Jing Sheng knew that this was going to happen it was all part of his plan.

Before the will could say anything, Jing Sheng handed out eleven more gu recipes. These were all rank 6 belonging to this strange path.
"None of these gu have been refined yet…. Consider these recipes as my sincerity you can consider the time and place; we should meet o great Venerable" Jing Sheng said in a fast manner which made him sound like what you may call "mechanical".
He was excited.
He could not wait any longer for what he was about to do.
When Jing Sheng came to this world, he wowed to sought out strength, as strength could assure no one interfering with his work as it happened in its previous life.
But this world was about to enter a new stage….A new era
The Grand Era
Where it was said that the Great Dream Immortal Venerable would come, the strongest of all Venerable.
But Jing Sheng already knew that Fang Yuan would fuck up Fate Gu's plan by destroying it. He still didn't know why Thieving Heaven bothered to give him all this information but still this was useful information.
Taking in account that Fate Gu would be destroy and it is likely that the Venerable will revive and re birth Jing Sheng had to create a strategy and a plan in which with all these hurdles he could achieve his goal.
It had to be one master plan and no matter what it had to work because the world knew Fang Yuan could rebirth and change the past as he may please but Jing Sheng only had one shot at this plan.
It was obvious that he could not become Venerable in such a short time and of course other Venerable will not just stand by while another player joined them in their game in which the Gu world was just a board for them to play and the residence of the gu world, just pawns.
They would eliminate Jing Sheng even before he became anything more than a pawn.
So, becoming a Venerable was out of the scene.
Did Jing Sheng care?
Of course not, he didn't give a damn he had no interest in becoming a Venerable, to him it was only a means to his goal.
He came up with a plan where he would get the power of the Venerable himself without becoming a Venerable.
An Alliance? Don't make me laugh he wouldn't do something this stupid.
His goal was something absolute, unlike an alliance which could be broken.
