Chapter 1: Prologue
You must be here for the secret to transmigration. Don't worry. Like you, I also lived a life full of mediocrity and boredom. I wanted to be a serial killer, the vigilante kind of one, but I didn't want to end up in jail or on death row. So, all I could do was take a 9 to 5 job and live out my life like clockwork.
Just kidding. It was just another of my fantasies after watching an awesome movie. Who doesn't have some? Slowly but surely, I was becoming tired of my mediocre life. Hailed as smart throughout my life, when I snapped out of my fantasies of grandeur, I found myself just like everyone else around me, just with a more bloated paycheck. Though I knew it was not possible. But sometimes when I closed my eyes, I just wished that when I opened them again I was not in my room. In a different world, in a different time, where every day was exciting.
One day, out of nowhere, someone threw a wrench into the machine which was supposed to perform one simple task throughout its life : me and I transmigrated. Yes. I don't know how I soul-traveled. I went to sleep at the same time as I usually do but when I woke up I was already here. Moral of the story: Don't stay up late at night and you may have a chance to painlessly travel without the help of trucks or untimely deaths. I am serious.
