Chapter 7: Hunt
4 months have passed now and so far, Mo Yuanjun has reached 5th stage of Flesh and bone realm, and just like Cheng Qiang he now needs a spirit stone to break through the realm
But they are not rich, neither they are an inner disciple nor have some connection, so what to do?
Simple, go out of the city, into the world full of danger and hunt a very weak beast and get the spirit stone (beast core is different as they are found in much stringer beasts)
So the plan has been made to step out of this prison and sour through the sky and hunt a beast
Also, as the time passed by 4 months, Cheng Qiang, at first wanted to befriend with benefits with Mo Yuanjun, but later as time passed he come to realize how foolish he was
Mo Yuanjun had always been kind to him and others so Cheng Qiang started to feel ashamed and when he realized just how kind Qin Shi Huang (don't forget, that's the name Mo Yuanjun has told everyone) is, he genuinely wanted to be his true friend
Same with Hu Shuchun, as time passed she also started to feel good and secure around Mo Yuanjun and soon became a close friend or Qin Shi Huang and Cheng Qiang
All 3 are now very close friends and spend most of their time together while doing all types of work (except private ones)
After making proper plans and taking leave from the sect for a few days, all 3 had made up their mind that they will hunt at least one beast for sure.
Also, Hu Shuchun is at the 4th stage of Flesh and bone realm and soon she will also advance to 5th stage
Two 5th stages of Flesh and Bone realm and one 4th stage of Flesh and Bone realm, they can hunt a beast together, right?

Both Mo Yuanjun and Hu Shuchun looked at each other and said "YUP" and then all 3 of them walked into the forest in search of their prey
(they are carrying weapons on their back, as they don't have storage ring)

Time passed by as they search for the beast of their level but so far, they got nothing in their hands
They did meet various other beast's like a wolf, tiger, and other beasts but all of them were not even worth their level so they didn't even bait their eyes on them
(Actually, those 3 were so scared that they didn't even want to show their shadows to those beasts, who knows what will happen)
As they walked a little bit deeper, finally they found an orange fox.
"Shh, it's here" Cheng Qiang said and stopped Mo Yuanjun and Hu Shuchun from moving ant further
Those 2 also noticed the orange fox but the moment Mo Yuanjun saw the fox, his eye was almost out and was about to shout.
'What the Fish!!! Why the hell is this fox so big?' Mo Yuanjun asked himself as he looked at the fox size.
The fox size was around his height and as we all know, on earth, the fox height is not so big. So, becoming shocked is ok right?
"Thank god it just a small cub" Hu Shuchun said after looking at the beast, from behind the bush (all of them are together)
At Hu Shuchuns word, Mo Yuanjun really wanted to puke blood now.
'That's small????? If that is fucking small then what the hell is the size of the adult??' Mo Yuanjun asked himself loudly
He knew that this is another world and when he read those wuxia novels, those fucking Mc remained calm, don't know how but they remained calm and even hunt that beast
But Mo Yuanjun is not an Mc, he knows his limit and how worst his luck can get. So, being scared is not a big deal
One more thing that made Mo Yuanjun feel shame on his manhood was that even Hu Shuchun was all ok after seeing that orange human-sized fox

But then he noticed something,

Those 2 looked at him and said "If we want to be an immortal, then we should not fear anything"

There face's were firm as stone with no emotion like those warriors we read in fantasy stories but their legs (Both Cheng Qiang and Hu Shuchun) were shaking with fear
"Your words and your body doesn't match up properly" Mo Yuanjun said to them
At that, both of them said "do you think we are some superhero? Off-course we are scared"
Mo Yuanjun giggled at this
Now, what to do?
All 3 of them had this question in their head.
The fox is in front, it has no friend or family around him, it's all alone and they are 3. So can they hunt it?
Hu Shuchun had a sword, Cheng Qiang had spear and sword with him, as for Mo Yuanjun, he had a bow and arrows with him
At first, both Hu Shuchun and Cheng Qiang asked why he is making a bow for himself, as a martial artist don't carry a bow with them, they only have a sword or any other weapon
But what can Mo Yuanjun do here; from his middle school life he had practiced archery as he never felt kendo or other close combat things great.
It was as if he knew them and its boring for him, so that's the reason why he chooses Archery.
And to their questions, Mo Yuanjun smiled and said "I'll be supporting that's why. Also, I have never practiced sword or any other weapon"
Cheng Qiang and Hu Shuchun were confused at this, but as a friend, they accepted what Mo Yuanjun wanted to do and didn't say anything against it
Now present time
"Anyone made a plan?" Cheng Qiang asked those 2 (Hu Shuchun and Qin Shi Huang)
Both of them were silent
Mo Yuanjun just kept on looking at the fox, as after drinking water (he is near the small water stream) he sleeps near it
Suddenly he got a plan
"I got a plan, want to listen?" He asked Cheng Qiang and Hu Shuchun
Both of them nodded and Mo Yuanjun started telling his plan
"I will first attack at that fox from some range to keep myself safe. And if I aimed correctly, I think I could kill him"
At Mo Yuanjun's word, both of them were stunned
He continued "But if failed, the beast will get alert, but he will still receive some damage from me. So all you both have to do is keep yourself safe and attract him towards yourself and I'll do the rest of the work. Are you up for it?"
At his question, both of them Gulped their dry saliva
'Be safe and attract its attention when it's injured?' Both of them had this same question in their mind
Sounds risky but the way Mo Yuanjun described the plan with confidence both of them got ready for it.
No-Risk No Reward
With everything in planned, all 3 of them moved silently near the fox, Mo Yuanjun climbed up a big tree to get a good angle and set his aim

