Chapter 1: Prologue - The Person known as Darius #1
Darius was outside playing basketball, as he realized it was getting late, he began running home. Afterall he was spending too much time with his friends at the basketball court, he was with his friends and classmates as they were training for a street tournament, which would begin this weekend.
Darius Roman was an athlete as well as a geek, love to read stories, manga & watching anime. When working out, he did everything from martial arts to simple body exercises. His favorite without a doubt would the various martial arts, that taught and specialized in a subject, like a jiu-jitsu with their submissions, judo with their throws and falls, etc.
They gave the feeling of purpose, the feeling of getting better, and help with protecting those, who couldn't protect themselves.
Darius Roman is living with his uncle and aunt, who are a kind and warm couple, that are taking care of him after the passing of his parents in a mugging gone wrong. Darius Roman is showing himself above average in looks, intelligence, and physical capabilities with the training, studying and care, he showed for himself to prove to his parents in heaven, that he is a son, they can be proud of.
As he was running home, he saw something in one of the alleyways, that caught his eyes. He walked back, to see one of his childhood friends being beaten up and robbed. He stared in shock, as the six men were laughing at their target´s misery and despair.
Darius: "Get off him, Allan, you alright?"
Thug 1: "Hey kid, since you are already here, leave your wallet and get on your knees, while I am being nice"
Thug 2: "I don't think he heard you, hey you little shit, get on you´re knees and give us your wallet now!"
Allan: "Darius get away from here, I can deal with my issues, you aren't needed"
Darius: "Relax Allan, I will deal with them and get you to a hospital"
Thug 1 and 2 stopped looking at the newcomer Darius and began walking towards Darius, looking for weak spots to hit. But Thug 2 in his impatience throws a lot of quick punches while roaring "Just do as we ask and we won't hurt you so much, you little shit".
Darius weaved through the punches with ease, before giving a front kick to the balls which connected and Thug 2 crashed on his knees, crying in pain, without a chance to shout before getting a roundhouse kick to the head, laying knocked out cold on the floor.
The five other thugs looked in shock, while Allan cried tears of joy, believing he will be saved without a doubt. Thug 1 looked to the others, yelling
"Do you guys wanna help or should I wait till your ready, huh?"
Thug 3, 4, 5 & 6 yelled at the same time
"We´re coming now"
As they began coming, they showed off their knives and pipes, slowly creeping in, trying to stab or strike him with their weapons. Darius looked around and found a garbage can and throwing it at the thugs while keeping the lid as a shield and weapon.
Thug 4 got it in the head by the garbage can before falling unconscious landing on Thug 3 while getting stabbed in the by accident. Now laying on the floor bleeding. Thug 3 staring in shock at the freak accident, beginning to become angry but not getting a chance as Thug 3 got knocked out with the lid by Darius.
Darius was staying focused while keeping his eyes on all six of the thugs, waiting for the moment, the next one made a move against him or Allan.
Thug 5 & 6 looked at each other before attacking at the same time, which made Darius smile as he took a step back to avoid the pipe from Thug 6, before using the lid to smack the pipe towards Thug 5, who wasn't ready and got smacked over the arms as he protected himself.
Everyone hearing the loud crack and seeing Thug 5´s arms bend the wrong way, made everyone still conscious gasp.
Darius felt the cold sweat run down his neck, while swiftly bashing the garbage lid into the head of Thug 6, who was in shock while gawking at the now unconscious Thug 5.
Thug 1 couldn't believe his eyes as he stared upon every single guy in his crew beaten to the ground, the hate started to rise in his chest as he looked upon the boy, who had ruined his fun.
Darius glanced at the bodies on the floor as he was sneaking towards his friend as fast as possible while smirking at Thug 1, who was the same age as Darius and Allan, while the knocked out Thugs were in their twenties made the situation kinda weird as Darius thought about what reason, they could have to listen to him.
When Thug 1 saw his confident smirk, he began screaming, he will have his revenge and ran home.
Darius stared in the direction of the coward, who abandoned his comrades. He slowly jogged to Allan, checking up on his condition before calling the police, asking for a few ambulances as there are people, who are hurt and need to be checked in a hospital.
Meanwhile, Thug 1 was complaining about being bullied and he wanted the guy dead. The father believing his son hired some of the cops to eliminate the boy. Thug 1 laughed in joy as he told the location, where Darius was last seen.
Darius was waiting with Allan, talking about what happened when Darius remembered he hadn't called his parents, as they were the ones, who raised him. While calling them, he noticed some police officers, but they were already armed, prowling, and looking suspicious causing Darius to skulk towards Allan and telling him, what he saw.
Allan being worried asked
"who do you think they are looking for ?"
Darius looked him in the eyes and calmly informed him "we are the only ones still out, I want you to get out of the alley."
Allan stared shocked and his eyes, started getting clouded as tears began streaming down his cheeks, but Darius glared at him & warned
"I need you to film what's about to happen, stay safe, and be quiet, while you are hiding, alright."
As Allan left the alley with tears and snot running down his face, Darius looked up in the skies, wondering whether what he did was the right thing as he didn't want the problems following his family, so he played smart and turned on a microphone on his phone and hit himself a couple of times and changed clothes with one of the thugs, before playing dead hoping the officers wouldn't notice till he was sure of their motive.
As he was lying upon the floor, keeping his breath as still as possible, staying as calm as water. While trying to hear the officer's discussion, hearing the second officer yell
"Goddammit, he left already, what are we going to do now? Am I talking to a wall Wallace?"
Wallace groaned at his partner's insolence and said
" Can you be quiet for a moment like just this once, be quiet and sit in the corner or check on the kids lying around."
