Chapter 62: Hospital raid
Sabaku was having a hard time calming down, he knows today is when shit hits the fan and he is aware that shigaraki is more dangerous than AFO at the current moment in time due to him not having injuries holding him back. He's sitting in a vehicle transporting heroes to the hospital. Ryukyu and Mirko are here as well and chose to take his warnings to heart after hearing about what an old AFO could do.
Endeavour was also here and the scar he got from the high end nomu looks bad ass. Present mic was sitting in the back with his headphones jamming out but he didn't have his usual smile on his face. Mina texted me that my masters are in the city helping the evacuation, I told them to be there instead of the hospital. When pops asked me why I told him that gigomanchia is more likely to go through the city to reach shigaraki than detour.
He didn't complain after that statement, after a half an hour drive we unloaded outside the hospital and made our way in. I have to use my haki sparingly as if I overload it I'll grow lethargic and weak. I can't afford to be like that today so I used observation to scan the doctors office for hidden spaces.
Found one instantly so I turned to sand and made my way there. Mirko did the same as she could smell his tracks, we ended up at a bookcase which she wanted to smash. I stopped her and placed my hand on the wood eroding it instantly revealing a steel door and a motion sensor so I rusted the door and destroyed the sensor from the inside out with some sand.
My sand absorbs sound and her feet are equipped with support tech that mimics a rabbits padfoot that can do the same. We walked silently down the hallway towards a door with a hand print keypad. I clicked my wrist to erode the wiring and force the door to unlock. The sand gently pushed the door open to show a horrifying sight.
Dr ujiko, the bald fat man with green gear glasses and the longevity quirk was sitting on his chair watching the screens of the hospital as the heroes checked around. The room was filled with Vats containing nomu, corpses, brains, blood samples, chemicals and some sort of compound analyser. Before Mirko could rush him I used my observation to search the room.
I found shigaraki but his percentage was at 85% and he looked bulked up compared to USJ. I also found the capsules for the high end nomu and within the compound analyser was the bullets made from eri. I let Mirko off her leash to smash ujiko while I destroyed the bullets completely while acting like I was smashing and destroying nomu tanks.
The squeals of Ujiko were disgusting to me, he screamed things like "NOOO!!!!! MY SAMPLES! JOHNNNN!!!! gET ME OUT" but I crushed the little nomu's with a sand coffin. When there was no more movement from them I released the sand. He beelined for his computer but Mirko smashed it and kicked him in the face. I made my sand grip him to the ground while I marched into the other chamber.
I reached for my radio "ujiko is detained, we've found shigaraki but he's in some sort of capsule with a percentage that's going up. 87% so I'm pulling him out." Ujiko seemed to have heard me as he began squealing louder while Mirko smashed more nomu capsules so they died instantly.
As I was about to swing I heard ujiko "order 66! CODE SITH5". Then I was blasted away by four artifices nomu before I could even process the reference. I cracked the glass on shigaraki's fish tank while Mirko lunges at the nomu. "Luna fall!" She screamed kicking one into the ground.
I can't use my big moves as they are evacuating the hospital above so I fire sand blades and decapitate one of the other 3 nomu. Desert trailed over to him and desiccated his body so he couldn't regenerate while firing sand blasts at the container.
Mirko began shivering once she looked at shigaraki and screamed over the radio she's ending him now before jumping towards the case. The other two nomu snapped their heads towards her and used their quirks. One fired bone missiles while the other sprayed webs. I jumped in front of the web while covering the missiles with sand to contain them. They exploded but the sand contained them while I decayed the webs and yanked the nomu towards me.
"Barján!!" I shouted swiping the nomu with sand taking it out of the equation. As for the other one it reloaded and was about fire before a huge screech reaches it. Present mic arrived and blasted it to the ground while Mirko smashed the case killing shigaraki.
I let out a sigh until I realised the pig wasn't squealing. I looked towards him and he had a sickening smile on his face so I used observation haki, the thing Mirko kicked wasn't shigaraki it was a twice mud clone. It plopped to the ground, while shigaraki walked out from behind another capsule.
"Idiot!!! He was freed the second the capsule was damaged." Ujiko bragged while shigaraki looked around confused until he spotted me and the other two. The monitor said he was at 88% so he'll be stronger than the canon one. He blurred towards us and struck me in the gut so I turned that part to sand and decked him in the face.
He got instantly and looked at me while scratching his head. "Oh right, that quirk doesn't work on you. How about this one?" He said casually pointing his palm at me. I used future vision to see five seconds ahead but my ears began hurting throwing my concentration off. He has a sound related quirk but I couldn't do anything as I felt something scorching hot impact me and blast em through the ceiling into the sky.
Endeavour and other heroes glanced up to see me airborne with my costume burned at the front. He blasted me with the same quirks AFO did but the temperature and water pressure was much higher. It felt like I was hit by a train, I can't offset the momentum yet so I riding it out till I hit the ground while the others all attacked shigaraki which made the hospital decay.
I saw mirko grab present mic and lunar walk out the hole I made which means they left ujiko to die. I saw some heroes turn to dust as I landed and got to my feet while the infection of decay spread. "GET BEHIND ME" I said as I rushed forward and sent dunes of sand forward over the decay halting it in place. A flaming pillar formed in the sky highlighting that the real fight has just begun.
