Chapter 32: Tabloids
The next morning the tabloids posted pictures and articles about the two of them.
There were many Headlines saying "Power Couple of the Decade ", "The Sensational Rich Couple" and the best one of them all "The Future Madam of the Su Industries" And many more.
Women who wanted to be Mrs Su were livid and angry at reading the news. They saw how beautiful Liu Wei was and they were jealous with envy.
In a beautiful mansion Tang Ning just woke up and was getting ready to start her day. Her phone dings, so she grabs it to find a text message from one of her friends.
"Did you see the news?"
"What news?, I just got dressed... What has happened?"
Tang Ning was very much into gossip and liked to hear about other people's dirty laundry. She's the type that is okay that life sh*ts on you just as long as it's not her. She loves to hear about the latest scandals and then gossiping about them at parties.
The more ruinous the scandal the better.
She was getting more excited, just thinking about it as she waited for her friends reply.
"Ummm I think you should look at the news, here's the link."
Tang Ning clicked on it and the first thing she see's was a picture of Su Kai smiling warmly at Liu Wei and then her eyes moved over to the title. It read "Is this the Future Mrs. Su?"
An ear splitting scream came out of her mouth and she threw her phone on the floor.
"Who does she thinks she is? He is mine!!! How dare that slut get in my way?!!!" Tang Ning was sprawled across her bed throwing her fists at the pillow and shouting at the top of her lungs.
This was what the servants saw when they arrived in her room after hearing her scream.
They all thought that she had perhaps fallen and hurt herself or something along those lines. They never would have thought that she would be rolling around screaming and punching her things which was very unlike her usual self... It was so early in the morning for her to be this worked up.
She's usually so well behaved and at the epitome of a lady. Everyone knew that she was grooming herself to be the wife of Su Kai.
"What's the matter young miss?"
"Leave me alone!!" Tang Ning yelled.
As they were all about to leave she shouts at them to stop.
"Wait!!! go and tell my parents to come here this instant. I need to speak to them"
After about 5 minutes of waiting her parents arrive and see her pacing up and down her room.
"Mother and Father you have to help me!!! Did you see the news about Su Kai?!"
Her father of course already was aware but her mother was not.
"Yes, I have seen it but its probably not true" he says to comfort her.
Although her father did not often dote on her, he still cared about her well being and took great care of her. He provided her with a good amount of allowance and her daily necessities. He was more of an aloof and introverted person and was not very affectionate. But he did care a great deal about his reputation and this was his bottom line.
On the other hand her mother was the typical rich snobby lady who would look down on you if your status and wealth was not on par with hers but grovels at those who are super rich.
"What is this about" Mrs Tang said with her high pitched voice.
"Su Kai has been seen several times with this model slash hussy who is trying to steal my man in broad daylight!! Everyone knows that we are meant to be!!!" She screams.
If people could only see Tang Ning right at this moment they would be shocked to see a completely different person. What she portays to the world is a nice and gentle young lady of means. Someone who is poised and would never rant, shout or throw things. It is definitely a big contrast to her real self.
"Calm down, I have not heard of any marriage talks in the Su Family. We all know that Su Kai's Grandfather will have a say in this. He raised him after all." Mr. Tang said.
"What?!! What slut is trying to take my baby's future husband away? Let me see that picture" Mrs Tang says as she grabs Tang Nings' phone off of the floor.
After seeing the beautiful couple she couldn't help but think that this girl is so much more lovelier than her daughter. Which of course made her scared that Su Kai would fall under her spell.
"Dont worry my sweet child. She is not that capable, besides I will ruin her if she does try to grab a hold of him. I bet she is just after his money. I'm sure that if we threw money at her face she will take a step back!!" Mrs. Tang reassures both her daughter and herself.
"Woman!! don't you do anything stupid and make me look bad. Leave it alone, I will talk to his grandfather and ask him when the two of them would be getting married."
Technically there was no actual agreement between the two families. It was just a wish that the Tangs wanted as they had been family friends since the children were around 5 years old.
That wish turned into hope when Su Kai was not seen dating any woman for a long time. And now that hope became an obsession which all three have convinced themselves and others that Tang Ning will become Mrs. Su.
They never really bothered to check with Su Kai or his family about this, they just assumed that the Su Family felt this way as well. And even though, Su Kai and Tang Ning weren't an item he was always nice to her and paid for her things and dinners whenever they were together.
Of course normal people would find that those actions were just Su Kai being nice and gentlemanly but to them they took it a step further solidifying in their minds that Su Kai was in love with Tang Ning. He just was not very verbal about it, they thought. We can't really blame them as they have had this dream of rising in the ranks for many years now.
"Alright, thank you Father. I will leave it to you then" she says.
Mrs. Tang on the other hand, had other plans as she left her daughters room she was already busy formulating a plan to remove Liu Wei from Su Kai's side.
