Chapter 104: Zephyr
Rabin laughed. "I was trying to be kind by sparing their life but since you don't appreciate my kindness I don't mind burying you right here along with the rest of your sons."
Shiryu looked at Rabin and Whitebeard and then looked at Jozu. "I really wanted to see if my sword can cut a diamond or not but I never had the chance to test it out until now."
Shiryu drew his sword and walked towards Jozu. Jozu turned his body into a diamond and he also slowly started walking towards Shiryu.
Felix looked at Marco. "I have the powers to control the birds so I want to see if I can control the Phoenix or not."
Ace didn't want to fight against the Thunder Pirates because Rabin had saved Luffy's life multiple times, but he was obviously going to choose Whitebeard if the fight ever broke out between them.
The tension between Rabin and Whitebeard was at its peak. Dragon didn't want the two of them to fight so he was about to intervene and stop them but just as he was about to step in to stop them, space near them started to crack.
The crack got bigger and bigger and in the next couple of seconds three people came out from the crack in the space.
One of them was Ryu Morgan who Rabin had left under the sea for him to drown and die.
Whitebeard and Rabin both looked towards the three people that just arrived on the battlefield. Rabin was surprised to see Ryu there.
"I left you at the bottom of the sea to drown after I beat your ass but looks like you came back to get your ass kicked again."
Ryu glared at Rabin. "You nearly killed me back then but you see the two elders over here didn't want me to die so they saved me. So now I am going to get my revenge."
Around the same place as Whitebeard just came, the rocks in that area started to melt. And from between those molten rocks, Akainu slowly stood up. In the general area, a huge Gorilla appeared from beneath the rocks and scattered the rocks everywhere. The Gorilla looked towards the sky and roared loudly while beating his chest.
Garp looked at the Gorilla and let out a sigh "Looks like Kong is getting serious."
Kong was about to attack Whitebeard but he saw Rabin and Dragon near Whitebeard and decided against it. He clicked his tongue and turned back into his human form. Kong and Akainu both walked towards the three elders that were near the Pirates.
Allan saw the three elders appearing on the battlefield and laughed. "Things are now getting interesting. Let's go Kizaru."
Kizaru nodded his head and followed Allan to the battlefield.
Aokiji also came out of his Ice sphere and started walking towards the three elders. On the way, he saw Zephyr who was slightly injured just lying on the ground without moving. He went close to Zephyr and stood next to him. Zephyr didn't react he just kept staring at the sky above.
"Zephyr sensei, why are you just lying there without doing anything, get up."
Z slowly looked at Aokiji. "Kuzan, what does it mean to be a hero? What is the true meaning of justice?"
As soon as he heard that Aokiji knew Z was not in the right state of mind and was currently very vulnerable. He also knew that if Z didn't fight then the chances of them winning this battle would drop by a lot.
Z continued. "Look around us countless Marine soldiers have died and I was not able to save them. I think Rabin was right when he said I am not the hero I wanted to be. I also long knew that Marines are not as good as they seem to be but I kept lying to myself saying that they are at least better than those Pirates.
"But when Rabin asked me if I thought what Celestial Dragons are doing is fair I couldn't lie to myself anymore. I began to question myself what happened to the hero inside of me what happened to my justice."
"I decided to leave the Marines but before I left I wanted to see the truth about the celestial dragon by my own eyes, the truth that I had been ignoring for many years. So I went to the Holy land of Marie Geois.
"And I saw what I thought I would see. There are bastards who are completely detached from reality. They are scum among the scum. They think that the life of people is worthless. All the rumors and the accusation about them are true.
"After seeing the truth for myself I decided to leave the Marines and start my own group that would go against both Pirates and Celestial Dragon but before I left decided to take this opportunity to kill as many Pirates as possible. But I didn't expect those bastards would sacrifice the lives of countless innocent marines to kill few Pirates."
Z slowly stood up and started to walk away.
"Sensei, where are you going?"
"To carry out my own justice, and don't try to stop me Kuzan. I promise it won't end nicely for you guys."
Aokiji didn't know what to say or what to do. He couldn't do anything except standing there and looking at the leaving figure of Z.
