Chapter 7: Maid Work
"Wake up Amara!" Mei repeatedly said. Amara responded " What?" Mei replied "It's my first day of work. My first job is to wake you up. It's already 10am. Your brother is waiting for you in the dining area." Amara said " Okay. Okay. Give me some time to refreshen up."
When Amara sat down in the dining table to eat breakfast, Alex whispered "Amara, we have a problem." Amara curiously asked "What is it?" Her brother anxiously said "Mom and dad wants Mei out of the house by the end of the day. I've already explained to them the reason why she's staying here but they just won't agree." Amara said "What?! How did they even know she's here?" Alex replied "Well I told them about it and we also can't keep secrets from them you know." Amara sighed and responded "It's okay. I'll talk to them later."
After breakfast, Amara went to her parent's room and asked them about the matter. Her father said "Amara, she is an outsider. Who knows if she's lying?" Amara calmly said "If she is lying, I will take full responsibility. If you don't let her stay, I'll just leave with her." Her father yelled "Amara don't try to threaten us! We are your parents!" Amara's mother suggested " Instead of arguing, why don't we just let Mei stay? She's just a little girl and we have so many guards to protect us." In the end, Amara's parents the Marquess and Marchioness allowed Mei to stay.
