Chapter 22: Demon species

Finally, it was Jordan´s turn, he went ahead and sat across from the strange goblin, this particular goblin had tattoos of runes all over his body and was covered only by loincloth and cape that was over his shoulders, on his ears were many extravagant earrings and on his hands was a number of rings overall he was covered in gold jewelry.
The goblin said "drop of blood" and pointed at the crystal that was before him, inside the crystal, there were golden circles that overlapped themselves to form complex diagrams, it was quite strange, rather than the circles being drawn inside the crystal it looked like the crystal grew over the circles.
Jordan bit the tip of his finger, with his fang-like teeth, and a black drop of blood appeared and slowly fell on the crystal, the crystal shined for a while, and then a hologram of the book appeared before the goblin, the goblin read through it and then began to speak.
Goblin "you are both fortunate and unfortunate, first there are three ranks of demons and angels, they are low-rank mid-rank and upper rank, those three ranks are also all divided to the low, mid and upper part, as for you, you are a pureblood demon in the upper part of middle rank that´s the good news"

Jordan thought ´that's kind of wrong… I will get abilities to enhance my body if I continue to strengthen my mana organ? And why is he dissing my species so much?´
The goblin without even stopping continued to spit out his lines just to be over with it "ranks of the body are measured by how many times can you control strength beyond the mass of your body if you can generate enough power to move an object of your mass around without any problems your body is in the first rank if you can generate enough strength to move an object of double the times of your mass your body is in the second rank and so on, fifth rank and more is where the amount increase but you don't have to stress yourself with this as for your current rank… " the goblin looks in the hologram book and flips few pages "you are close to the third rank"
Goblin "now for your mana organ, there are many types of organs or techniques to handle magic, there are also orthodox and unorthodox types of magic and that makes it very difficult to measure one's strength of magic and that's why you will meet with grading based on circles."

Goblin "currently you are at the early second circle, as your body isn't fully demonized it will slowly absorb mana from air or food and will stop when your mana organ hits the third circle, after that you need to get some technique that increases one's amount and purity of mana"

Jordan was a bit disappointed even so he couldn't stop smiling, even if he wanted to stop he just couldn't, the goblin roasted his species quite a bit but Jordan wasn't all that worried. ´well… he said there are few pieces of information and there is even chance that I will be able to transform so I guess it isn't so bad but to what will I transform? Some super demon?´
Just as answers the visit to the moon gave Jordan lots of questions.
Now with the identification done Jordan was left on the platform without any further information about what´s the procedure but what can you expect from the demon army, they wouldn´t babysit anybody.
Jordan weighed his bag with crystals and thought about what he currently needs the most ´it should be probably manpower, if I can get someone to take care of the menial tasks such as giving water to the beasts, reappearing the wall around the plaza, and so on I could focus more on other things so I should buy some intelligent monsters or at least look for some"
With this decided Jordan went for the space gate to the world of Quanto that the catalog described as "monsters till 5th rank with relatively good intelligence and a low prize!! Quantity over quality!!" it was a very bad advertisement, but Jordan didn't need geniuses for his tasks and cheap price is very sweet for Jordan.
Jordan neared the space gate and looked inside it, he could see some hall and walls made of rock that was covered with rags, with previous experiences Jordan confidently stepped through and looked around, he found the table where another goblin sat, this one was extremely bored and looked ready to die, Jordan went to him.
"159053," said the goblin in demon language and gave Jordan a token with the said number.
Jordan took the number and went through the only door that was there hoping that he is on the right way, Jordan entered another room where many crystals were stationed, above the crystals, there were numbers such as 0-10 000 and 10 001 -20 000, Jordan easily found his number and looked around, there were others such as him and they just put their hand on the crystal and then vanished, Jordan imitated them and also put his hand on the crystal.
From the stone castle Jordan teleported to a huge tent made from leather, second thing that Jordan noticed was the smell, it was like a pig farm but much worse, the smell of feces attacked his enhanced senses.
Jordan controlled himself and tried to not mind it and went outside the tent, when he got outside there was a group of several demons talking to another goblin that was tattooed with various runs, the goblin also had a staff that had a big purple crystal at its tip.
Jordan "hello, I am looking for subordinates"
Goblin "yes yes, you came just in time we are going on a little tour around the camp to show you around and introduce to you our merchandise," said the goblin with a sleazy smile.
Jordan just nodded and looked around, there were many tents and many types of goblins, there were goblins that were tall nearly three-meter and they had huge bellies fat beyond reason, there were also some that were tall as Jordan and looked like professional bodybuilders if not for their ugly faces.
And there were also goblins that weren't even a meter tall, those had malnourished bodies, arms thin as sticks of wood, and yet ferocious expressions that looked unyielding, crazy, and broken at the same time.
Here and there were different types but Jordan didn't have time to look at them as their group started to move and all the demons went on tour around the goblin camp.
