Chapter 4: The Next Morning
I woke up, I felt energized. I got a good nights rest.
I take the covers off me and I hop out of bed. I remembered I had to meet up with Damien at the cafe. I quickly get dressed and do my usual morning routine. I rush out of my apartment complex.
I make my way into the cafe, and I spot him at his usual table. He had a Cappuccino while there was a black coffee set on the other side of the table. I smile to myself. He was observant and generous. I made my way over to the table. He looked up from the crossword he was doing. "Good morning." He greets me, giving me a soft smile. I wave, taking a seat. I felt weak in the knees, he was too cute. "I got you a coffee." He said. I nod, "Yes, I noticed. Thank you!" I smile. He nodded, setting the crossword down. I pick up my mug, taking a sip of the coffee. He also drinks his coffee.
We chat for a while. It turns out he lives in my apartment complex, apartment 31. I lived in apartment 35. "I heard there was this movie marathon on later, if you're interested, maybe we can watch it at your place?" He asks me. "Yes, of course." I said, hesitantly. "I mean-yeah, yeah, that's cool." I nervously laugh. He chuckles. "Sounds like a plan, see ya later?" He says. "For sure." I say, nodding.
He stood, pushing in his chair. He walked to the exit, then turned back. He gave a wave to me, before exiting. I waved back, then stood. I exit and walk to my apartment.
