Chapter 38: Diferences

3 hours have gone by and in the training room, two people and one cat could be seen inside, a man sweating and breathing heavily was seen, his torso was lowered while his hands were grabbing on his slightly bent knees.

' This is hell... How can I be more tired with just 3 hours of training with her, than 5 hours on my own?' Daeho thought while he lifted his head to stare at the tan woman who was looking at him with a grin.

She took a step forward toward him and once beside him she just patted his back. Liz knew what he was thinking after all, and with a knowing smile, she said.

'' A good training is not about how much time you are at it, but the way you do it, it doesn't matter if you are doing something for one day if you are doing it wrong and to begin with.''

While she was talking she began walking toward Nisha and crouched down, petting her and scratching the back of her ears.

'' People confuse efficiency and hard work. Efficient people know how to do things in an abnormal way, in so doing work 2 to 3 times faster than the hard workers. Hard work is commendable but in the end, they end in the wrong path.''

Daeho was reflecting on her words, but he couldn't agree with her. So he opened his mouth and asked.

''I can't agree with you, hard work will always help you in whatever you do, eventually, hard workers will surpass the boundaries restricting them and find a path for themselves.''

That was Daeho's honest opinion and he spoke about his belief, maybe because he had been a hard worker in his past life. Thinking about it he couldn't help but have a bitter smile.

But before he could engulf himself in these memories once more, he was interrupted by Liz, who turned toward him her eyes giving him a complex feeling.

She shook her head. ''No hard work only leads to one thing, self-destruction, self-deprecation. Hard work is good to catch up onto something, but once you are at the level you once desired, you keep going and going, your good at something and you still go, why?''

Her voice paused and she began walking toward the door. '' Because they think they are behind, and they think others once they catch up will be better than them, or they will feel inferior to the ones they think are 'geniuses' and then they will self destruct, trying to narrow the so called gap and if they fail they just curse the world and start to whine about how unfair the world is and how some genius can have the result they had in a way shorter time, but then they are so caught up with chasing others and forget to look at themselves their errors, but the in the end, what are geniuses?''

She stopped opened the door and walked outside before slowly closing the door and saying. '' We will meet after your classes tomorrow, call me sister I am older than you and I quite like you, and for the answer... A genius is just an abnormally efficient person.''

Then the door closed leaving an amazed Daeho who stared at the door for quite some time.

Leaving him thinking about many things in which one of them was.

'In the end why the dramatic leave?' he shook his head and began reflecting on what she said.

He sat cross legged and placed Nisha in the middle while he stroked her soft fluffy fur.

Minutes he reflected on those words, but in the end, he smiled bitterly he knew better than anyone about what she was talking about. But in the end, he knew that hard work was a good thing to narrow down the gap between two things, but never surpass the other because you are so caught up on the other side that you don't see your own flaws.

Daeho just wouldn't stop working more than others because of this. Her words just meant he had to work harder than others while striving to be efficient and meticulous on his work.

Daeho nodded at this realization, satisfied with himself, he picked Nisha up to eye level closed down kissing her furred face.

''Nisha how can you be so cute?'' in which Nisha just purred and licked his own cheek.

In the end everything about the world was too confusing, and he should just play with his lovely daughter Nisha, and forget about the earthling matters, do what you can do and work for a better you.
