Chapter 73: Don’t Make Me Say It You Devil!
"W-What do you mean?" Abbie stuttered as Alex gave her a mischievous gaze.
"You'll find out tonight," Alex replied off-handedly which made Abbie's face turn crimson.
'I-Is he thinking what I'm thinking?!' Abbie screamed internally as she thought of a candle light dinner, a bathtub filled with flower petals, a large and comfy bed that is perfect for…this and that!
The chubby girl held her cheeks in embarrassment, shame, and a little bit of anticipation. As if on cue, two mini Abbie's appeared on her left and right shoulders.
"Finally the time has come!" The devil Abbie's smile was very smug, while the angel Abbie was covering her face with her hands while going "Uwawawah!"
"Abbie, my girl, listen to me," the devil Abbie whispered. "It would be best if you don't resist. Just let Alex handle everything and enjoy it to the fullest!"
"W-Wait!" The angel Abbie flew in front of Abbie's face. Although her own little head[face] was beet red, she still decided to make her opinion known. "I-It's best if you use protection!"
"Heh," the devil Abbie chuckled. "You're not against it, huh?"
"W-Why would I be against it?" The angel Abbie tried to put on a courageous front. "Alex is our future hubby. I-It's only normal to d-do…"
"To do?" the devil Abbie asked in a teasing manner. It knew that tonight's event was already a done deal as long as Abbie nodded her head and went along with Alex's whims!
"To do…" The angel Abbie once again covered her face with her hands. "D-Don't make me say it you devil!"
Since the little angel had already waved her undies in surrender, the devil then caressed Abbie's face. "Listen, you don't have to worry about anything. Even if it takes a few years until our Little Alex grows up, in the end he will still be our hubby. What's the use of waiting when you can have the goods now?"
"You can just take it as an advanced payment while you wait for our little fruit to ripen. After that...we eat him up. Understood?"
Abbie slowly nodded her head. The little Devil and Angel turned into particles of light the moment Abbie gave her consent. The dice had been thrown. It was up to Alex now to decide how he would handle the rest of the night.
Alex watched as Abbie nodded her head. His heart felt full when his beloved didn't seem to reject his idea. The two finished the tour of the aquarium and made their way back to the resort. Along the way, the two didn't talk.
Abbie was doing her best to look everywhere except in Alex's direction. The unspoken promise between the two of them was making her heart beat wildly. She was only nineteen years old. A young lady, but if something happened tonight, she would then be a young woman.
Anticipation, worry, embarrassment, and excitement, bubbled deep within her heart. This went on until they reached the hotel. Abbie struggled to leave the passenger seat of the pedicab because her legs felt weak.
She only found the strength to stand when Alex proposed that he carry her all the way to her room. For some reason, she believed that Alex would be able to back up his words. However, the scene of her being carried by Alex, knowing how many people were around to watch them, would definitely cause a commotion.
"F-Five minutes," Abbie compromised. "I'll be fine after five minutes." She was standing, but her body was leaning on Alex's body for support. Alex happily enveloped Abbie inside his embrace and whispered words of love in her ear.
The sweet words didn't help Abbie's current situation and only made her legs feel weaker. She thumped Alex's chest with her closed fist to make him stop teasing her. Alex chuckled, but understood her intention. He simply stood and held his beloved as he closed his eyes in satisfaction.
'I wish that this moment could last forever,' Alex thought. There are only a few hours remaining before the potion lost its effect. Alice had been very generous when she spent her points to buy the, very expensive, growth potion for him.
Even now, she was still working behind the scenes in order to support him and Abbie. Alex wished that Aiden would succeed in winning Alice's heart. After all, both of them were in the same boat. Only heroes summoned from Edea truly understood the mechanics behind the summoning.
Unfortunately, they were not allowed to say anything to anyone. Otherwise, they would suffer extreme repercussions.
"I think I can walk now," Abbie said as she raised her head to look at Alex's face.
Alex nodded and reluctantly let her go. Abbie walked towards the hotel leaving Alex a few steps behind her. Although there was a short distance between the two of them, their hearts were closer than ever before.
When the two arrived in front of Abbie's room, they noticed a lady standing by the door. With a glance, Alex and Abbie could tell that she was one of the hotel's staff because of her uniform.
"Are you perhaps Ms. Abbie Matthews?" the lady asked. Her gaze briefly passed Alex's face before looking at Abbie with a smile.
"Yes. I am Abbie," Abbie replied. "Is there something that you need from me?"
The lady nodded her head, "I was sent here by Ms. Alice to pick you up and pass along a message."
"A message from Alice?" Abbie asked. Since the four of them had dinner, she hadn't seen the shadows of Alice and Aiden inside the resort. It was as if the two of them weren't even there. She was very curious about what the beautiful blondie was up to, so she nodded her head to allow the staff member to continue.
"Ms. Alice said, I have prepared something special for you. Don't ask anything and just follow the staff member!"
Alex smiled when he heard Alice's message. It was so very like her. The staff even imitated Alice's expression which made the scene even funnier.
"Just go."Alex gently patted Abbie's back. "Alice is doing her best for both of us. I'm sure that she has also prepared a few things on my end."
"If you say so," Abbie replied with a sigh. "I'll see you later."
Alex leaned closer and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Wait for me, I wouldn't miss this for the world."
"Mmm." Abbie held the back of Alex's neck and gently pulled him closer. She, too, kissed him on the cheeks which made the staff want to take her place!
The two reluctantly part with the promise to meet later in the ballroom. Tonight would be a special night, and both of them were looking forward to seeing the surprises that were prepared especially for them.