Mo Yuanjun took a deep breath and focused his all senses on the neck of the beast.

Hu Shuchun and Cheng Qiang, both ready their heart for the upcoming fight for life. It's either the victory or their death

Mo Yuanjun let his deep breath out, slowly and then set his arrow on the neck of the fox. Right now he was under massive pressure.
He knows very well that his archery is good, but is it strong enough to kill the beast in one shot? What will happen if he fails?
Will he and his friends die?
Right now, not just his life but his friend's life also are on his shoulders, if the marksman fails to kill, then the fighter will surely die.

Mo Yuanjun let the arrow go
The speed of the arrow was so fast that no one could sense anything

Not just Hu Shuchun and Cheng Qiang but even Mo Yuanjun was shocked at the scene in front of him
It was one shot, one kill
The arrow pierced the skin of the fox and the fox died in his sleep without even noticing anything. The arrow was half inside the neck of the fox
Both Hu Shuchun and Cheng Qiang started praising Mo Yuanjun

The 2 of them are really happy right now but only Mo Yuanjun knows how much pressure he was facing
If he failed, it was the end for 3 of them
Sweat could be seen all over his face. Mo Yuanjun wiped his sweat and with a smile, he looked at his 2 friends and said "So, who needs the fox scarf?"
After that kill, the 2 of them (Hu Shuchun and Cheng Qiang) started to skin the beast to sell its leather and also cut its meat and saved it for later
Finally, after cleaning the whole fox body, they saw a small stone in blue color.
And when they hold it in their hand, they could feel some qi/essence inside it, it was a genuine spirit stone.
Cheng Qiang and Hu Shuchun become happy and hugged each other and Mo Yuanjun as finally one of them could breakthrough
But for Mo Yuanjun, he is more worried about himself now.
He is a mortal from the earth where this Qi/essence or anything else is not there, so how was he able to advance stages and do cultivation without any herbal bath?

There were many questions which Mo Yuanjun had in his mind but he knew one thing, if he wants an answer to these questions, he has to be strong and find that girl in his dream

"Here, it was your kill, so you are the one has the right over it" Cheng Qiang said to Mo Yuanjun and gave him the spirit stone
Mo Yuanjun just laughed at this and said "You are the one who gave a place to stay when I had no one around me, more than me it belongs to you"
Again, Cheng Qiang said "No, you are the one who did the work so it should be you"
Both of them keep giving each other Spirit stone but didn't accept it, at this Hu Shuchun, who was looking at the spirit stone move here and there like a hungry kid
Asked, "If you both don't want, then can I have it?"
"huh?" Both of them turned their head at Hu Shuchun
Hu Shuchun though she messed up again and smiled awkwardly, but to her surprise, Mo Yuanjun gave her the spirit stone and said "Off-course, you can have it. And also, girls should always be first"
At this, Hu Shuchun stared at both of them and both, Mo Yuanjun and Cheng Qinag nodded and gave her the spirit stone
Having spirit stone in her hand, Hu Shuchun became so happy that she jumped like a kid and then hugged both of them and in a cute way said "THANK YOU"
To Mo Yuanjun, Hu Shuchun's childish behavior is like little sister which makes him happy as he had long lost his family

After this, 3 of them took their time and collect other resources like herbs and killing a few more beasts (around 4-5) which were all killed by Mo Yuanjun's arrow all of them took their step back and walked back to their home.
Though those 2 (Cheng Qiang and Hu Shuchun) wanted to hunt more Mo Yuanjun told them that, it will be soon night time and we should not be greedy, thus they agreed to walk back home
After reaching home, they distributed their stuff, meat was shared among the whole village and fox skin was sold to a few small merchants at a good price.
As for spirit stone, each had 2 with them
Now all that's left is to enjoy the starry night and then breakthrough this Flesh and bone realm to the Soul realm
