Chapter 173: [Chapter 171] This Is Bull

I stare at the screen in awe before a look of anger appears.

"Damn system! Why in the hell did you give me such a fucking mission! I practically have to declare war on every kingdom to get this done!" I yell as the mountains seemingly shake. Several avalanches occur as a furious voice echoes from the mountains.

The Author laughs at me, "That mission does seem quite difficult, doesn't it?"

I look over at him, my eyes burning with anger and disbelief, "Yes!"

He waves his hands, "Calm down, read over it again."

I take a deep breath as I try to calm myself, bringing my anger down a bit as I hear a slightly scared voice.

"Please don't do that without warning again, it scared me." Sky says innocently, her voice slightly trembling.

I realize that I still have yet to break my mental link as I quickly apologize. She accepts it with a cutesy voice as I disconnect the mental connection before reading over the mission again. I look over at him as I quickly realize what he meant.

"It says fight, not defeat. Which means all I have to do is a simple spar...but still, it would be easier to fight armies than spar, plus, it's much quicker." I say as I point out the one annoying thing, time.

'And it irritates me that they don't include past fights.' I inwardly complain.

He nods, "That is true, but do you really want to declare war on multiple nations? Do you want to risk hurting those around you just to pass this mission? You actually would still be the youngest mortal to become a demi-god if you took 1,000 years."

I look over at him in shock, "How strong does your will have to be to become a demi-god like holy fuck?"

He shrugs, "I am the oldest and that was so long ago my memories of it are gone. So I couldn't even tell you my age if I wanted to, but your will has to be strong enough to crush worlds if I had to guess."

I stare at him in awe before shaking my head, "I have to think about this with my family and friends, please give me time."

He nods, causing me to notice he doesn't move much when responding, "Alright, I will contact you using your runestone."

I nod as I take out my white stone, holding it out to him as it's red rune glows with life. He takes a crimson stone out as he decides to explain why he has one to me, "I had to actually get one of these a few years ago because of magic worlds using a majority of these to communicate."

He touches his runestone to mine as a book like rune engraved itself to my stone. Before I can ask anything, he takes a few steps back as he salutes at me. "Bye!"

"Wa-" before I can even finish my word, he jumps into a portal beneath him, the crimson oval shattering before my eyes after he disappears within.

I stand there for a few moments before turning around and running back towards Hana, it's large size noticeable at even this distance. After a few minutes, I arrive and am back as my semi-human Dragonborn form. On my way here, I had transformed back to my usual form and had taken off the fighting suit.

As I look across the happy people and the houses being built, I see a shadow knight running across the wall. I gaze at him curiously as I wait, his head facing directly at me as he runs which signifies that I am needed. As he arrives at my side, he calmly points to the other side of the wall, specifically at the gate.

I am inwardly shocked as I look over the armored knight, 'I know they can't run out of stamina but damn! These guys are athletes!' To run across the wall the second I arrive from one side to the other is more than impressive.

I open my wings as I fly towards the gate, his motion the only action required to know what he wants. As I soar through the air, I see as kids are playing, and some adults wave at me. I wave back down as I increase my speed, reaching the other end in a few seconds.

As I land on the wall, my gaze is immediately drawn to the large train of carts sitting outside. I look down and see a semi-human Dragonborn dressed in formal attire, the crest of the fang kingdom resting on her chest as she patiently waits. The massive train of carts is being guarded by an even larger amount of guards, making me wonder how they navigated through the mountains. From the height I am at, it would usually be hard to see them clearly, but not for me.

The green Dragonborn looks up, to see me peering down, causing her to clear her throat and yell upwards at me, "Would you please be willing to open the gates?! A meeting was requested by your king!"

I smile as I pull the lever to my left, the large gate opening loudly as the chains clank against eachother. During the two days I have been waiting, I had added gates to all four gateways.

'In all honesty, I had forgotten about my meeting with the king today from everything that has been going on. From finally meeting The Author, to destroying an entire plain in a fight with a demi-god.'

When the gate opens, the carts enter single file, each one well guarded as I assume the insiders gaze at the contents of our kingdom. Some probably scoff while others gaze in amazement, either way, "This is going to be rough."
