Chapter 88: Chapter 88: Completing The Mission

They headed towards the guild, along with all the things they were carrying. Godo carried 2 box stacked on top of each other, and Folaei carried 1. The kids carried things like jewellery, smaller boxes, some antique looking objects and overall things that were smaller in size.

The busy crowds were also no problem to deal with. With Godo at the head carrying two boxes, the crowds quickly gave way. After running through some streets, they reached the doors of the guild.

"Let's place them down here. I'll go in with Nene and submit it. You guys should stay here and protect them from being stolen."

Godo quickly arranged the group. The others, maybe because of their exhaustion, agreed instantly. So with no further time wasted, Godo went in. Nene seeing that, quickly sat on Godo's shoulder as she breathed out with great intensity and exhaustion.

As he walked inside, the others that were currently inside the guild saw him, and they shouted out with a hint of mocking hidden behind them,

"Hey! Old man, how's it going with that mission of yours? You and your team better be careful with those bandits out there!"

Godo, even though he recognised the mocking tone in the sentence, felt kinda happy with the warning that was present in it. If they were some young newbies that had joined the guild out of enthusiasm and a sense of adventure, those kind of warning would have been useful to a certain extent.

So Godo flashed a smile to the man who shouted, then he approached the receptionist.

"I would like to submit the mission we took. We have placed the retrieved supplies outside."

"Oh ok. Could you tell me your name? And if you have a team with you, their names as well?"

Godo wondered why people didn't seem to recognise Nene was there, quickly deducing it as Nene being too small, he suddenly lowered his volume and whispered,

"Yes but firstly, could i speak with the Guildmaster? I have something important to tell him."

"I apologise but that will not be possible."

She replied back sternly. Which was quickly followed by,

"Ok then how will i make it possible."

"Uh um"

Rather taken aback by the quick and sudden response by Godo, the receptionist began to think about how to reply. Believing that just informing the Guildmaster would not cause too much trouble, and with how he was not budging after that stern reply, she thought that he may be an acquaintance of the Guildmaster. So she said to Godo,

"Ok then please wait, let me notify him."

Then she left the reception to go upstairs to the Guildmaster's room. After waiting around for a few seconds, the receptionist finally came back down.

"He said you can come."

'!!'

The others inside the guild were shocked. He was able to meet the Guildmaster that easily? The Guildmaster was the kind of man who didn't allow relations and connections to get hold of things. He was, to a certain extent a man of the law, only allowing people he have recognised to meet him regularly.

So, that meant that this old man right here was quite the man, he had earned the recognition of the Guildmaster of the Capital City Exeem, a man who was sometimes called the Grandmaster.

Well while they were making guesses about who he could be, he had disappeared.

Up in the Guildmaster's room. There was an old man and a spirit, sitting down on the quite comfortable looking couch. In front of them was the Guildmaster, with his stacks of paper, waiting to be either signed or read.

"So what have you come here for Sir Godo and Nene? I was wondering who it was when the receptionist told me an old man had requested to talk to me. I'm guessing it's about the qualification?"

Godo, then crossed his arms together, Nene did the same, not really knowing why

"Actually it's another thing, i guess you could say it's something serious."

"What kind of serious is it?"

"You see, we had previously taken a mission to retrieve some supplies at the 1st Zone of the Izhia Forest. And while we were there, i used my magic to scout around, and came across this group of bandit who were staying in a cave.

So i proceeded to check the inside of the cave, and i happened to stumble across prisoners who looked like adventurers."

'Woah, Sir Godo did all that?'

Nene exclaimed in her mind

Then Godo quickly used his magic to draw out the map of the inside of the cave on a piece of paper that he was holding on his pocket. Then he gave it to the Guildmaster,

"Here, this is how the insides of the cave looks like."

The Guildmaster was not that surprised, he stood up and he calmly walked over to Godo. Nene flew up to look at the map along with the Guildmaster, which made her surprised and wonder when did he had the time to draw this map. After looking at the map that was drawn, the Guildmaster began to think,

'This map is too intricate and well detailed to be fake. And if what he says is true, we need to quickly issue a notice for a rescue mission'

"Oh and also, there may be a magical array in the deepest part of the cave, i felt some kind of magic when i was looking around the room."

'So there's also a high chance that they possess mages in their ranks'

"If that's how things are Sir Godo, do you mind if the guild bought this map from you?"

"Haha, no need for such acts Guildmaster, you can just borrow it. Take it as a token of friendship from a fellow oldie."

Hearing this, the Guildmaster smiled, and thanked Godo.

'Friendship huh? Haven't heard that in a long time'

"Then don't mind if i take this right away."

The Guildmaster said while laughing. After that they talked together for a little bit. All the while Nene was there,

'They must have forgotten about me'

She thought. After a while of happy discussion, Godo said that making his team wait for too long wouldn't be good. The Guildmaster understood,

"Then i guess you two should go back down. It was fun talking with you."

