me into the school from the beginning." I clarified, "Is that so? I wonder who this director of yours is." Dad said with a puzzled expression.
"We were totally left out of the conversation…" Said Jonetsu and Mom with a frown.
"Well now that we're done with dinner, You two come with me." Dad ordered as he got up from his chair.
He took us into our training room where my Dad used to teach me new skills and to hone my abilities.
"Um, why are we here Dad?" I asked in a sense of fear what he might do to us, "hehe, I want to see how you managed to pass the test, so go ahead and show this old man what you too can do." He answered with a smile.
"W-What?"
