Chapter 220: [Chapter 218] Never Entering That Tent Again
I gently pick up the scaled egg from the rack, a wet mucus suddenly growing from it, covering it's surface. I gawk at it as I remember a tale from my previous life, 'A religion had been born from these in my past life, saying that you would be reincarnated into one of these and become a guardian of the seas. They got the reincarnation part right at least…'
I gently cradle the Mishipeshu egg as I walk around the tent, gazing at the shelves of stuff as I make small talk.
"So how do you move your tent around so easily? It must be a hassle to take it all down and move the items about."
He shrugs as he speaks in a curious tone, "It's easier than you think."
I suddenly stop at one shelf as I look over the items, but finding nothing of interest…except a certain sword.
I pick it up with one hand as I look it over. It's shaped as a double edged sword with a coin in the hilt. I cast inspect on it and about lose my breath, seeing something I haven't seen before.

A sword of unique make, named the sword of luck, you must be in the right place at the right time to find it. However, it has a mystic aura around it, as if able to seemingly do anything.

I grip the blade as I walk over to the counter, "What is this thing?"
I gently place the sword on the counter as he inspect's it, his eyes going wide for a moment as he picks it up, "That shouldn't be here…"
He gently placed it behind the counter as he looks up, "Sorry, that isn't for sale. Wrong place."
I squint as I shake my head, "Now hold on, why was it on the shelf if it wasn't for sale?"
He shrugs, "Your guess is as good as mine….anyway, looking for anything else?"
I stare at him for a moment before sighing, seemingly giving up, "Yeah, I was looking for a storage ring and…maybe a few jewels and precious metals, got any?"
He rubs his chin for a moment before nodding, "Wait a moment, I gotta check my storage."
He ducks underneath his counter and a few moments later, comes up with all types of jewelry and materials, "Okay so I have what you were looking for, but the storage rings are highly priced due to their rarity of jewels."
I nod as I calmly look at the gems, but all the air leaves my lungs when my eyes see one of them, a red ring with a lavender colored gem embedded within. I can barely contain my awe as I pick up the ring, crimson phoenix claws holding the purplish white gem.
I immediately look over as I ask, "How much?"
I have found many pure white gems, mainly when fighting Mayonaka, the vine raptor queen. She had large white gems growing on her back, but they were confiscated by the kingdom before he could get any.
'Speaking of…I need to visit Restard, it's going to be Elanor's 13th birthday soon.' I remind myself as I gaze at the kobold anxiously. He rubs his chin, "Hmmmm, 25 platinum coins. The egg is 20 platinum coins, and the gems and jewels are 1 platinum each." I think for a moment before coming to a shock and I ask him a question without even thinking.
"This egg costs only this much, how powerful is the creature inside supposed to be?" He doesn't even hesitate before answering, shocking me yet again.
"At least S rank, at most, a Continental class creature."
At this point, it would be explainable for if I had a heart attack from all the shocks I have had, and I have to resist taking this egg myself, but I am afraid that Slime Winter and Blossom would be bullied by this thing.
I nod as I slowly open my pouch, pulling out the platinum coins. Over the past few years, I have sold a lot of gear, saving up to a total of over 300 platinum coins, equivalent to 3000 gold coins, or 30000 silver coins.
I count out 45 platinum coins handing each one to him in hand fulls, but as I hand him the last one, I graze his hand as I think, 'Identify.'
But for the first time, not even a box pops up. He frowns at me as he asks, "Please refrain from casting magic spells in here, it's very rude."
I stare at him in shock as I quickly equip a poker face, "Sorry, I kinda did it on accident."
But inwardly, I'm freaking out, 'How did he know I cast identify? Does the system use a spell to use identify? And if so, does that mean that it is magic and not technology? But then if it's magic instead of technology…could it be a possible curse?' I feel woozy as tons of questions flood my mind.
The tent kobold waves it off, "It's fine then, don't do it again though."
I numbly nod as one thought enters my mind, 'I need to get out of here.'
I don't even look as I immediately shout, "I'll buy all of it, how much?" I point my finger at the pile of gems and metals as I equip the storage ring, its beautiful figure sliding onto my finger perfectly.
I store the egg inside it's monumental space, the size inside comparable to a mountain. The kobolds eyes go wide as a smile grows on his face, an excited demeanor taking over, "That will be 32 platinum please."
I quickly count it out, slam it on the counter, store the materials, and bolt without a second thought. I disappear from the shop as he smiles happily, counting the money he just made as he comments on my speed.
"Youngsters, always rushing to get places."
I stand on the crowded roads as I feel as if the weight of the heavens has lifted from my shoulders, 'Never going in that tent again unless I absolutely have to. Never!'
And then, after I calmed down, I slowly walked towards the castle, trying to figure more out about the system as I begin to question, what is it really?