"Yes, indeed it was."

Godo replied back smiling and laughing.

So Godo got up, and Nene did the same. Then after going back down, he reported his and the others names to the receptionist, after which he went out and told the team to bring in the supplies.

After placing them down on the floor of the guild, workers quickly came and took the supplies to a storage room, where the person who issued the mission would come and pick up the things.

And just like that, a D Rank Mission was completed in a day, and they each earned 10 silver. So without further ado, they decided to use it.

After walking around the city for a bit, they decided to enter a slightly more fancier looking restaurant. It was a bit strange as to why they haven't entered a building that gave of a noble vibe, considering that this was the capital city of the human kingdom.

Inside, was something that the kids had never seen yet. It was much different than the standard inn or tavern that they were used to. There were nice looking chairs, the floor was sparkling a bit, and some of the people were wearing suits wore by rich people.

A/N: Please do note that noble and rich people are different.

Their arrival didn't really surprise the customers that much, seemed like adventurers also visited this place from time to time. So they went and sat down on one of the tables.

The menu was written on the table itself, and it clearly offered more than the inns.

The kids ordered things that sounded tasty, and the adults, just ordered slightly modified versions of what they liked. They stayed there for atleast 10 minutes. Then they left.

"The food was much tastier than the ones at the inn right?"

Shuya asked Rai and Nene,

"Mm"

They both nodded.

"Indeed, it tasted fresher and more high quality, not to mention the overall atmosphere inside the restaurant."

Folaei added.

"It indeed was."

Godo came and also said.

"So what should we do for the rest of the day?"

"Why don't we go back to training for now?"

Folaei replied back.

"Well, if you guys want to, I'm always open anytime. Do you kids agree?"

They did. So they headed back to the inn.

Somewhere Far Far Away, In Another Plane Of Existence.

There, inside a beautiful green place surrounded by beautiful flowers, rocks carved with excellent efficiency, and trees and bushes of different sizes. There was a small wooden house built on one of the clearings, and inside it, in the kitchen, sat two divine beings, their names were Exodus and Mear.

"How long has it been since we've last sat down like this, just enjoying the calm and talking to one another."

The being of light said, posing a question.

"A long time. Very long actually. I can't remember exactly, but it has been long. This kind of serenity was what i used to love, and i continue to love today. Drinking things such as tea and other natural drinks. It's like I'm back at the beginning."

"Indeed. Just like that time, when responsibility wasn't born yet, it may have been a better time. So, what do you think of Lilia Flous?"

"She, she seems to be talented. Very quick to catch on with the topics that we discuss. I'm guessing it is the same for you as well, Ex."

"It is. A natural talent, no, more like a divine talent. There may never be another like her for the next few eons. She really is exceptional, I'm actually glad that she made that request to the Creator. You could say she is the only one qualified enough to be our student. She has also slowly began to gain the power of Creation and Destruction."

The being named Mear nodded to her words.

"Exceptional talent and comprehensive abilities. An age that is not yet enough to even be considered an adult in the age of the Elves."

She said. And outside from the window, were shouts of dedication, shouts that screamed training, ones that reflected how hard she was trying. Looking at the source of the shouts, one would meet a girl. She was currently being trained martial arts and body tempering techniques from her teacher, Inxophus. Also called the being of darkness.

A/N: This next paragraph is, yeah.

The divine being was actually sometimes called the Heavenly Divine Physique Eliminating Destroyer, a very conspicuous name. It was given to her by the mortals that defied the way of the heavens, they were mortals that could achieve immortality. Also called Cultivators.

They absorbed essence from around them, which they called Qi, and slowly tempered their flesh, internals, mind, soul and other parts which eventually lead to them becoming immortals. When they will ascend to a place called the Immortal Realm. Above this was the Heavenly Realm.

They had given the divine being such name because of an incident. Her avatar, also named mortal body, had destroyed thousands and thousands of mortal's and immortal's cultivations before. Completely draining them of their lifelong work, which naturally lead them to their deaths.

And this feat was not an easy one. With her avatar not even holding a speck of her original abilities, fighting multiple immortal cultivatiors without being one herself would naturally require extremely refined martial arts. This led to her being called the previously mentioned, Heavenly Divine Physique Eliminating Destroyer.

"That name, I've already given that up!"

The being of darkness shouted to her fellow divine beings.

"Never mention that to the Creator! That name is too stupid for my liking!"

She continued. The other two divine beings, laughed and chuckled.

"You will have to stop me!"

The being of light shouted back.

Far Into The Distance, A Divine Entity Watched

"Heavenly Divine Physique Eliminating Destroyer huh?"

He seemed to be thinking.

"That seems,

kinda cool."
