Chapter 30: My Prince
In a different part of the city... in an inconspicuous location, a man was seen nursing his wounds.
"So you've found her?" another man whose face was half covered by a golden mask asked.
"Yes, my prince" a hint of fear could be detected from his face but was immediately gone in the blink of an eye as if it never even happened.
"Is she as powerful as she once was?"
The subordinate was obviously hurt from the one kick he received earlier that day "No my prince... she is in the awakening stages. Her progress will continue to increase by leaps and bounds, it will only be a matter of time before she is back to her full capabilities"
Even at her lowest strength, his queen was still able to hurt him. She was definitely one of a kind.
" I see... Does she remember?" He says hesitantly.
"No my prince... I am sure she will reach out to us soon for answers. Our queen was always a straight forward and no nonsense woman." he says, adulation could be heard in his voice.
"Yes and extremely stubborn. I'm happy we found her this time. I did not think that I would ever see her again in my lifetime. I fear that she is the only one who can save our Kingdom" The prince said with a little sadness.
"But will she agree? She has sacrificed so much already"
"We must convince her to return with us at all costs" the prince says as he tightens his grip on the chair. The arm of the chair was pulverized into powder within seconds.
At the Li Corporation, in the board room, all of the shareholders were sitting and discussing the unhappy events concerning CEO Lu Han. There was a lot of fear and anxiety going around. Which was making everyone on edge.
They weren't sure where the company was heading and what awaited them. It's very understandable as most of these men have been with the company for many years and have invested a lot of their time, energy and money. Seeing it in ruins is the last thing that any of them would want.
Obviously they had trusted the wrong person, and it really was not their fault, but they still felt guiIt in the depth of their hearts. To think that they allowed such an evil person to be their CEO was a slap to their faces. Some of these men were good friends with the Li family, and they were even helped out by the patriarch on some occasions. They owed him their loyalty and to help uphold his legacy.
Yet they praised and supported such a man to office. The man who killed the entire Li Family. What kind of person did that?!
But with no surviving members and the way CEO Lu had handled the company, left all of them with their hands tied. The majority shareholder was an outsider. What was going to happen? Will this new leader be a tyrant? that was one of the many questions that was swimming in their minds.
A loud commotion could be heard outside, it was the sounds of many footsteps coming their way. The board room became silent and tense.
A handsome and domineering man started walking in. Everyone's jaws dropped as soon as they laid eyes on him. It was none other than Su Kai, the biggest business mogul in this side of the world. Everyone knew that he had the Midas touch, everything he had his hands on would become a success. They were so excited and elated to know that he was on board that everyone was just about groveling to make Su Kai comfortable.
"CEO Su this is a pleasant surprise! We are so honored to have you as our main shareholder!" An old man said.
"I am not..." Su Kai said patiently, which baffled the rest of the people in the room.
What did he mean by that statement?
As everyone was pondering over that, another person walked in.
Liu Wei leisurely strolled in looking like a goddess in her 3 piece suit. Seriously, she can make even a mans outfit look good on her. Su Kai just could not take his eyes off of her, he gets up and pulls the chair next to him out and she gladly sits down and winks at him.
This of course was done on the sly and only the both of them were privy to. A small smile could be seen emerging from his mouth.
"She is your majority share holder, I am second to her. " He tells everyone as he sits back down and nonchalantly looks in her direction beckoning her to speak.
"Gentlemen my name is Liu Wei, I am honored and happy to be here. I knew the Li family from a long time ago and was saddened to hear of the tragedy that had befallen them. As I was especially close with the young miss of the Li family I felt it my responsibility to carryon their legacy. I know the direction that the Li family wanted this company to go towards and I am here to fulfill those goals. All l ask from you is your support and guidance through this endeavor." She said passionately.
"Are you not already part of the Liu Corporation?" One shareholder asked.
"Yes, but that is my brother's and father's company. This will be my own." She said with confidence.
In the following hour she laid out her grand plan with charts and back up documentation explaining her vision. It was a brilliant plan and everyone did not have any rebuttals against it. They also noted that CEO Su was paying particular attention to this lady.
There was not a peep of any objection coming from him. Which spoke volumes as he was quite known to be very vocal during meetings.
"Gentlemen do you have any questions?" Liu Wei was a bit on tenterhooks because she was afraid they would not like her proposal. She knew most of these men and they were all kind hearted individuals. But she still was worried that they would be defensive towards a new person coming after the train wreck they had experienced with Lu Han.
To her surprise they were all on board. But she did notice that they were also eyeing Su Kai. I guess allowing him to keep a percentage of the shares was a good idea, she thought.
