Chapter 3: Chapter 2

Her morning ritual as she likes to call it, is the treatment of injured people in the infirmary. People who come to the infirmary are mainly people who have suffered injuries sustained due to accidents or fights. The kind of injuries that don't heal by themselves. Bruises or small cuts are to be healed by their natural healing. Only severe or large wounds are healed in the infirmary.

"Good morning your highness Jessrah. We have arranged to have the most injured at the front and the least at the back." The man says as he walks up to her with a few charts in hand. The man is dressed in white clothes as he has a stethoscope around his neck. A pair of glasses rests on his nose that slowly slides down very five minutes.

"Good work John, ill take it from here" Jessrah says as she walks up to the first patient in the bed. "Though there seems to be less injured than usual. Did something change?" She says as she keeps her eyes on the injured man before him while slicing her finger.

"It seems some troublemakers have left the island, making the number of injured due to brawls a lot less. Those boys know only how to cause trouble. How such troublemakers were born from the Dracule house still remains a mystery" John shrugs while complaining.

"Last week they tried the work of a baker an blew up the furnace while injuring eight people, the week before that they tried the job of a farmer. They destroyed the fence and a herd of bulls marched down the hill into town. That killed one and injured dozens, and don't even get me started on the week before that-"John exclaims exasperated while waving his hand to express his feelings.

"I know how you feel, but they had no talent for swordsmanship or archery. The Dracules are known for their talent in swordsmanship and excellent aim. How do you expect them to keep a job they are inept with, and they don't enjoy, Thom and Jack wanted something they could do and are good at" Jessrah calmly says as she starts with the first injured person.

"Though I wonder if it's a good idea to allow a Dracule to leave the island, even if they were troublemakers. They still have the gift of good eyesight. What if it falls in the hands of an enemy nation? There are rumours about people coming from the moon. How could we compete against that? The gift shouldn't fall in their hands" John replies hesitantly as he eyes Jessrah while they walk towards the next bed.

"If only a few leave it won't pose a problem. The only benefit is an improved eyesight. The people that leave don't have remarkable talent in anything that could bring us harm in the long run… And where done, please be more careful next time." Jessrah says as she sends the now healed man away and continues the discussion.

"What would you suggest, we lock every person that isn't happy up in jail. That will cause a riot. That is not how I want to lead my people. The people of Dracule have every right to happiness in their lives than every other person with no gift. Every resident of my kingdom has a role to play, some hard and some easy, but all roles matter." She says as she continues to treat the injured.

"I understand, though we have to be aware of the threat it may pose in the long run" John sighs as they arrive at the last bed.

"The people from the moon are rumoured to be quite peaceful. If we could make an alliance, we could get a strong ally. I'm more concerned about the nation in the east. Some kingdoms have united under some supremist…" She says as she slows down her pace.

"For now we'll keep an eye out for any trouble that may come our way. But I won't lock my people behind bars. I'll inform the Dracule house, they will watch their own as we watch those who left… as well as the enemy in the east. There I'm done. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an appointment". She states as she walks towards the exit and licks her finger while the wound closes.

"Did you wait long?" Jessrah says as she walks into the dining room towards her chair on the head of the table.

A boy with blond hair and red ringed irises sits at the right side of the table. The boy was quite tall in comparison with Jessrah. Compared to her old world something was deffenitly strange about this one. A boy about 18 years old was already 6'9 ft, while she at eternal ten years old was 3'1ft. He looks at her with an innocent smile, his eyes look at her warmly.

"No, I just arrived"
