Chapter 3: 3
Gray looked up from the table to see Ella walked out of the bathroom, that's when Ella realized that Gray was the reason for all of the loud noise.
"So I had planned to go on a mission today if you want to go with me." Gray offered as he picked up his dishes, Ella finished her breakfast and followed suit.
"Sure that sounds like fun but maybe if we can't find a good enough mission we could just train together or find something else to do." Ella suggested with a soft smile, she had spent the whole night with Gray but she wanted to spend more time with him and make up for all the lost time they had missed between Gray training with Ur and Ella training with Verglas, they would have been reunited sooner if it had not been for the seven years that Gray and the rest of the guild members who had been doing the S class trials; had gone missing.
Gray smiled at his best friend as she finished cleaning up breakfast, he had thought up the idea of going on a mission only because he didn't know how else to spend time with Ella but her idea seemed like it would be better.
"Why don't..." Gray began until a loud knock rang through out Ella's little house, when Ella opened the door there stood Natsu, Erza, Romeo, and Lucy with looks of excitement and what Natsu said next had Ella and Gray looking at each other grinning.
"We were going to the water park and wanted to know if you wanted to go with us" Ella smiled at Natsu with a look of excitement.
"I'd love to go, I just have to get a few things together first, if you guys want to come in and wait for me." She said as everyone piled into her little house.
The water park wasn't huge but it wasn't small either. Upon entering through the gate; Lucy practically dragged Ella into the dressing room, Ella stepped into the stall to change and when she stepped out; Lucy and Erza had both complimented her on how nice she looked in her black and purple bikini; Lucy also commented on how ironic it was for Ella's swimsuit to have little blue snowflakes scattered all over it. When the girls walked out of the dressing room, all eyes were on Ella but the only person Ella was paying any attention to was Gray; who was watching her with a blush covering his cheeks. Ella soon grew uncomfortable with everyone staring at her in her swimsuit so she got a running start and jumped into the pool, Gray watched Ella run off but was startled when Lucy elbowed him before she also ran and jumped into the pool. Ella watched as her new friends jumped into the pool one by one.
When Gray got closer to the pool, Ella had frozen a small piece of the ground causing the unknowing Gray Fullbuster to slip into the pool. When Gray surfaced he saw Ella swimming away from him laughing, Ella turned around and shot Gray a mischievous look that let him know that she was the one who had made him slip into the water. Gray winked at Ella and sank into the water, when Ella turned around; there was Gray who had lifted Ella out of the water and then threw her back into the pool. Ella came up out of the water and glared at Gray menacingly as she got out of the pool and laid herself out on the closest sun chair she could find, when Gray saw this he tried to get out but as Ella had planned; Natsu had gone down the water slide and landed right in top of Gray causing them to fight each other.
Ella watched as the fight began and then looked over at Lucy who held up a soaked beach towel that Happy took and wrapped around the two fighting men, Ella quickly froze the towel around them. All of Fairy Tail watched the following events and couldn't help but laugh as they watched both men try to get out of the towel, when Ella finally unfroze the blanket; Happy had flown them up to the top of the diving board so when the towel finally let them go, they fell off the diving board and landed face down in the pool. Ella quickly ran and hid in the changing room where she changed into her regular clothes, as soon as Ella emerged from the changing room; she looked around searching for Gray. When she didn't see him, she snuck away from the waterpark. After making it half way home Ella came smack dab into a bare chest, when she looked up; Ella found herself face to face with Gray.
Ella jumped back in shock and bowed her head, when she peaked up at Gray; he didn't look angry but rather amused.
"That joke of yours was impressive ya know." He told her when she looked up at him, Ella flashed Gray an impassive glare and crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"That's what you and Natsu get for staring at me today." she stated walking away from him, Gray followed close behind her.
"Ya know if you're done with the water park, we could do something else." Gray suggested keeping up with her easily. Ella turned to Gray and glared, she wasn't sure whether to be mad or laugh at Gray for being so bold, though their original plan for the day was to hang out.
"So what do we do then Fullbuster?" Ella asked trying to walk faster than Gray but failing miserably.
Gray once again caught up to Ella, grabbing her hand in an effort stop her; Ella turned and crossed her arms clearly annoyed. She couldn't understand why she was so annoyed but ever since they had left the water park, she had been so annoyed with Gray but she didn't know the reason for it.
"Ella I'm sorry for staring, I don't know why I did it; I mean I know why but I just can't explain my actions, you just looked so beautiful. I couldn't help myself." Gray admitted as he stumbled over his words, Ella blushed as she listened to her best friend stumble over his words in an effort to compliment her while at the same time explaining his actions, when Ella really looked at his face however; she noticed that he was blushing as well, Gray looked back at Ella and gave her an almost guilty shrug.
