Chapter 61: Still Lost

''I'm outside,'' her voice is cold and straight to the point. 

Darrien stands up from the couch as I end the call. This is her house; all she has to do is come in. Why isn't she coming in? 

''What's the plan?'' he asks excitedly. 

This is not fun and games, I don't blame him because this is the type of person Darrien is. He wants action, adventure in his life and this is pretty adventurous to me. All I can think about is not messing things up. I have to make sure things go alright because this is the only chance I have. 

''Wait here,'' I point to David and Joanne ''Keep an eye on them until I get back.'' he groans and I know it is because he wants to be outside, where the action is but I can't leave Maddie's parents alone. I need someone to watch them, in case Maddie is up to something.
