Chapter 3: Summoning System Functions

It'd been a few hours since the 'feast', and I got curious about something.

'So, System... are there any other functions, or is just summoning it?' I asked the System, curiously.

[There are certainly a few more functions that you have not been informed of, such as Fusion, Self-Fusion, Lucky Draw, Quests, Contract, Mutation, and Crafting] The System told me, as emotionlessly, as it had been previously.

'Okay... what does each function do?' I asked.

[Fusion allows The Host to fuse two summons, items, or abilities together, making a stronger version of the previous summon, item or ability.] The System told me.

'Okay, that seems pretty useful, especially if I get a few trash-tiers in a row, I could at least get something pretty good out of it' I thought to myself.

[Self-Fusion allows The Host to temporarily fuse a summon, and only a summon with The Host. The stronger The Host is than the summon, the longer it lasts] The System told me.

'That also seems pretty useful... especially if I'm weaker than any enemy I face' I thought to myself, a smirk forming on my face.

[Lucky Draw is a daily roulette for [0-1 Star] Summons, Abilities and Items. There are higher-tiered versions that are only unlocked after completing a Quest] The System told me.

'[0 Star]? There's something worse than a [1 Star]? System, could you explain, in detail the... power level of each [Star]? And how many there are, please?' I asked politely, never hurts to be polite to the thing granting you powers.

[Certainly, Host. There is the [0 Star], which is deemed as Trash Level, to put it in One Piece terms... Coby could probably beat something of this level. [1 Star] is the Common Level, they're... average, the summons from this level are about as strong as the average pirate/marine. Surprisingly, there's a Devil Fruit in this [Star]. Anyways, [2 Star] is the Uncommon Level, this is where most of the good stuff, like below-average Devil Fruits, start to come in, Tai Lung and The Dove-Dove Fruit are from this level, these are the things that most of the Blues Captains have. [3 Star] is the Rare Level, where stuff starts to get good, the average Devil Fruits are usually in this level alongside some great early-to-mid-game Summons, these are the ones that most low-tier Captains on the Grand Line have, Luffy's Gum Gum Fruit is in this level. You're really lucky to have gotten three [3 Stars] from your Beginners Kit. [4 Star] is the Epic Level, this is where stuff like the weaker Logias and Ancient Zone Devil Fruits come in, these would mostly be used by either Vice Admirals or mid-to-high tier Grand Line Pirate Captains. [5 Star] is the Legendary Level, this is where the truly overpowered stuff comes in, the Quake Quake Fruit is here, alongside most of the Elemental Logias and the Mythical Zoans, alongside the very powerful Summons, Items and Abilities.] The System told me.

'Jesus! That's a lot to take in... how did I get that lucky to get three [3 Stars]? Actually... quick question, what's the [1 Star] Devil Fruit?' I asked curiously, wanting to know what the weakest Devil Fruit was.

[The Jacket Jacket Fruit] The System deadpanned.

'Okay, yeah... alright. That makes sense... anyway, could you continue on from where you left off?' I asked.

[Certainly. Quests are, well quests that The System creates for The Host with rewards, varying wildly from a simple [0 Star] Stick, to a [5 Star] [Lucky Draw Ticket], allowing The Host to do a draw from the [5 Star] [Lucky Draw], the quests could vary from finding a stick to slaying Whitebeard, Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Sengoku and Kaido in a single punch] The System told me.

'Okay... wait, are there any penalties to refusing a quest?' I asked.

[There are no penalties for refusing a quest, but there are penalties for failing the quests The Host accepts] The System told me.

'What sort of penalties? Are any of them... death?' I asked.

[No. The Host cannot be killed by The System, the penalties for failing are only a way to motivate The Host to succeed] The System told me.

'Oh... good. Uh, carry on... please' I said to The System.

[Certainly, Host. The next function is Contract. This function allows The Host to form Contracts with any human, beast, or other to become your Summon] The System told me.

'Are there any... caveats, like... if the person I Contract is too strong, do I fail?' I asked, slightly worried.

[No. But, the person that The Host Contracts, must first know the terms of The Contract and be fully willing to do so] The System told me.

'Wait, they just have to be willing? What if they're drunk... or brainwashed?' I asked, wanting a bit of clarification.

[Then they are still Contracted, they must simply be willing and know the terms of The Contract] The System told me.

'Okay... neat, so I could get someone drunk enough or hypnotize them to form a Contract with me... that's useful to know' I thought to myself.

[The next function is called Mutation. It mutates any Summon, Item or Ability The Host chooses into a stronger form, but it takes time. For example, if The Host sets it to Mutate for 1000 Years, it will take 1000 Hours] The System told me.

'Okay... that seems really useful, especially if I have a weak or trash Summon and don't want to waste anything on it, I could just Mutate it... wait, how many Mutations can I do at a time?' I asked The System.

[The Host can do up-to 3 Mutations at the same time, at this moment. The stronger The Host gets, the more The Host can do] The System told me.

'Alright... good... carry on' I told The System.

[The final function is Crafting. It allows The Host to Craft any item they want, as long as The Host has enough craftable items at hand] The System told me.

'Alright... that sounds pretty useful... thank you Summoning System, for your help' I thanked The System.

[You are welcome, Host. Now, would you like to pull your first Lucky Draw? Since it is your first time, you get Five Draws] The System told me.

'Oh, what the hell... okay' I thought to myself.

A screen came up, showing two options. [Draw] and [Draw All]

I chose the [Draw All] option, obviously.

I got...

Yite Yite

And that's it for today. Leaving it on a bit of a cliffhanger, sorry about that but I wanted a quick way to start the next chapter without spending days mulling over it, like I did for this chapter.
