Chapter 112: Copying to Learn
Mu Yue was dumbfounded when she heard this. Was this supposed to be Xiao Yan's way of dealing with her? Why does it sound good to her than her becoming afraid to it?
Xiao Yan chuckled, "Sorry for manipulating your emotions, Mu Yue. I wanted to know what you truly feel and I can say I was touched. You will now have my full trust. You are now a part of my own family. This means you are now counted to my close relatives."
"Does it make you happy when you make fun of me?" Mu Yue asked ominously.
Xiao Yan was startled. "Umm yes?"
"Using your own words… I wanted to do the same to you. You will let me, won't you?"
Xiao Yan gulped. Was this what her brothers always tell her? That girls sometimes can become scary? This surprised her so much that she forgot she was also a girl.
"Hahaha, Mu Yue, don't you think the weather is nice?"
"It's night time."
Xiao Yan looked at the window and saw it was still dark outside.
"I-I meant, it is currently cold so why don't you let me cuddle to you to keep ourselves warm?"
"Cold? Don't worry, that came from me."
"Eh? From you?"
"Yes, I don't know why or how but I can manipulate ice to some extent. I don't have the power to freely freeze things yet but I can make it cold."
"Can you tell me more? This piqued my interest."
As for why Xiao Yan said this, she noticed that she successfully changed the topic of their chat. This made her sigh.
Mu Yue saw this and did nothing. At least she won't yet.
"I can make the temperature drop. I should also be able to control ice. I found out about it when I was cultivating earlier. I think I unconsciously made and controlled some ice."
The reason was she was under the moonlight. As mentioned earlier in the story, she will be stronger under the moon. She will continually become better of it as she can already make things cold even with just a night of cultivation in this new stage.
"I'm happy for you, Mu Yue. Now you have a chance to become a Sword and Spell Cultivator." Xiao Yan mentioned.
Mu Yue smiled at her. "Thank you but I don't think the same to you. I'm not happy with you right now. I wonder why… it feels like I forgot something."
"You don't need to remember things. You will naturally remember them so don't force yourself. Let us cuddle together and sleep." Xiao Yan hurriedly stretched her arms as she hugs Mu Yue.
"How will you make it up to me, Xiao Yan? You made me mad earlier and I still am." Mu Yue asked. Time for her to be what Xiao Yan like.
"I feel like you are starting to copy me…"
"It's what I learned from my lover."
"I will cook you food then."
"Wasn't this what I told you earlier, Xiao Yan? Not that I don't like it. I want to see you cooking as well as taste your food."
"Sure I'll do that in the morning" Xiao Yan said while mumbling silently, "Just don't hate me after…"
"Also Xiao Yan, can I trust the principal like how I trusted you? He was the one that said that parents can sell their children. What if he does the same to me since he knows my secret…" Mu Yue asked.
'You messed up so bad, old man. Don't worry though, I'll make sure to use it well.' Xiao Yan thanked Zhi Li on her mind.
"You can trust him but not to the same extent to how you trust me. His must be LESSER alright?" Xiao Yan made sure to emphasize the important part.
"Ah sure."
"And if he did sell you… I will buy you! This way I will literally own you haha." Xiao Yan jested.
"But I'm already yours, only yours Xiao Yan." Mu Yue teased.
"You have been learning well, but I'll take the offer."
"Learning from the best."
They spent the rest of the night beside each other as they improve their relationship. Mu Yue had a glimpse of Xiao Yan's hidden side and decided that she was not ready to face it.
As for Xiao Yan being possessive of her? That was not something she would be mad at. She liked it as this would mean she will stay together with Xiao Yan.
She was attracted to Xiao Yan's warmth. Xiao Yan was first attracted to her cold. Opposite attracts each other… a good way to describe them.
