Chapter 3: Getting Ready
Rin wasn't an ordinary child, you see he had a dark aura about him when he walked past you the hairs or in my case feathers stand on end. You see Rin was the same as Faith, his mother made the same deal even though for the opposite gender. Lord Blackrose had a big family 5 daughters the eldest already married with children of her own, But Rin was special to Lord Blackrose as he was the only ayr in the family.
"Alright back to Faith's Birthday".
Lord Ravenwood St. Claire had planned a huge ball for Faith, she had a new dress fitted to her specifications, a royal purple ball gown with deep purple jewels round the waistband and neckline, the material was the finest silk money could buy, she had 3 petticoats that sparkled when she spun. She was most certainly a vision of beauty. Her violet hair was done up in a bun with her bangs curled to shape her face, I'm most certain that young Master Blackrose would be blown away with her beauty. He had also been told what colour of tuxedo to wear so he would compliment Faith's dress and not clash with my lady.
Her father and brothers all had matching suits with the Ravenwood St. Claire Crest on the top jacket pocket. This was a grand occasion, a huge celebration, after all it was a birthday and engagement ball rolled into one. The mansion was a buzz of excitement with decorations being hung and food being prepped, everything had to be perfect. Faith was the most excited this was her 1st proper ball that she was of age to attend, yes she had been to parties before but not a ball. As the day went on guests were arriving and everything was set, all they needed now was for Faith to enter and the party to begin.
You may be wondering how I knew all this as I only met Faith on her 10th birthday, well you see I am not an ordinary owl, nope I am an enchanted owl or in simpler words I can use magic.
