Chapter 1: Simula
"Belle!" I heard a woman's voice calling my name. It's already eight o'clock in the evening.
Nasa may bakuran ako ng bahay namin. My mom and dad aren't here. Nasa Manila sila, inaasikaso ang business namin doon.
My kuya's are already sleeping in their rooms. But for me? I can't sleep without my mommy so I wait for them here outside our house.
"Belle..." I heard a voice again. I looked around. And I saw a lady standing outside our house. I tilted my head to look at her.
"Uh?" Bumaba ako ng duyan at binuksan ang gate namin. "You're not mommy."
"Mommy? Let's find mommy?" Find. Hahanapin namin si Mommy. I smiled at her and stepped out of our house.
"Do you know where they are?" She didn't reply. Holding my hand, naglakad kami sa gitna ng bukid. Madapa dapa pa ako dahil ang bilis niyang maglakad.
Hindi ko alam kung gaano kalayo yon pero huminto kami sa isang abandonadong bahay. May naririnig akong agos ng tubig. I looked around to see nothing.
"Pasok." I looked at her. Pero sinunod ko rin naman siya.
"Mommy is here?" I asked. I saw a boy sitting in the corner. He looked at me, suprised.
"Oh! Adi!" I smiled. Adi. I don't know why did I call him 'Adi'
Tinulak niya ako palapit doon kay 'Adi' napaiyak pa ako ng tumama ang hita ko sa isang matulis na bagay.
"Sshhh. Wag kang maingay. Ayaw niya ng maingay." Adi helped me up. I couldn't see his face properly because of my tears.
"Shut up!" The woman shouted at me.
"Adi why auntie is scary?" Umiiyak ako habang yakap yakap ang tuhod ko.
"Bakit ka sumama sakaniya?" Tanong niya pabalik. Habang pinupunasan ang kakaonting dugo na nasa hita ko.
Napaisip ako. Bakit nga ba ako sumama sakaniya? "Sabi niya hahanapin namin si Mommy!"
"Do you know her?" He asked me again.
I nodded. "She always comes to our house!"
"Next time. Wag kang sasa-" He stopped when 'auntie' grabbed his arms.
"Oh! Adi!" I called him but auntie already shouted the door.
I cried. It's too dark here. I heard a loud scream from Adi. He's asking for help.
Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko, tumayo ako at lalapit sana sa may pintuan pero bigla nalang nandilim ang paningin ko at bumagsak ako.
